Chapter 418: Chapter 418: Divine Blood Bullet
Xu Jing dashed toward the stone door, and the monster’s attention was drawn to her. Its torso twisted eerily by 90 degrees, spewing a pillar of blood from its mouth like a high-pressure water jet.
Xu Jing quickly bent down, placed her right hand on the ground, and flipped her entire body over, performing a beautiful side sorsault to dodge the blood jet. Landing on her feet, she powered through her thighs and leaped toward the stone door.
“Don’t make wait too long!” Xu Jing yelled to Chen Ke, then slid into the nearly closed crevice of the stone door.
The monster crawled toward the stone door, preparing to pursue Xu Jing when at that mont, the back of its head struck by a blue Magic Torrent. In that instant, a translucent protective shield appeared out of nowhere, blocking half of the effect of the soul gun.
“You want to fight , freak,” Chen Ke said.
Just now, Chen Ke had used a Soul Gun attack worth 40 hours, and his current life span limit was only 45 hours.
Such great force made the Soul Gun resemble a Magic Torrent; with the boost from the life engine, a massive burst of light exploded on the monster’s forehead, but the result was not ideal.
Chen Ke deeply felt that the power of the Soul Gun was sowhat insufficient. The life engine could boost the power of all secret skills, but the strength of the skills themselves was limited.
Moreover, this monster possessed 60% Magic Resistance, and unusually, it was of the Justice attribute.
After being hit by the Soul Gun, the monster was not angered. In fact, if one were to judge by its distorted face alone, Chen Ke could not tell whether the monster was happy or sad at the mont.
The monster bent down and spewed a blood pillar at Chen Ke, just as it had done to Xu Jing.
Chen Ke did not have Xu Jing’s agility; he could only leap forward in a dive, just narrowly avoiding the sweep of the blood jet. The monster’s head tilted, and the blood pillar followed, spraying onto Chen Ke’s back and pouring down his neck through the gap in his collar.
Chen Ke did not feel pain. He had thought that the blood pillar would have Corrosive properties, but it only made him dirtier, and the pressure was not high enough to cut him open.
He picked himself up from the ground and threw a Ti Bomb at the monster, igniting An Helei’s Magic Flas in his right hand.
Since the monster was afraid of fire, then fire it would be. Previously, Chen Ke had used the Soul Gun primarily to avoid getting too close to the creature; after all, it was quite revolting.
The Ti Bomb exploded within the monster’s vicinity, forming a Ti Bubble.
But the Ti Bubble was too small and did not encompass the monster’s entire body. Its lower half was immobilized in place while a large portion of its upper body remained outside.
Now, the monster’s condition was quite peculiar. Logically, if part of its body was frozen in ti, functions like blood circulation should also stop.
However, the part of the monster that was outside the Ti Bubble still moved freely, showing no sign of ti affecting its physiology.
Chen Ke wondered if there might be a way to upgrade the Ti Bomb to a larger range. Plus, the life engine couldn’t boost ti-related abilities.
He summoned An Helei’s Elegy Armor, and the Magic Flas in his right arm heated the arm bracer red-hot. Chen Ke charged toward the monster, aiming for its soft underbelly.
After only running a few steps, Chen Ke suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to vomit, an ominous nausea surging up his throat. His entire body flickered with a red glow, and An Helei’s armor and Fla Magic disappeared into thin air.
He felt as though his insides were being gnawed by tens of thousands of tiny insects; a soul-wrenching abdominal pain forced him to bend over, and the Model 67 pistol he was holding fell to the ground.
He opened his mouth, and a mouthful of black blood spewed out.
“F*ck… the blood’s poisoned…” Chen Ke groaned.
At that mont, a line of dark red text appeared in Chen Ke’s vision: Spiritual Power Seal.
He was horrified. The blood sprayed out by the monster was so toxic! It could not only make one sick but also seal away Spiritual Energy!
The Ti Bomb’s hold on the monster was loosening, and Chen Ke trembled with pain as the temporal link with the monster broke as well.
