Boloz entered Ivy’s house and, as usual, took care of her daily needs before returning to his own room.

The lights in the window went out, and a few Thief Gang mbers ard with hand-crossbows were patrolling the rooftops, but they failed to notice Chen Ke, who walked perfectly through the shadows, almost as an extension of them.

His pupils turned blue, and through the walls, he saw Boloz slowly lie down in his room on the first floor.

Going to sleep?

Chen Ke leaned against a tree and waited, pondering a trip to Opportunity City to grab so clean bandages and suturing thread for Lucina.

He waited again under the tree, estimating it was around 2 a.m. when the Thief Gang’s rooftop patrol had gone ho. Just as Chen Ke thought he might return tonight without achieving anything, Boloz got up.

Boloz got ready, then opened the door, looked left and right, and tiptoed outside. This ti, she left without a lantern.

"Right on schedule, where are you heading?" Chen Ke muttered to himself.

As a mber of the Thief Gang, Boloz surely knew when the night thieves on the roof would end their shift. Taking a two-hour nap, she cleverly tid it so it wouldn’t impact her energy the next day.

Chen Ke followed from a distance as she left the streets controlled by the Thief Gang. Boloz walked leisurely along the banks of the Taist River, occasionally stopping and looking back.

Boloz avoided the patrol routes of the law enforcent team, showing ease and familiarity with the path, clearly not her first ti sneaking out.

After half an hour, Boloz arrived at a small white church in the heart of the downtown area. The church wasn’t big, with King College directly across the street on a diagonal. Further away, one could see the face of the Big Ben.

Boloz approached the door and knocked softly three tis. A small window in the door clicked open, and a crisp, dry voice ca from inside.

"Password."

Boloz looked cautiously around, and Chen Ke drew his figure back into the corner of the wall.

"Fear the Blood of the Ancient God," Boloz whispered softly.

The wooden door creaked open slightly, and Boloz hurriedly slipped inside. The person inside gently closed the door as if nothing had happened.

Chen Ke observed secretly from behind the wall. He had just heard Boloz mutter "Fear the Blood of the Ancient God," which must be the password to enter.

However, what was strange is that, under his Spiritual Vision, there was no one inside the door. So who had opened it for Boloz?

Even if he reported the incident now, it would only scare off the quarry. Boloz had entered and wouldn’t co out for so ti, so Chen Ke noted the church’s location and turned back.

On the way, seeing no one around, Chen Ke took out the Blasphemous Dagger, broke the lock on a café nearby, and teleported instantly back to the small apartnt provided by the Thief Gang.

As soon as he erged, he saw Parker and Diana sitting on the sofa, apparently discussing sothing. The room was pitch-black; they hadn’t turned on any lights and were whispering.

Seeing soone enter, Diana’s index finger ignited a small ball of Fla, extending it towards Chen Ke’s direction. Beneath the faint orange glow, Chen Ke’s face looked like a ghost floating in mid-air.

"Chen Ke, we need to talk to you about sothing." Parker began.

"I think I know what you want to say," Chen Ke replied.

Diana glanced upstairs and snuffed out the fla with a wave of her hand.

"Go ahead, tell what you’ve found out," Chen Ke drew a chair and sat across the sofa. His eyes adjusted to the dark, and through the faint moonlight streaming through the curtains, he could now make out their faces slightly.

"Diana thinks there’s sothing wrong with Boloz," Parker said.

"Lucina looked very unusual this morning. I was there when she was injured, and I’ve seen her wounds. We’ve treated her before, and it shouldn’t still be hurting her that much after all this ti. Moreover, that Boloz, she’s very interested in your whereabouts, and her expressions when she speaks are odd. My intuition tells sothing’s not right with her and Lucina, and it’s troubling," Diana analyzed.

"Your intuition is right, soone is targeting Lucina," Chen Ke said.

"What’s actually happening? We’ve only been here for one day," Parker said, perplexed.

Chen Ke shared what he had seen and heard tonight with them.

"What do we do now? Move away from here?" Parker asked.

"No, no... Ivy’s Thief Gang likely has nothing to do with this. All the suspicious elents point to Boloz. There’s a small church half an hour’s walk from here where passwords are required for nightti entry. Boloz isn’t a Spiritual Ability User nor is she mutated, but she has a small hourglass. From what I observed, it’s used to manipulate people’s emotions. I suspect Boloz is a mber of so underground sect, and this being the 19th century, there are plenty of people involved in occult movents," Chen Ke explained.

"Codes... that doesn’t sound good," Parker shook his head.

"No wonder Lucina’s wound reopened; it was that bitch’s doing," Diana said gravely.

"Boloz seems interested in Lucina’s body, constantly asking her about plans to have children... It makes uneasy. Although she is a common person, there might be senior figures involved at that church on the Transcendent level," Chen Ke said.

The incident Lucina encountered was not isolated and might even be related to little Jack and Jacob’s situations.

He stretched out his hand, took out his phone, opened the notepad, and noted down several keywords:

Lucina.

Boloz.

little Jack.

Jacob.

Lady Maria.

Lady Katherine’s Divine’s Dream.

The Queen’s Secret Keeper.

Fertility.

Small church, code "Fear of the Ancient God’s Blood"

The female monster killed by little Jack.

Failed divine descent.

Jack the Ripper cases.

He stared at these phrases on his phone, trying to connect them.

"What are you writing?" Diana asked.

Chen Ke handed the phone to Diana; she used to be an agent for the CPA and might be much better suited for this kind of thing.

"It’s so clues, right? There are so words I don’t understand; can you explain them?" Diana asked.

"No problem, I suspect Lucina’s matter is related to what I’m dealing with," Chen Ke replied.

"What is a Secret Keeper?" Diana asked.

"You can understand it as the Administration Bureau of this era," Chen Ke answered.

Diana nodded, pulled out her phone, and also opened her notepad, tirelessly pressing sothing.

"So... who are Lady Maria and Lady Katherine?" Diana asked again.

Chen Ke briefly shared his experiences from 1859 and reminded Diana that he had lost part of his mory, which might omit so critical information.

"That’s no big deal; sotis, even if you have all the information, you don’t get the right result," Diana shrugged.

"Um... What is Divine’s Dream?" Diana asked.

"It’s a dream made by a god, which can interfere with reality; Lady Katherine’s case is an example," Chen Ke replied.

"Okay, I think I understand... Although I’m not yet one hundred percent certain, the whole matter roughly goes like this..." Diana returned the phone to Chen Ke, then turned her phone’s screen towards him.

"What is this...?" Chen Ke was puzzled.

In the notepad, Diana had placed several related words side by side, and below, she briefly explained the situation, thus restoring the original appearance of the matter with a few short sentences.

"This is the simplest clue inference thod; next, we’ll see if we’ve hit the jackpot," Diana smiled.
