Chapter 783: Chapter 782: Logic

The monster outside the wall clenched Xu Jing and dragged her out of the building, taking with it a large swath of broken glass and stone. Xu Jing was held in its grip like a Barbie doll in the hands of a child.

It might have realized there was another person inside the building, as the monster lowered its head to look, locking three eyes with Chen Ke. Yes, it had just one large purple eyeball, like a gigantic searchlight. Chen Ke stared into its eye and felt as if his soul were about to be sucked out.

The monster let out a shriek, and its other arm swept toward the 16th floor. A thin but sturdy white limb reached into the building, swinging toward Chen Ke, demolishing office desks, computers, and load-bearing columns along its path into dust and debris.

Chen Ke imdiately activated his Ti Position, and it was clear that this creature too was beyond ti. His action wasn’t to try to control the monster but to trap it.

The next second, the whole of the 16th floor and its surroundings were halted in ti, becoming invulnerable within the ti stop zone. The monster sensed this phenonon and tried to withdraw its hand, but its entire arm was stuck in the building.

Xu Jing was still in the grip of the monster’s other hand, which squeezed her tighter and tighter. She tried to electrocute the monster to make it let go, but it was futile; it seed that the creature was not afraid of the damage from lightning.

Chen Ke pulled out the Gatling and, from the edge of the collapse, opened fire on the monster’s huge head. Bullets flew, half of them reaching the sky, with so hitting the giant eye of the beast.

Not a mark was left on the surface of the monster’s eye from the bullets. Divine Blood Bullets couldn’t hurt it. It was different from those red-blooded superhumans.

The monster wasn’t fearful of Chen Ke’s bullets, but now it got angry. It kicked down the floors beneath the 16th floor. The levels that had been stopped by ti collapsed as the support underneath was removed, falling directly.

This was the second disintegration of the Lescott Building today.

Chen Ke sat on the floor, holding onto the edge. In one second, he stopped the ti freeze and once more opened his Ti Position. The collapsing building remained suspended in mid-air; the whirling dust, falling glass shards, furniture, and so on, all hung frozen, trapping one of the monster’s hands solidly within.

Chen Ke jumped downward, stepping on the suspended dust and glass shards as if treading on steps in the air, running in the direction of the monster.

Now he could see the monster’s entire form. It was a towering, slim demon with gray skin and a large purple eye, its body marked with layers of lines as if it could be peeled layer by layer. It was truly disgusting.

Chen Ke’s right hand condensed Spiritual Power, and he poured a year’s worth of life into it, ready to hit it with a chilling blow. Right at that mont, the beast’s giant eye turned to look at Chen Ke, and a pale purple light shot from the eyeball.

The light hit Chen Ke, and he felt nothing. Suddenly, he felt a weight under his feet, and the glass shards and dust, along with the collapse of the building, began to plumt once more.

“This thing… undid the ti stop?!” Chen Ke was shocked. He began to free-fall, and at the sa ti, he dropped his Spiritual Power Crystal Gun upward.

A massive surge of Spiritual Energy exploded above, shattering the high-rise. Those dozen or so floors were blasted into fragnts that scattered in all directions. Chen Ke only saw a blur of red and yellow engulfing everything.

“Chen Ke!”

A chanical hand grasped Chen Ke and pulled him upward at a trendous speed.

A towering, iron-gray machine over two ters tall grabbed Chen Ke by the arm and lifted him into the air. This armor was more compact than any he had seen before, yet still quite large, with a number embossed on the arm: MK-50.

Underneath Chen Ke was a cloud of dust; the collapsed building had destroyed nearby streets and smaller buildings. But the monster was still standing there.

“Xu Jing is still in its grasp,” Chen Ke said.

“I know. I’m coming up from the right,” Li Moyang’s voice ca from the helt’s speaker, accompanied by a chanical texture.

“Then let’s do it.” Chen Ke’s eyes reddened, and his muscles began to swell.

Li Moyang released him, and Chen Ke fell toward the monster’s head, transforming into a horned demon in mid-air, and punched the eye of the beast, emitting a strange loud noise.

He felt his hand didn’t make contact with the beast itself but rather hit an invisible barrier.