The monster stepped out from the Ti Bubble of the Ti Bomb, raising its large stinger, plunging it toward Chen Ke, who lay on his side on the ground.
Chen Ke forced himself to roll and pulled the revolver from its holster on his belt.
“Healing! Healing!” Chen Ke silently urged, feeling his organs knitting themselves back together, but the toxic blood of the monster was relentless, its virulent poison incessantly corroding his innards, perfectly countering the countdown’s healing pace.
anwhile, the monster’s murderous intent continued to replenish Chen Ke’s life span, ensuring he remained trapped under the agony of blood poison.
Originally, he thought that having a life countdown ant being impervious to all poisons, for it was by that ans he had resisted the Black Ring’s terminal disease back in Fan Hede.
Now, it seed he had assud too much.
This also indirectly suggested that the Black Ring’s terminal disease was not a virus, but rather sothing akin to a curse.
The first ti Chen Ke faced the human-faced dog, the life countdown had also consud life span to protect his sanity from attack…
It appeared that he was only immune to curses and magical effects that targeted his essence, while viruses and environntal illusions like these would still affect him, not to ntion tic influences.
Using all his strength, Chen Ke pulled the trigger of the revolver, firing six shots at the monster; weakened and unsteady from the poison, he couldn’t control the gun properly, and three of the bullets hit the ceiling.
Of course, ordinary bullets stood no chance against the monster; Chen Ke was only hoping to interrupt its attack, to buy himself more ti.
He knelt on the ground, trying to move towards the door behind him, hoping to find an opportunity to hide, at least until the effects of the blood poison subsided.
However, the monster would not grant him such an opportunity as a huge stinger pierced through Chen Ke’s right shoulder from behind and out the right side of his chest.
“F**k!” Chen Ke cursed out in pain, unable to move his right arm, his left hand useless with the revolver.
The monster lifted its right arm, hoisting Chen Ke into the air, and clamped onto his legs with its other hand, bringing him face to face with its grotesque visage. Chen Ke got a close look at the bizarre face.
To say it was entirely a monster’s face didn’t seem quite right to Chen Ke; it was clearly transford from a regular human one, and judging by the contours, it used to be rather handso.
“Wei…” the monster murmured softly.
Chen Ke spat out black blood as his right shoulder, exposed flesh stark against the dark red of blood, lay limp, his legs still gripped tight, and his complexion far from good; he couldn’t reload the revolver, his only chance was to try to use Spiritual Energy again.
But the effect of this diseased blood was excessively strong, abnormal even, causing not just visceral discomfort but also sealing off all his abilities; no matter how you looked at it, this monster was beyond a re 50-hour level!
The monster’s other pair of deford human hands ca up, ripping open Chen Ke’s shirt and baring his stomach, then it opened its mouth, revealing black teeth like jagged little saws.
“Damn this… this is gonna…” Chen Ke was shocked, the monster’s posture resembled his own when he skewered at late at night all too closely!
Sure enough, the monster opened its mouth wide and brought its face close to Chen Ke, who felt a piercing pain in his abdon, as if all his strength were being drained away.
The monster’s cheeks writhed, making ghastly chewing sounds as it clamped down on its teeth, gripping Chen Ke tightly, and started pulling.
A clump of muscle tissue from Chen Ke’s abdon was now in the monster’s mouth, being torn at ceaselessly like sinew that wouldn’t co off a bone, the pain so intense that Chen Ke rolled his eyes back, lacking even the strength to curse.
Blood splattered from the horrific wound, the monster’s teeth clenching, causing pus and blood to ooze from Chen Ke’s stomach like he was a juicy steak.
“It’s eating …”
That’s what Chen Ke thought, forcing himself not to faint; he definitely didn’t want to wake up next ti to find himself in the belly of a giant beast.
His blood ran down his sleeve onto the revolver in his left hand, dripping into the ammunition chamber through the gaps.
At that mont, a line of information appeared in his field of vision:
Divine Blood Bullet, production complete.
