Chapter 690: Chapter 689: Sprint

Capital City Haneda International Airport was now in lockdown, and the terminal was filled with people. The Self-Defense Forces and the Administration Bureau were maintaining order, even though the invisible monsters had already appeared. However, there were too many monsters outside, preventing the passengers from being moved.

So international passengers were preparing to catch overnight flights, while others had just flown in from other countries. They found themselves locked in the airport due to the disturbance in Capital City.

On the tarmac, several teams of the Self-Defense Forces were clearing the area, with several Boeing airplanes surrounded by heaps of Monster Corpses. At that mont, a convoy of blue trucks drove in through an external lane, drawing the attention of the Self-Defense Forces.

“Hey! How did that convoy get in?” soone questioned.

At this point, all mbers of the Self-Defense Forces and the Administration Bureau received instructions through their radios.

“Let them through, let them take off.”

Although the mbers were skeptical, the orders from above were clear, and they could only watch as the convoy drove past. The previously inactive runway lit up, and a large black transport plane slowly taxied down the runway.

The convoy stopped beside the runway, and Olivia and Srud jumped out of the train car. Around them, black sedans and SUVs released bodyguards clad in black suits and sunglasses, ard with HK416s. Many were professionals, their hands empty but their eyes gleaming with the sa intensity.

The airplane’s belly opened its cargo door, and several fully ard crew mbers hurried down, pointing their AK74s outside the cabin, paying no regard to the Sunrise Administration or the Self-Defense Forces.

In the distant terminal, many passengers watched the scene, confused, so thinking it was so sort of military operation by the Sunrise National Security.

“Get our little beauty loaded into the plane,” Olivia ordered. She opened one side of the cargo truck’s container, and with a loud bang, the door fell to the ground, forming a ramp.

Her subordinates busied themselves while Sleery laid inside a large glass container, watching the many people installing protective traction chanisms on the container’s tal fra. She wrapped her arms around herself, curled up in the middle, and shyly buried her face in her arm.

The glass container acted as a kind of sealed chamber, blocking all Spiritual Energy and disabling even her Witch powers. Being gawked at while stripped was truly shaful.

If she had foreseen this situation, she wouldn’t have conjured clothes with Magic to wear.

“We’re about to head back to Opportunity City, little beauty. Let have a good look at how you managed to kill Fujiwara Makoto,” Olivia tapped on the glass container and laughed at Sleery inside.

Sleery ignored her. She was sowhat afraid of this woman—she was muscular, and Lucina was far more amiable.

“Better move quickly,” Srud warned on the side.

“Haven’t you already dealt with the nuisance?” Olivia said.

“Bugs usually co in swarms, not just one,” Srud replied.

“You’re too cautious. We’re Witches, that kind of trash can’t handle us,” Olivia confidently stated.

“Then why don’t you tell how you let Li Moyang slip through your fingers?” Srud taunted.

Olivia was at a loss for words. She scornfully glanced at Srud and turned back to continue overseeing the transfer. She had utterly given up on getting along with that bitch.

“When I beco Thor’s wife…” Olivia thought to herself, by then, she would be the Heavenly Queen of the Nine Realms, the Valkyrie King of Valhalla, and she would have plenty of chances and ways to tornt that bitch.

The trailer was hauling the glass container into the cargo hold, and the surrounding team of bodyguards arranged the vehicles behind them, waiting to move. The operation was progressing neatly.

anwhile, on the city street leading to the airport, a sapphire-blue sedan’s engine died.

“It must have been struck by lightning earlier, burning out the ECU…” Shen Yun lifted the hood to examine the car, while Chen Ke stood by. With several kiloters still to go to Haneda International Airport, they wouldn’t be able to keep up on foot.

“The car’s computer is broken; can it still start?” Chen Ke asked.

“No, there would be a fuel supply problem, and it wouldn’t run fast,” Shen Yun shook his head.

This was bad news, and Chen Ke was getting anxious. If they didn’t keep up now and let them return to Opportunity City, it would beco very difficult to locate them. Moreover, Chen Ke wasn’t sure he could draw out the company’s people like how he rescued Diana.

After all, the company and Yasla were organizations of completely different scales. Luring the company would only have that muscle-bound bitch coming to kill them, making things worse.

Just as they were at a loss, car engines roared in the distance, and a black business sedan turned from far down the road.

“Hey… that’s our company’s car,” Shen Yun imdiately recognized.

The car stopped in front of them, and two people got out—it was Wang Qian and Tong Lang.

