Chapter 134: Chapter 134: The Terrifying Silk Thread Tsunami!_1
Tuck’s steam roaring defiance clearly angered those puppets silk lines that had begun to show spirituality.
Soon, more and more puppet silk lines gathered together, like voracious pythons, bloodthirsty vines.
They rapidly converged from the depths of darkness.
In a short ti, the number of puppet silk lines increased more than tenfold.
And their target was the fla barrier constructed by the witchcraft of wind and fire powered by the steam origin energy that Tuck had built.
“Whoosh…”
The gathering puppet silk line vines ford a wave of puppet silk lines over a dozen ters high.
In front of Tuck, a massive world of puppet silk lines was woven.
Afterward, the puppet silk line wave suddenly pressed down.
“The intensity of their spirituality is even more astonishing than I imagined,” Tuck said, furrowing his brows.
“Could it be that the Puppet Master is about to complete their advancent?”
Distracted by the chaos, and in a hurry on his journey, Tuck had no ti to delicately sense the situation inside the puppet silk lines.
Nevertheless, with the current chaos, Tuck’s spiritual perception probably couldn’t pick up much anyway.
After all, spiritual perception also required a stable environnt to function properly.
Boom…
The puppet silk line wave pressed down relentlessly.
The witchcraft barrier Tuck had constructed was clearly depressed by the pressure.
Just as it seed about to fail,
Tuck, with a flick of his fingers, continued to increase the input of steam origin energy.
Whirring…
Amidst the roar of steam, a hazy grey mist of steam surrounded Tuck, and he channeled a large amount of steam origin energy into the nightmare flas and hurricane.
Only then did he rebuff the aggressive puppet silk line wave.
For others, it was difficult to supplent original energy to a completed witchcraft.
They needed to use thods like constructing a “Spiritual Bridge Rune” for transferring origin energy.
For Tuck, however, this was just one of the techniques attached to his SSS level talent, Steam Origin Spirit State.
Investing steam origin energy to extend and even strengthen witchcraft wasn’t a problem.
Depending on these two spells, Tuck could resist for a long ti.
“Now!”
Just then, Barkin imdiately roared from beside him.
“Let’s go!”
Tuck grabbed Barkin’s shoulder in one swift motion.
With a [Phase Walking], both disappeared simultaneously.
As Tuck withdrew,
The nurous bizarre puppet silk lines imdiately breached the defense, pouring in with a furious montum.
They tore apart the stones and pillars, even lifting the ground by half a ter’s thickness.
Facing these strange and grotesque puppet silk lines, even shadow walk might result in being snatched right on the spot.
Phase walking was a safer bet.
After two phase transitions,
Tuck had already reached near the Sheep Circle Keeper.
As Tuck looked over,
Indeed.
In the depths of the Sheep Circle Keeper’s area, the Exorcism Altar had already raised a protective barrier.
Dozens of tis more puppet silk lines than those that had besieged Tuck surrounded the Exorcism Altar completely.
In fact, Tuck even saw so unlucky Demon Hunters being controlled by the puppet silk lines.
These Demon Hunters and so local transcendants were all attacking the sheltered area protected by the Exorcism Altar.
With the foreign Demon Hunters relying on the Exorcism Altar, they were struggling severely to hold on.
Only a few monts had passed,
and already a vast number of puppet silk lines were swiftly entangling towards him.
Tuck took Barkin and imdiately departed.
The puppet silk line-covered valley town had [Barrier] attributes at its edges.
It would cause Transcendents to wander within, unable to leave, and eventually beco puppets under the silk lines.
But for Tuck, it was rely a matter of phase walking.
After several phase walks, Tuck and Barkin had already reached the riverbank.
Then, Tuck placed one hand on Barkin.
In an instant, Barkin too entered the Shadow State.
Tuck, carrying Barkin, drifted swiftly across the river’s surface.
“Taniru, your shadow technique is truly magical,” Barkin exclaid, feeling his Shadow State form and relieved to be out of danger.
As a Third Rank Alchemist, Barkin had been stuck at level 39 for a very long ti.
Advancing to Fourth Rank, becoming an Interdiate Level Alchemist, was extrely difficult.
After all, alchemists in their sequence didn’t assimilate potions and advancent materials as easily as those in combat sequences did.
Shadow State, as a fundantal form of Transcendent State, was barely considered a half Transcendent State.
This was one of his few chances to experience a Transcendent State.
“What a pity that we alchemists can forge these weapons but cannot wield them,” he said.
“Take this Shadow Ring Staff, for instance; the mont I dare to operate it, it would use the power of the shadow to kill .”
