Chapter 415: Chapter 415: A Tough Man Sheds Tears

This giant cockroach was actually a god!

Its pile of pitch-black compound eyes were as big as Chen Ke’s entire body, with two long antennae pressed under its own body, and its abdon was filled with syringes.

Chen Ke’s mind went blank, his emotions a blank slate, a mix of shock and disgust for insect creatures surged up, and then, his eyes actually moistened.

“Fuck…” Chen Ke thought he was crying because he was scared by such a big bug and couldn’t help but curse out.

But that was not right, he tasted his emotions again, this wasn’t being scared into crying, this was genuine sadness!

Chen Ke couldn’t help but shed two lines of hot tears, the clear tear marks on his blood-stained cheeks pulling out two white tracks, the sadness intensified, and Chen Ke actually started to sob.

“Oh my god, this is… this is HCP0094! It’s a deity… it… it actually died here?” Xu Jing exclaid, she forcibly suppressed her discomfort, after all, seeing such a giant cockroach would make anyone shudder.

Although the giant cockroach was dead, its wings and insect feet were still glossy, and its complex abdominal structure was nauseating. Xu Jing walked around to the side to observe the situation behind the giant cockroach and didn’t find any physical damage to its body.

“Didn’t you say… gods are… immortal?” Chen Ke asked with a sob in his voice.

“But they do die indeed, the Foundation also doesn’t know why… Chen Ke, why are you crying?” Xu Jing looked at Chen Ke, seeing him with tears streaming down, crying incessantly.

“I don’t know… damn it… this feeling is so bizarre, my sorrow has nothing to do with … it’s fucked up…” Chen Ke’s tone was extrely helpless, but the tone was unbearably sad, and combined with Chen Ke being covered in blood, the scene was chilling.

Xu Jing frowned, she had never seen such a scene, and unconsciously pulled out her gun, slowly pointing it at Chen Ke.

“What are you doing…?” Chen Ke asked.

“I suspect you are infected with a … perhaps influenced by this deity…” Xu Jing was unsure, after all, she still needed Chen Ke to kill the Clan.

“I’m fine, give so ti.” Chen Ke waved his hand, he suddenly felt a strong urge to touch the giant cockroach.

Seeing Chen Ke’s action, Xu Jing slowly stepped forward, not daring to make any sudden movents, she unlocked the safety on her gun, watching every move Chen Ke made.

“Chen Ke, do what you want to do, but let tell you first, if sothing bad happens to you in a bit… don’t bla …” Xu Jing said.

Chen Ke ignored Xu Jing, he was now swallowed by sadness and confusion, his hand touching the carapace between the pair of compound eyes of the cockroach, a mysterious feeling of affection surged up.

“These emotions aren’t mine… are they yours?” Chen Ke muttered to himself, trying to ask the stone in his heart.

“Denied.” The stone’s thought popped up.

“Not right… not it. So strange.” Chen Ke felt like he had beco so kind of carrier, but he didn’t know what ssages he was transmitting.

At that mont, the surrounding blood fog instantly shrank dramatically, if anyone could still see this blood fog, standing on the street, they would observe the entire fog covering the sky above the academy all pouring underground.

The blood fog silently gathered in front of Chen Ke, forming a high-density red sphere, only the size of a table tennis ball, the blood on Chen Ke’s body also got absorbed into it.

Xu Jing watched as Chen Ke slowly reverted to his original form, and her clenched heart slightly relaxed; at least Chen Ke no longer looked like a bloody ss and his mood had stabilized quite a bit.

Chen Ke saw that the giant cockroach’s body had originally been glossy, but since all the blood had been drawn into the blood sphere in front of him, it was also slowly turning gray.

The silent spheres kept spinning, absorbing a great deal of blood yet not increasing in size; they maintained the volu of ping-pong balls and then, whoosh, they shot towards Chen Ke’s chest.

Chen Ke couldn’t dodge in ti; it was as if he’d been punched straight in the chest, causing him to stagger a few steps and fall to the ground.

“Chen Ke?!” Xu Jing saw Chen Ke sitting on the ground, stepped forward quickly, but still kept her gun pointed at his head without letting her guard down.

Chen Ke felt so changes in his body. How could he describe it? It was as if the cold blood that had solidified inside him had started flowing again.

At that mont, a line of blood-red text appeared at the corner of his eye: Divine Blood Unleashed.

“Are you still Chen Ke?” Xu Jing asked anxiously, terrified that Chen Ke might have been overtaken by HCP0094’s consciousness.

“I’m fine…you can put away the gun…” Chen Ke sat on the ground, still not having ti to digest the aning of that line of text.

“Are you sure?” Xu Jing was still a bit wary.

Chen Ke got up from the ground, dusted off the dirt on his clothes, which were unusually dry; all the blood on his body and the surrounding blood mist had been absorbed into his body completely, as if nothing had happened.

With no blood mist obstructing his view, Chen Ke saw the surroundings clearly for the first ti: gray walls and cluttered lab equipnt ca into view.

The giant cockroach’s corpse, which had been glossy before, was now black and gray. Chen Ke lightly touched it, and the massive creature suddenly collapsed into a pile of black ashes.

Chen Ke and Xu Jing exchanged looks, with Xu Jing seemingly cautiously confirming his gaze to understand whether the man standing before her was still the one she knew.

“Did you say earlier that this thing is HCP0094?” Chen Ke asked.

“Yes, it’s also a deity capable of spreading a tic plague; these diseases are all blood-related, utterly disgusting,” replied Xu Jing, slowly lowering her gun.

Chen Ke bent down to look at the ashes on the iron bed; his eyes showed no information, suggesting the deity had completely vanished.

He suddenly felt nauseous; if this deity had been dedicated to spreading blood plagues, then all the blood inside his body…

“Could it be that the organization beneath the academy is using the corpse of HCP0094 for blood harvesting to create those monsters?” Xu Jing posed another question.

“I don’t think so; they seem to be just collecting blood… whether it is from civilians or this deity, the monsters might just be a by-product,” Chen Ke shook his head.

All those monsters were female and pregnant, unclear whether they were artificially created or naturally occurring. Moreover, the swelling in the chests of those blood-harvested civilians was also very concerning.

Xu Jing did not argue; she had overlooked so details, perhaps due to being overly panicked? Sohow, she felt a bit disoriented.

“I saw sothing… It’s ti to take care of business.” Chen Ke took out a Type-67 pistol; he used Spiritual Vision and saw a man running.

The guards and related personnel had already evacuated; only the civilians lying in bed were there, and he saw a man running, who could only be Jacob.
