Chi Yan finally let her go. “Alright then, video call tonight.”

After the person finally left, Chu Yang breathed a sigh of relief.
Returning to her dorm room, Chu Yang imdiately washed up. Around 10:30pm Chi Yan’s video call ca through. Seeing that Jin Yang and the others also had their phone lights on, not yet asleep, Chu Yang felt at ease speaking. But she still intentionally kept her voice down a bit.

Chu Yang went to turn off the lights, and the dorm instantly beca quiet. But actually no one had fallen asleep yet. Everyone still had their phone lights on as Chu Yang texted Chi Yan. Although their call remained connected, only the sounds of tossing and turning or breathing could be heard faintly from each other.
Soon Chu Yang felt sleepy and her phone slipped out of her hand as she drifted off. On Chi Yan's side he was still typing ssages, but 10 minutes passed with no reply from Chu Yang. Through the earphones ca the soft sounds of breathing, and he knew she must have fallen asleep.
Listening to her breathe, Chi Yan soon fell asleep as well.
In the middle of the night, Chu Yang suddenly woke up. Wearing earbuds while sleeping made her ears too uncomfortable. She took them off! Throwing the earbuds aside, Chu Yang went back to sleep.
On Chi Yan's side, he remained deep in slumber, unaware of anything.
The next morning at 6am Chi Yan woke up with his phone still connected to the call. But he didn't hear Chu Yang's breathing sounds. He figured maybe she had woken up already.
Chi Yan sent Chu Yang a WeChat ssage, but got no reply for a long ti.
After 6:30 Chu Yang finally woke up, seeing her phone was still connected to the call but her earbuds were down by her feet...
At 6am Chi Yan had asked if she was awake yet. Chu Yang imdiately replied: “Just woke up, I hazily seem to have thrown away my earbuds last night... Keeping the call going overnight is no good at all, my ears hurt... Let's not do this again. If you want to talk there's plenty of ti during the day.”
Chi Yan: ......
In the end, the overnight call ga was over!