“Different transcendent sequences have different attributes and inclinations,” Tuck said lightly as he carried Barkin.
“Even if I learned how to forge transcendent weapons, if you asked
to forge one, I could only produce a lump of scrap iron for you.”
“Haha… that’s true indeed!”
Tuck moved quickly, and in a short ti he had crossed the river that was several kiloters wide.
After crossing the river and without the interference from Black River Valley, Tuck could sense more clearly the roaring of the St. Land Steam Tower in the Origin Energy Layer.
The steam ecology of St. Land was naturally maintaining its multi-layered ecological world.
At the sa ti, the roaring from these Origin Energy Layers was transmitting power at this very mont, suppressing and assaulting the Puppet Master’s advancent.
“Hurry up and leave, don’t look back!”
Once on the other side of the river, Tuck imdiately gave his commanding order with a solemn expression.
After a brief glance at Tuck, Barkin imdiately shouldered his heavy scroll of the Magical Alchemy Hut and gripped his steam-powered short-barrel shotgun “Wail,” speeding away along the path.
As he gradually moved away from Black River Valley and started to leave the danger behind, Barkin’s hanging heart began to settle.
When he looked back, however, he could no longer see the figure of the Steam Wizard.
All he could see was the heavy, fear-inducing darkness.
Taking a deep breath, Barkin tightened his grip on “Wail,” seriously scrutinizing the darkness.
“Damn it, don’t you die out there!”
…
Tuck returned on his path.
As casual as if strolling in a garden, he re-entered the riverside town.
Even as he moved forward, so puppet silk lines were still leaping from his fingertips.
In the midst of chaos, Tuck could not receive much information.
But he had gleaned so useful details.
That the puppet ecology was indeed being driven by the Steam Tower, undergoing control and transformation.
At the sa ti… the Puppet Master’s pace of transformation was quickening.
Although Tuck did not know how the other party managed to do it.
But as things continued like this,
it was very difficult to stop the Puppet Master’s advancent.
“We need to act faster!”
Tuck swiftly made his way toward area number 6 of the Sheep Circle Keeper, where the last hope of the small town upheld by the Demon Hunters was located.
…
Sheep Circle Keeper area number 6.
Andre leaned against the glass window, his expression extrely grim.
The Demon Hunters excelled at combating powers from the darkness.
The powers from Dark Sun were no different; they would be suppressed by them.
But this ti!
The Dark Sun Church’s Puppet Master Bishop was exceedingly cunning.
He used the Steam Tower to stimulate the most primitive puppet silk lines for a large-scale assault.
Though, these puppet silk lines would also carry so of the Dark Sun Bishop’s Dark Sun Attributes.
But.
Most of the power was the Puppet Master’s most primitive power.
And not sothing that would be greatly restrained by their Exorcism powers.
This resulted in the Demon Hunters being unable to play to their greatest Attribute.
Without their Demon Hunter Attributes, they did not hold much of an advantage over other Transcendents.
Out of over a hundred and thirty to forty Demon Hunters, in these hours of confrontation,
less than half remained.
Those who failed in the confrontation were either dragged into the darkness to disappear without a trace,
or torn apart on the spot by the puppet silk lines.
Thankfully!
The Exorcism Holy Light above the altar was powerful enough.
It was still helping them resist for a while longer.
But as those puppet silk lines grew stronger, and as the Puppet Master advanced,
their hopes for survival began to dim.
Massive and dense, the puppet silk lines now blanketed the line of sight to the point of resembling towering mountains.
As the waves of puppet silk lines converged and swept down,
two more unfortunate souls were dragged away by the flood of lines, screaming as they disappeared into the darkness.
Just when despair was beginning to brew within their hearts,
“I need your help.”
It was at this mont that Andre suddenly heard that familiar voice.
He turned and saw the Steam Wizard, Wizard Taniru, who wore grey wizard robes, a hood, and liked to hide in the Shadow State.
“Damn it! It’s I who needs your help, quickly deal with these bizarre silk tentacles.”
In a hoarse whisper, Andre struggled to spur his two Steam Cores, bringing the Exorcism Holy Light and its purification attributes to their peak, making it more effective against the pervasive eerie puppet silk lines.
“I can deal with these puppet silk lines, and even the Puppet Master behind them,”
Tuck said without any superfluous words, speaking quickly.
“We need the cooperation of all of you.”
Knowing Wizard Taniru well, Andre had no hesitation whatsoever.
“Things can’t get worse than they are now.”
“Tell … what do I need to do!”
