The night was as cool as water, and the moonlight like fine sand scattered across the desert below.

In a forest of eroded rock, Red Sleeve was desperately fleeing, leaping over one eroded rock pillar after another, while trying to suppress her breathing to avoid revealing her position.

Behind her, the sound of sothing breaking through the air continuously echoed.

The Silver Needles, along with sutures, pierced through the rock forest like the embroidery needles of the Grim Reaper, easily puncturing all obstacles along the way.

And behind the line of Silver Needles, Lin Xue was pursuing her with a scythe in hand.

Red Sleeve felt miserable. From the mont the opponent changed her way of thinking, she knew the Mind Reading Technique was no longer working.

This woman, as a top student in dical sciences, had the nurical correspondence of human muscles and bones ingrained in her bones, requiring no reaction ti at all; she could effortlessly counterattack upon seeing the nurical attacks.

But it’s different for her; she was just an ordinary person, and the other actually looked down on her in this way, which was truly unreasonable.

Especially since the opponent also held the Seam God’s Divine Power; these Silver Needles and sutures were extrely troubleso. Once entangled, even her abilities found it hard to break free.

So after a few encounters with the opponent and realizing she couldn’t win, Red Sleeve decisively chose to flee.

"Whoosh!"

A piercing sound abruptly rang out above her head, and in the brief monts of her thoughts, the opponent had sohow rediscovered her position.

Red Sleeve hurriedly got up to flee once more.

The Silver Needles around her seed to have eyes, erging from all directions, coming to surround her.

"Damn it!"

Red Sleeve cursed under her breath, realizing she had no way out, and quickly dove into the sandstone below her feet.

Her Obstacle Transmission Ability was very useful in reconnaissance and ambush but not so much in escaping. When she assimilated into obstacles, her movent speed greatly slowed, and she couldn’t hide too deep because each transmission could only last for up to half a minute. If she didn’t erge by then, she would suffocate herself.

These two shortcomings combined ant it was often not as convenient as fleeing on the surface.

At this mont, she had no choice but to burrow underground to hide since during the transmission process, she was invincible.

However, not long after Red Sleeve burrowed underground, she suddenly felt the earth shake, followed by a sensation of being lifted into the air.

The massive stone she was in seed to have been forcibly lifted from the earth by so power.

But that wasn’t all. Several Silver Needles, along with sutures, pierced through the rock and spiraled outward, connecting to a large number of sandstones on the ground.

Then, chunks of rock began to be ’sutured’ to the sandstone she was on.

"Boom... boom..."

Listening to the continuous bombardnt sounds surrounding her, Red Sleeve was startled, quickly realizing the opponent’s intent: to suffocate her within this rock!

Clearly, this woman had seen through the weaknesses of her Obstacle Transmission Ability, which could only last for a short ti. If she didn’t erge by then, she would be permanently assimilated into the obstacle.

Realizing this, Red Sleeve hurriedly moved to escape the massive rock, yet every ti she left one, another had already been sutured into place, forcing her to continually traverse the sandstones without seeing an end.

The transmission ti ticked by with every second, and Red Sleeve grew increasingly anxious, mobilizing all her energy, desperately inching outward.

Fortunately, as more and more stones were sutured, increasing the surface area, the rate at which the opponent could fill the stones began to lag behind her escape speed.

Finally, just before the transmission’s ti limit was reached, Red Sleeve erged from the sandstone, inhaling fresh air anew.

However, before she could feel any joy, a large web woven from sutures enveloped her face, leaving Red Sleeve no chance to evade, trapping her tightly.

The sandstone sutured into a massive sphere crashed to the ground.

Lin Xue erged from the dust and smoke. With a slight tug on the sutures extending from her right hand’s fingers, the web around Red Sleeve quickly tightened. Red Sleeve groaned, her entire body bound into a cocoon by the Spider Web-like sutures, hanging mid-air, utterly immobilized.

"As expected, your obstacle traversal can only assimilate tangible objects and cannot assimilate the energy-ford sutures," Lin Xue comnted as she looked at Red Sleeve.

Red Sleeve felt a bit bitter at her words.

This woman was simply too clever...

Although she was the one with the Mind Reading Technique, the opponent seed to have sharp eyes like the Buddhist Monkey King, effortlessly identifying and countering her weaknesses one by one.

"Now then, tell everything you know," Lin Xue stepped forward, confiscating Red Sleeve’s Death Scythe Chain, and placed the scythe’s sharp blade against her neck.

Red Sleeve was unable to break free, and in Lin Xue’s mind, she had already thought up dozens of contingencies should Red Sleeve manage to escape.

The complexity of these thoughts made Red Sleeve’s scalp tingle. She suddenly wanted to retract her previous words: this woman’s thoughts were truly terrifying. In comparison, she would rather face Mu You in a straightforward battle, at least she would die knowing why...

"I don’t know the specifics, I only know this was his ’B Plan’..." Red Sleeve swallowed hard and decided to obediently speak.

"What do you an?" Lin Xue frowned.

"Before the operation, he prepared two plans. The first was the one I previously told you about, seizing control of the World-Creating Mountain and then resurrecting the first Fool. And if this plan encounters unexpected obstacles and can’t be realized, he would activate the backup plan, using a sort of artifact to go back to the past. However, doing so carries so unknown risks, which is why it’s designated as a backup..."
