When she saw that it was Mu You entering, her tense face finally blossod into a smile.

"You’re back... I knew it, it would be a success..."

Lin Xue’s voice sounded relieved, accompanied by a noticeable release of tension.

As Lin Xue spoke, she couldn’t wait to walk towards Mu You, but ended up stumbling like soone who had been bedridden for a long ti. After just two steps, she collapsed sideways as if she had expended all her strength.

Mu You rushed forward and caught her before she hit the ground.

Mu You was sowhat shocked. At this mont, Lin Xue’s body was soft as cotton, completely devoid of strength, incredibly weak. Only upon closer examination did he notice her deathly pale complexion, eyes bloodshot, with heavy dark circles—symptoms of chronic sleep deprivation.

Lin Xue, however, paid no attention to herself, instead smiling at Mu You with a look of contentnt in her eyes.

"Little Snow, what’s happened to you?" Mu You couldn’t help but ask.

"Little Snow?"

Lin Xue seed quite surprised by this nickna, and the smile on her face suddenly vanished, revealing a sad expression.

"So it’s true... you don’t rember anything... is that it?"

"Uh, I activated the archive device, so my mories..." Mu You felt a bit embarrassed.

"All of them? Our things, you really... can’t recall any of it?" Lin Xue looked at him expectantly.

"I..." Mu You desperately tried to recall even a bit of mory.

Unfortunately, there was none.

The power of the archive device was absolute—everything he experienced over the past month was wiped clean.

However, seeing Lin Xue’s expecting expression, for so reason, Mu You couldn’t stand to let her down. He even instinctively wanted to lie to comfort her.

But he quickly realized that lying was pointless, as Lin Xue could read minds, and his brief silence already revealed everything.

The hope in Lin Xue’s eyes gradually faded. Suddenly, she clutched her chest, a montary flash of intense pain crossing her face. Yet, not wanting Mu You to notice, she quickly changed her expression, forcing a weak smile: "It’s okay, it’s nothing... at least we’re both still alive, and that’s enough..."

Lin Xue tried hard to hide her pain behind a smile, but from this close, how could Mu You not notice.

At this point, sweat beaded on Lin Xue’s forehead, and her hand remained pressed against her chest, clearly enduring so kind of excruciating pain.

"Little Snow, are you hurt? What on earth happened in the Ti Cage? How did you..." Mu You had too many questions he wanted to ask.

The scenes in the Ti Cage were invisible even to the Fairy Queen and her kind, and now, having lost his mories, the only one who knew what happened was Lin Xue.

"We... went through a lot... we spent two thousand years together in the Dead Zone..." Lin Xue spoke haltingly, but with each sentence, the agony on her face deepened.

"Two thousand years?" Mu You found it strange.

They had only spent two thousand years together? But hadn’t he been inside for 3 billion years? Was the rest of the ti spent alone?

"The remaining ti... I... uh!"

Lin Xue seed to recall sothing unpleasant, letting out a muffled groan, unable to mask the pain any longer. Both hands clutched her chest as she broke into a sweat from the agony, struggling to breathe.

"Alright, I won’t ask. If you’re not feeling well, we don’t have to talk about it." Mu You was startled and quickly offered words of comfort.

For so reason, seeing Lin Xue in pain made his heart wrench, almost instinctively holding her tightly and gently stroking her cheek.

Only then did he realize that the gesture was too intimate, and he instinctively let go.

Lin Xue, however, fixated on him, grabbed his retreating hand, with a trace of surprise in her eyes.

"You rember, right?" Lin Xue looked at him with hope once again.

"I..." Mu You was also a bit at a loss. His reaction just now seed like a reflex, completely bypassing his mind.

This ti, Lin Xue didn’t feel disappointed but instead smiled, "You’ve forgotten, but your body rembers..."

Saying this, Lin Xue took his hand, placed it on her cheek, then tilted her head to lean into his hand, feeling the warmth from his palm.

"Mu You... I’m so tired... I just want to rest for a bit..." Lin Xue weakly said.

"Then sleep, don’t force yourself." Mu You quickly nodded, even he could clearly sense Lin Xue’s ntal exhaustion reaching its limit, just wishing she would rest soon.

"But I’m afraid to close my eyes... I’m scared..."

"Scared of what?"

"Scared that when I open my eyes again, you will be gone... more terrified that I might forget you once more..." Lin Xue’s eyelids began to droop, but she stubbornly gazed at him, almost pleadingly, "Promise , if I fall asleep, don’t leave ..."

Mu You, bewildered, still hurriedly nodded, promising, "Alright, don’t worry, I promise I won’t leave, I’ll stay right beside you!"

"Mm..."

Lin Xue finally seed at ease, showing a faint smile. Her eyelids could no longer hold up, closing as she fell into a deep sleep.

Mu You, confirming she was truly asleep, then picked her up and placed her on the bed in the study.

He initially intended to help her remove her shoes and socks, but noticed that even in her sleep, Lin Xue was clutching his hand tightly.