“We finally caught up! Mr. Chen,” Wang Qian had changed into trousers.

“Mr. Tong, why did you bring Miss Wang here again? It’s very dangerous,” Shen Yun scolded.

“Sorry… Miss Wang insisted on coming…” Tong Lang, a burly figure, cowered like a fool under Shen Yun’s scolding.

“How did you find us?” Chen Ke asked.

“Now is not the ti to discuss this. Miss Sleery is still waiting for you, let’s get going, Mr. Chen!” Wang Qian clenched her fist.

“No no, you can’t go. I can drive there myself,” Chen Ke shook his hand.

“You’ll have to free up your hands for sothing, right?” Wang Qian said on the side.

Chen Ke glanced at them.

“Get in the car, ti waits for no one,” Wang Qian urged.

“Then let’s all go together, the car can fit four people.” Chen Ke had no ti to argue.

“Mr. Chen, go do your thing. Tong Lang and I will protect Miss Wang,” Shen Yun said, pulling his pistol out of his lapel.

The four of them got in the car, circled the scrapped royal blue sedan, and continued racing toward the airport.

“Quick, quick! Just leave the car that can’t fit at the airport. Forget about it,” Olivia urged. They had spent over 30 minutes loading, which was more than they had anticipated.

Srud watched his subordinates bustling about and was starting to get impatient.

“Ditch all the sedans and then we’ll take off,” Olivia directed near the cargo hold, as cars that couldn’t fit were backed out.

After a few minutes of hassle, a circle of black cars was left on the ground. Srud and Olivia stood at the rear cargo door, and ard guards began to head into the plane. At that mont, a black sedan broke through the Administration Bureau’s barriers and drove onto the airport runway.

“What is that?” Srud asked.

“A bug,” Olivia replied.

“Quite persistent,” Srud snorted.

The bodyguards raised their HK416 rifles and strafed the vehicle; bullets pinged off the windshield and hood.

“Be careful, they might have soone who can throw lightning bolts,” Chen Ke warned as he opened the car door, grabbed the roof, and climbed up.

“Miss Wang, duck down… don’t get hit by a stray bullet,” Shen Yun said hurriedly, rolling down the window and shooting her pistol toward the guards behind the car formation.

“Take off, take off,” Srud commanded.

The large military transport plane began to slowly accelerate, gliding towards the end of the runway.

Chen Ke had already climbed onto the roof of the car. Facing the wind, he threw a Spiritual Power Crystal Gun toward the black sedan formation. Three cars tumbled out, clearing the runway, and Wang Qian drove the car towards the aircraft.

Chen Ke was wrapped in Ascension Armor. He sat on the windshield, bullets pinging off him as he stepped on the hood, causing a dent.

“Speed up!” he called to Wang Qian.

The car was already going 180, it couldn’t go any faster.

The wheels of the military plane began to lift off the ground, and the door at the rear of the plane started to slowly close. Olivia stood at the door, watching the person seated on the car roof, curious about what he was planning to do.

Chen Ke also spotted Olivia and Srud inside the plane. He didn’t recognize the blonde woman, but he knew the lightning must have co from her. What could they use to protect themselves against her lightning?

Chen Ke had a sudden idea. He knew what he had to do, but if he didn’t deal with the lightning, he might be struck down halfway by a bolt.

Chen Ke took out a rocket launcher and aid at Olivia, ready to hit her with sothing big.

“Here goes,” Chen Ke fired the rocket.

Whoosh!

The rocket flew out, just four ters from the plane, when a bolt of lightning struck.

“Boom!!!” Blood mist sprayed, and the rocket was intercepted by the blonde woman’s lightning.

But after the blood mist cleared, Chen Ke had already leaped into the air.

“Mr. Chen! Go for it!!!” Wang Qian yelled from inside the car.

Chen Ke, continuing with the car’s montum, leaped out two ters, seeing the blonde woman’s eyes flash with a blue glow. The plane’s door was half-closed when a blue bolt of lightning struck down, and thunder rolled through the sky.

In that instant, he activated the sprint skill in his leg armor.

“Bet you didn’t see this coming!!!” Chen Ke’s body shot forward more than six ters in mid-air, the lightning bolt landing just half a ter behind him, striking the car hood.

Wang Qian slamd on the brakes; the black sedan drastically slowed down on the runway, skidding sideways and spinning several dozen ters before stopping. They watched the military transport aircraft slowly ascend, flying into the dark moonlit night.
