Olivia descended the stairs, and Bozi stepped forward with a slight bow, embodying the deanor of a loyal butler from an Arican drama. As the lady of the house glanced toward Chen Ke and Li Moyang, Bozi introduced them at the appropriate mont.

"This is Li Moyang, who has co from the Fei Huang Republic, and by his side is his bodyguard," Bozi said with utmost respect.

The hall was very quiet. Olivia’s gaze briefly flitted over Li Moyang, then shifted onto Chen Ke. Her expression, initially icy and haughty, softened slightly with a small smile when looking at Chen Ke.

"A bodyguard? You must have another reason for letting this bodyguard enter the manor," Olivia said in a thick Ireland accent, her cheeks rosy, her skin fair, and her face dotted with freckles.

"It is all my fault, Lady Olivia," Bozi bowed even lower.

"I won’t go anywhere without my bodyguard," Li Moyang said at that mont.

Olivia’s attention returned to Li Moyang. She walked over to him; standing together, Li Moyang and Chen Ke resembled college students next to high schoolers.

"Are you afraid of the dark, Fei Huang?" Olivia chuckled, looking down at Li Moyang.

"That depends on the kind of darkness," Li Moyang replied, slightly lifting his head to et Olivia’s eyes.

"You bring an insignificant lackey into my manor, and you see it as a blatant insult to , do you understand, Mr. Li?" Olivia asked, still smiling.

"To ... he is very important," Li Moyang insisted.

"Lady Olivia, we have co to an agreent. Upon leaving, the bodyguard will lose his eyesight," Bozi said with the utmost reverence.

Hearing this statent, Olivia smiled contentedly. She went over to Chen Ke, bending down to gaze into his eyes.

"You have a very nice pair of eyes, handso. But you don’t seem to appreciate them," Olivia said with a laugh.

Chen Ke remained silent, just looking at Olivia. He did not activate his Spiritual Vision; doing so would turn his pupils blue and make them glow, risking being discovered.

Olivia placed her hands on Chen Ke’s shoulders, laughing as she kneaded them, her thumbs digging into the gaps between his shoulder bones.

"Hmm..." Chen Ke winced with cold sweat, the pressure from Olivia’s fingers was formidable. Although he didn’t know what kind of tricks the Furious Witch might pull off, he guessed Olivia was probably a brash woman.

"You’re very solid, little bodyguard, I like n who are a bit sturdy," Olivia said, licking her lips. She moved her hands from Chen Ke’s shoulders down to his collar, undoing the top button of his shirt, while the other hand slid under his suit jacket, caressing his abdon through his shirt.

"Hey..." Li Moyang saw Olivia getting handsy with Chen Ke and wanted to intervene, but Bozi patted him and gestured for silence.

"Have I seen you before?" Olivia asked, looking at Chen Ke.

"I don’t recall," Chen Ke replied.

"But why do you look so familiar to ?" Olivia pressed.

Chen Ke sensed a hidden aning in her words, but couldn’t figure out what it was. It was his first ti eting the witch, and he couldn’t think of any explanation for it. His mind was racing, unsure of what to say.

Could it be... the witch could see sothing in Chen Ke that set him apart from the ordinary?

It seed unlikely... unless there were different levels of witches. Otherwise, Yasla’s Fujiwara Makoto and Diana should have noticed it too.

"Perhaps you rembered wrong," Chen Ke said, uttering the safest piece of nonsense.

"Hmhmhmhm... I have rembered you, little bodyguard," Olivia laughed, withdrawing her hand from Chen Ke, appearing quite satisfied.

"Can we talk about serious matters now?" Li Moyang urged.

Olivia glanced at Li Moyang, evidently feeling he was a spoilsport. She turned and walked toward the side hall on the first floor, making a gesture as she did so.

Bozi hurriedly ran ahead of Li Moyang and said, "Mr. Li, please follow ."

Witch Olivia led the way, with Bozi closely following, while Li Moyang and Chen Ke walked side by side behind them. The corridor was carpeted, and the hanging lamps on the walls were very antique. There were also so oil paintings on the walls, Chen Ke recognized one of them—it depicted a church embedded into a cliff, painted by Fan Hede.

Creak, creak...

Bozi pushed open the door to the parlor, stood by the door, and respectfully invited Olivia and Li Moyang to enter. When Chen Ke was about to follow them in, Bozi stopped him.

"This is as far as you go," Bozi said.

"No need for that, Bozi. Let the sturdy little bodyguard co in too," Olivia chuckled.

"Yes, ma’am..." Bozi bowed slightly, stepping aside to make way for Chen Ke.

The room was not large, but it was elegantly furnished and clearly designed for the purpose of serious discussions. There were no windows, just one door, and nurous oil paintings hung on the walls. In the middle of the room were just two sofas, ant for two people to sit down.

The seats were, of course, intended for Li Moyang. Olivia gestured for Li Moyang to take a seat, while Chen Ke stood behind her.

Once Olivia had also taken her seat, negotiations regarding Li Moyang joining the company officially began, and the eting finally turned to its main subject.

"Mr. Li Moyang, you said you wanted to join the company, and now that you’re here and have t , I expect you to have a basic understanding of the matter," Olivia said.

"Of course, I do," Li Moyang said.

"I think you don’t. Undoubtedly, you have your own thods to obtain information that you shouldn’t know about, like our existence. But if you think just that will earn our recognition, then you’re mistaken," Olivia said with a smile.

"Of course you can’t recognize . After all, I’m an outsider. But it took less than half a year to rge your controlled Lescott Consortium, which is enough to prove I’m of more value than your previous people," Li Moyang claid.

"This is why I say you don’t have an understanding of the company, Mr. Li Moyang. What do you think we consider when asuring a potential partner? Hmm? Do you think we’re just a pure business-oriented consortium alliance?" Olivia asked.

"Of course I know you’re not..." Li Moyang said.

"What else do you know about us?" Olivia asked with a smile.

"You... have more noble ideals and goals. Money and power are just ans for you to achieve those goals. Am I right?" Li Moyang asserted.

Olivia raised an eyebrow, seemingly impressed by Li Moyang’s words, yet it also seed like she had expected him to say just that.

"Noble ideals, I like that phrase. But such a statent is aningless. And I’ve always been puzzled... why have you insisted on bringing this bodyguard with you all along?" Eliwera inquired.

"Because..." Li Moyang’s mind raced, trying to fabricate a reason.

"Perhaps he is the real Li Moyang? And you... maybe you are the bodyguard?" Eliwera suggested, looking at Chen Ke with a smile.
