Chapter 807: Chapter 806: Burned to Ashes
“You can speak my language, are you Surter?” Lucina asked.
She looked up at the enormous Fire Giant, the heat waves emanating from him reminded her of Diana. For an ordinary person, the temperature was enough to peel off several layers of skin.
“You are speaking a na you have no right to utter. You sneaked into my river and erged alive; you are certainly not from Asgard.” Surter’s voice was slow, deep, and authoritative.
“You’re right, I’m not from their side.” Lucina admitted.
“That has nothing to do with . This is my realm; no one is allowed to enter, and no one can leave!” Surter said, stepping into the lava river. The red lava splashed out, falling into the Gray Forest and dissolving many dead woods.
Lucina dodged slightly, only to see Surter’s foot coming down. She used all her strength, with the power of her six Energy Arms, to withstand his huge foot.
With a loud bang, Lucina’s legs plunged straight into the mud, reaching knee-deep. The scorching lava on Surter’s foot dripped onto her back, burning a large bloody hole, but soon, her Magic Power healed the wound.
“Ughh…” Lucina gritted her teeth in pain, pursed her lips, and tried to push the giant’s foot back.
“Hmm… your strength is great, even greater than Thor’s.” Surter remarked.
He slightly lifted his foot and then stomped down forcefully again, creating a circular crack pattern on the ground.
Lucina gritted her teeth, her gums bleeding. She felt the ground beneath her sink by a few centiters, and the muscles of her arms ached severely.
She drew the power of Magic to its limit. Her thighs tensed, she roared, and all eight arms pushed upwards. Gradually, Surter felt his foot being lifted by a force.
He staggered, moving his foot off Lucina and stepping into the Gray Forest.
Lucina jumped up, her six large arms converging into one, wrapping around her right hand, and punched Surter’s forehead. There was a loud “thud,” and Surter staggered back several steps.
Surter extended his hand, catching the falling Lucina in his grasp. Her six Energy Arms propped his five fingers apart, and Lucina stood in his palm, maintaining the energy transfer.
The two species studied each other up close. Surter was very curious about Lucina; he brought his hand to his face, observing her with his fiery eyes up and down.
“We don’t have to fight…” Lucina said, panting, her arms stretching outwards. The six arms on her back were wrestling with Surter’s fingers, which were bigger than a building.
“Give one reason, little witch.” Surter demanded.
“I can see you have a hatred for Asgard.” Lucina stated.
“That’s none of your business.” Surter scoffed. He exerted force with his fingers, turning his entire hand into a fist.
Lucina’s Energy Arms dissipated. She relied solely on her two arms to hold open so space, hearing the sound of ribs and shoulders cracking, forcing a mouthful of blood up.
Then, she extended her Energy Arms again, straining to pry open Surter’s fist.
“Listen to ! We… can actually work together.” Lucina shouted.
“You are not worthy of working with . You are as weak as an ant, I could crush you with a pinch.” Surter said.
“Then what was that just now?! You already tried once!” Lucina exclaid angrily.
Surter tightened his fist again, and Lucina scread painfully. But quickly, she pried open Surter’s fist once more, blood hanging from her jaw and chest, her arms with frightening crevices where bones had fractured, cutting through the muscle.
The wounds healed again. She spat out bloody foam and yelled, “No matter how many tis, it’s all the sa. I can keep this up all day!”
“You’re very resilient; it reminds of Thor… Thor… ah, my lifelong enemy…” Surter mused.
“Are you afraid of that chubby guy?” Lucina mocked.
Surter looked displeased, bringing his palm closer to his nose, staring at Lucina.
“I have never been afraid of him.” Surter declared.
“You hate Asgard so much, why not just take your little rock buddies and burn Asgard, instead of hiding at ho watching the gladiators?” Lucina taunted.
“Do not question Surter’s courage, little witch. Thor is not my match.” Surter replied angrily.
“Oh! Doesn’t look like it to ! He’s been doing quite a lot these past millennia, but I’ve never seen you in my world. No one rembers you, Surter; Thor controls the Midgard order, and you’re just a story.” Lucina laughed.
“Loki stole my weapon. Without Revanthin, I cannot fight Mjolnir. None of them are my match, and even Odin knows, so they have resorted to petty tricks!” Surter declared.
“Where… is Loki?” Lucina inquired.
“I am under no obligation to answer you. You should worry more about your own life than think about your witch sister.” Surter said.
“We are not sisters, Surter; we can fight side by side!” Lucina exclaid.
“You are not qualified!!!! Die now!!” Surter bellowed, flas igniting in his hands, scorching Lucina, and he clenched his fist tightly.
“My partner, killed Thor!!! Now, he is the owner of Mjolnir!” Lucina shouted, and as soon as she spoke, she was enveloped in Surter’s fist, feeling as if she were trapped in a 1000-degree high-pressure chamber.
Surter looked at his fist, hesitated for a mont, then slowly opened his palm.
Lucina lay in his palm, every bone in her body shattered, her skin and muscles severely burnt, yet still alive. Green Magic Power patterns shimred on her body, and her injuries quickly healed visibly.
She climbed to her feet, looking at Surter.
“What you say is true? But… why?” Surter asked.
“Thor overturned the order of Midgard; he provoked those he shouldn’t have, and Asgard has sothing we want.” Lucina explained.
“Hmm… Asgard does not need a new king; your partner will never obtain it.” Surter declared.
“We don’t want it, Surter… we only want sothing Odin has hidden. That’s all, you can do whatever you want with Asgard.” Lucina stated.
“I will burn it to the ground.” Surter decided.
“As you wish.” Lucina replied.
“Hmm… if you dare lie to …” Surter still harbored so doubts.
“I’m right here with you, Surter. If Thor is still alive, I will let you do as you please.” Lucina promised.
Surter looked at Lucina in his palm, pondered for a mont, then placed her on his shoulder.
“Big guy, what do you plan to do now?” Lucina asked, grabbing onto the ridges on Surter’s neck, standing on his shoulder.
“Take you to find Loki. She knows where my sword is hidden. She refuses to see , but she should et you.” Surter said.
“Then it’s settled, big guy. Once we find your precious sword, we’ll burn Asgard to ashes!” Lucina laughed.
