Six Valkyrie corpses were piled up at the collapsed hotel entrance.

So had their arms hacked off, while others were pierced through the chest and abdon.

The blood gathered on the cold yellow mud, pooling into a large Blood Pool.

It flowed along the muddy tracks left by wooden carts to various parts of the small town.

Only one Valkyrie remained, clutching her broken arm, leaning against a tree and gasping for breath.

The changeling demon in front of her had just transford into a dium-sized man, dressed in black, form-fitting clothes, now tidying his cuffs in front of her.

Chen Ke had just asked this Valkyrie where they had co from.

Now, everything beca clear.

The Heart of Asgard, located at the palace atop the mountains, had its position revealed.

The wind picked up, swirling the dead leaves around, as Xu Jing gently floated down next to Chen Ke. She looked at the Valkyrie, then at Chen Ke, hoping he had found the answer.

The Valkyrie recognized the thunder’s power, her eyes grew dim, fearing that Lord Srud had fallen at the hands of the two before her.

Chen Ke nodded, and Xu Jing raised her hand, striking the Valkyrie dead with lightning, allowing her to scream in agony and curl into a ball in the mud.

"No one else is coming, they were the only ones," Xu Jing said.

"Hmph... underestimated," Chen Ke buttoned his cuffs and adjusted his tie.

"Diana is not very happy," Xu Jing said at this ti.

"I understand her, she just needs so ti to adapt," Chen Ke shook his head.

"Alright, but we have another problem," Xu Jing continued.

"What problem?" Chen Ke asked, puzzled.

"Do you plan to attack Freyja’s palace with just the four of us?" Xu Jing asked.

At that mont, a pink bird landed on a branch, chirping.

"Stop laughing, Sleery," Xu Jing looked up at the little bird, mocking.

"Maybe it’s just the three of us. I saw Diana in a daze by the lake just now," Sleery said.

"If we can find Lucina, we might have a better chance," Xu Jing said.

"We have lost her," Sleery reiterated.

"Not yet, unless you show a body," Chen Ke shook his head.

Xu Jing glanced at Sleery with a hint of reproach in her eyes, Sleery said nothing, fluttering her wings, hopping to another branch, and began grooming the feathers beneath them.

"We will find her. If we get that gemstone, we should be able to see where she is through the Witch Sight," Xu Jing consoled, although with no basis.

"If Odin truly is the King of the Nine Realms, even if the God Heart Shard cannot help locate Lucina, his treasure vault should have other things that can be useful," Chen Ke said, looking at the bird Sleery had transford into.

"So... back to the question earlier. Are we really going to Freyja’s palace with just four of us?"

At this point, Sleery landed on the ground, transforming into her human form.

"We have the Illusion Creation Witch," Chen Ke said.

Sleery smiled, walking to Chen Ke’s side, "Then make a wish."

...

Sleery conjured an SUV, and the four of them drove towards the Heart of Asgard, the palace where Odin and his subjects resided. At this mont, only Freyja and Tyr remained in the Asgardian royal family.

Chen Ke hadn’t done much howork on Norse mythology, nor did he care.

After all, even Thor himself wasn’t truly a deity, the others might be weaker.

There’s no difference between Demon Gods and Clans, perhaps their power is stronger, but still limited. To Chen Ke, the difference between Thor and Corrigan was rely whether they retained their sanity.

Driving along, crossing straits and plains, the majestic beauty of Asgard unfolded. From a distance, Chen Ke could see the specks of lights from the grand palatial structures on the white peaks, glowing resplendently under the aurora.

As they approached the mountain’s base, a green Magic Barrier suddenly expanded from the palace as the center. Xu Jing pulled the handbrake, stopping the car near the barrier, the wheels skidding out four long trails in the mud.

The four got out, looking at the mountaintop, where the torch-tower-like structure’s top, green flas were flickering.

Chen Ke approached the barrier; it was a layer of flowing Magic Protection Shield. He reached out to touch it, as firm as rock, rippling with wave patterns on its surface.

"They are ready," Chen Ke turned back, looking at the three witches.

Along the slopes of the mountain, Asgardian warriors in silver armor were densely packed, marching down, while within the barrier on the plain, so cavalry teams galloped about.

Far at the palace’s rooftop, Freyja and Tyr, dressed in battle armor, were also watching the four below.

The torch tower was releasing Magic Power, the flas extending out in green ripples, the source of the protection shield.

"The Valkyries have not returned, they failed," Freyja was sowhat apprehensive.

"No word from Thor yet?" Tyr asked.

Freyja, looking a bit haggard, glanced at Tyr, feeling miserable, the Sword of Victory hanging at her waist offered little confidence.

"What happened?" Tyr noticed sothing was off.

"A spy said he saw among those four, a woman with an ability similar to Srud, and a man who could stop ti," Freyja said gravely.

Tyr also fell into silence.

He began to seriously consider, if Thor and Srud truly were dead...

"We can stop them," Tyr said.

"For now, yes. But rely stopping them isn’t enough. You and I both lack Divine Power..." Freyja worried.

"Don’t speak..." Tyr placed his hand on Freyja’s lips.

They were neither deities nor Demon Gods.

Just ordinary Spiritual Ability Users.

Years ago, Odin sailed his longship, raiding along the coastline. Thor, Freyja, and Tyr were just ordinary pirates aboard the ship.

This was the truth.

When they first encountered Gungnir and Mjölnir, only Odin dared to pick them up.

And later, it was Thor.

Until today, Freyja and Tyr, aside from finding ways to learn using Spiritual Energy, never tried to touch those mysterious things again.

They weren’t born superior, just lucky to have boarded Odin’s ship.

"Do you have a way to open this barrier?" Sleery asked Chen Ke.

Chen Ke’s pendant suddenly started to shake, and it conveyed a ssage to him.

"Lighthouse."

Chen Ke took off the pendant, which transford into a silver hamr in his hand.

"This used to be your ho, perhaps you know what to do," Chen Ke said.

"Trial period over," the hamr conveyed.

"Help take down the barrier, and you’re permanent," Chen Ke said again.

Having said that, he tossed the hamr skyward, and Mjölnir flew straight towards the clouds, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

In the next second, thunder rumbled across the sky. In an instant, the hamr instantly teleported to the mountaintop.

With a crack, a bolt of lightning struck the torch tower, the hamr crashed down with a roar, piercing through the green Magic Flas that ford the protection shield, reducing the tower to rubble. Without the support of the green flas, the Magic Protection Shield began to dissipate visibly.

The palace forces stirred with commotion, Freyja and Tyr hurried down from the rooftop, galloping towards the torch tower’s direction.

When they arrived at the scene, the soldiers were defending with shields, surrounding the torch tower’s ruins in formation. They pushed their way through the crowd to reach the rubble, and a familiar silver hamr ca into view.
