The CCTV Movie Channel, commonly referred to by viewers as the Six Princess.
Because it airs films so capriciously: during the Japanese Pri Minister’s visit to the United States, it aired "Pearl Harbor"; during the Scottish referendum, "Braveheart"; during Paris protests, "Les Misérables"; and on Valentine’s Day, various films about couples having bad outcos.
Furthermore, its Weibo official account shows a female gender, its Bilibili signature is "Hmph~", and it is also a direct channel under the Central Propaganda Departnt, managed by the National Film Bureau. It’s like the Central Propaganda Departnt’s own daughter, and an adopted daughter of CCTV, which gives it the persona of a tsundere heiress.
At this mont, one of Six Princess’s flagship programs, the "Huaguo Film Report" team, was gathered in the conference room discussing work arrangents.
"The shortlist for the main competition unit at Cannes has been released. This year, three films from our country have been shortlisted. Let’s discuss how to follow up on them," said producer Ding Yan, starting the discussion.
"Three films? So many this year?"

The second film, "Shadow Kill", is from the new generation director Cheng Bo, about spies both dostic and international during warti, entangled in love and hatred, with a tightly wound and conflicting story that also has so comrcial elents.

Wang Yun paused in surprise, "Wu Mu and Lin Xueming’s daughter’s film also got shortlisted?"

Wu Mu?
Others in the conference room caught the keyword and imdiately turned to check.
It really is Wu Mu.
The film "Separation", directed by Lin Qingyue and starring Wu Mu, tells of high school love and separation.
Scriptwriter Mu Yang quickly flipped through and couldn’t help but quietly exclaim, "Wu Mu’s career is truly booming; he’s thriving across the board. Singing in Japan was already a big hit, and now even his film is shortlisted for Cannes."

This is a complete multidia success: films, TV, variety shows, both dostically and internationally. With comrcial box office hits and leading roles, just give it a few more years for a strong foundation, and it’s precisely the state every celebrity dreams of.
No need to worry about any aspect cooling down.
Most people in the conference room knew about Wu Mu; even if they didn’t know him before, they pretty much did after this morning’s events.
After all, even if this was a film channel, it was still a news story released by CCTV. Even as CCTV’s adopted daughter, they would still pay so attention to their cousins’ whereabouts.
Such a versatile figure, such a high-quality image, and so positively regarded abroad; he’s actually a great candidate for promotion.
But unfortunately, his flaws are just too major.

As a channel directly under the Central Propaganda Departnt, CCTV Six in so aspects shoulders the responsibility of serving the national cultural strategy, which is undoubtedly focused on cultural export presently.
So for films entering international festivals in these recent years, their channel invariably follows and invests resources in publicity.

This year, the focus of Cannes discussions largely surrounded a few international films, with the dostic films being distinctly less noticeable, almost feeling a bit cold.
"However, if it were up to , I’d say among the three, ’Yangtze River’ has the best chance. These sorts of films about third world struggles and history, focusing on small fates under larger era thes have always been within Cannes’ strike zone."
Others nodded in agreent, "’Shadow Kill’ would be next. Films about the human struggle amidst war, testing humanity, are also favored by Cannes. Plus, with Cannes even hinting at incorporating more comrcial elents in recent years, ’Shadow Kill’ fits right in with its own touches of comrcial content."