What in the world was this monster…? Chen Ke wanted to see clearly, but he couldn’t discern anything; his confusion mounted, with no information forthcoming.

Xu Jing, squeezed by the monster’s hand, was pressed by its thumb against her stomach, expelling stomach fluids. The monster struggled, its strength in its grip neither lessening nor relenting. Li Moyang flew to the side of the beast, his hands opened, and there were two orange Holy Diamonds embedded in the palms…

Li Moyang fired two orange energy beams, attempting to sever the monster’s hand but encountered the sa problem as Chen Ke.

Around the monster resided so kind of energy shield; all attacks were unable to truly reach its real body.

Use… use HCP0001… ugh…” Xu Jing called out strenuously.

Chen Ke wanted to use it, but the thing hadn’t been online since it was borrowed by sothing white and fired a shot.

“No choice… we need stronger power!” Li Moyang echoed.

Chen Ke saw the monster ready to grab him with its other hand; he leapt fiercely, jumping to the rooftop tens of ters away, crashing through the ground and into the level below.

The surrounding neighborhood suffered heavy casualties, and many residents hid in their hos, afraid to co out. Surprisingly, there was not even one person from the Administration Bureau on the street, nor could any military or County Police be seen.

The area was abandoned, and unless Li Moyang fell, they would not stop, even if such a dangerous creature was released onto the streets, the United Federation remained unresponsive.

Li Moyang flew away from the monster, bombarding it with energy rays from different angles, all to no effect.

At that ti, Diana and Lucina broke through the encirclent and rushed over to support, but behind them, the superheroes who had been knocked down were slowly self-healing.

“There’s a way, I’ve thought of sothing…” Chen Ke mumbled to himself.

Lucina leapt into the air, her six green Energy Arms clenched into fists, ready for a big hit, but just as she jumped up, she was slapped away by the monster, crashing into a nearby building and leaving a large hole.

Diana, seizing the mont, flew quickly to the hand holding Xu Jing, trying to lt the monster’s grasp.

“It’s useless…” Xu Jing shook her head.

Just then, a colossal white figure rose from the dust, its lower half indistinct, towering even above the monster.

The white entity held the monster’s head with both hands, its six eyes glaring at it intently, while Chen Ke stood on the white entity’s shoulder.

“This is… a kind of logic,” the white entity conveyed a ssage to Chen Ke.

“Logic…” Chen Ke didn’t understand.

The white entity attempted to peel open the monster’s head; its purple eyes rolled around, emitting a faint purple glow, flickering with apparent fear.

“Awaken an old friend,” the white entity ssaged again.

Chen Ke felt a void under him as the Black Gun appeared in the white entity’s hand.

“It hasn’t always been…” Chen Ke clutched his chest.

“It’s not pleased,” the white entity holding the Black Gun, positioning it against the monster’s eye, ready to shoot.

“Wait! Wait! Don’t shoot towards the ground!” Chen Ke hastily intervened.

The power of the Black Gun in the white entity’s hand was too great, a shot like that could punch through Earth itself.

The white entity hoisted the monster singlehandedly into the air, pointed the gun upwards while the monster released Xu Jing, grasping the white entity’s arms tightly with its hands, its large purple eyes flashing, seemingly pleading for rcy, looking almost endearing in that light.

“One last ti, then it goes back to its owner,” the white entity seed to be communicating with the Black Gun.

A terrifying sound of energy exploding resonated nearby, thick red energy pulses swept through the sky, and despite the sky remaining a deep red, the deeper column of light from the Black Gun could be seen.

The resurrected superheroes, seeing this, also retreated, marking the attack operation a failure.

The monster’s head instantly beca nothingness, its body went limp and peeled away, turning into a black ash. The gun vanished from the white entity’s hand, returning into Chen Ke’s body, and then its figure gradually faded into translucency.

Chen Ke had no ti for goodbyes; he found himself falling downwards.

But Li Moyang caught him again, and at the sa ti, Diana landed on the ground holding Xu Jing.

On the ground, where the dead monster once lay, there was a swirl of light. Chen Ke stepped forward, reached in, and pulled out a sword-shaped Holy Relic.
