Chapter 395: Chapter 395: Silent Reversal

“Ah, just as I thought, Harlowin, I assud that after all this, you would restrain yourself a bit,” Anderson looked up at Harlowin with a hint of helplessness in his tone.

“It’s all your fault, Anderson, you have no right to do this!” Harlowin glared at Anderson, angrily.

“You have no right either! All of this is because of you!” Anderson pointed at Harlowin, and the sorrow in his angry expression was not lost on Chen Ke.

“So, who is he? Another little lover you brought out from the photographic world?” Anderson looked at Chen Ke and taunted.

“What…?” Chen Ke was stunned and glanced at Harlowin.

Harlowin looked back at Chen Ke, her eyes filled with shyness and embarrassnt.

“No… no… his reaction doesn’t seem like sothing from the photographs… Who are you?” Anderson looked at Chen Ke, puzzled.

“He is from the Administration Bureau! Anderson, did you think you could keep what you did to hidden forever?” Harlowin laughed.

“From the Administration Bureau? Listen, agent. No matter what that bitch has told you, things are not as simple as they seem,” Anderson said, his expression earnest.

“This is…” Chen Ke was montarily dumbfounded, he squinted and looked at Harlowin and Anderson, feeling like he was dragged into so bizarre situation.

“Chen Ke, don’t listen to his nonsense, he and Philip took the cara while I was possessed, and locked inside to play with at will,” Harlowin said.

“Hahaha! Is that what you told him? Huh? Your na is Chen Ke, right? Harlowin only told you half of the story, and even that was a watered-down version!” Anderson laughed, his expression filled with imnse anger.

Chen Ke had seen such expressions before—it was a mix of mockery for lies and helpless anger.

If soone has such an expression, it can only an they’ve been duped.

“Chen Ke! Don’t listen to his nonsense… Anderson, you bastard! I curse you! I curse you!” Harlowin yelled furiously.

“Chen Ke… listen, don’t think she’s anything good, no matter what you’ve seen in the photographs, I assure you, I’ve seen more exciting!” Anderson shouted angrily.

“What exactly is going on… Ms. Harlowin?” Chen Ke was confused.

“You’ve seen it in the photographs! Do I need to say it again? He imprisoned in there! Let that pervert Philip do whatever he wanted with !” Harlowin glared, furious.

“My Harlowin, why don’t you make things clear? Ever since we got that cara, we’ve been having so much fun! Wasn’t it your idea to bring Felipe into it?” Anderson said with a smile.

“What the fuck?!” Chen Ke was shocked and looked at Harlowin.

“Listen Chen Ke, here’s what happened!” Anderson began.

It turned out, Anderson had bought the cara. He discovered its secret and shared it unreservedly with Harlowin.

As compensation for not being able to fulfill her dreams, he asked the company’s creative team to intentionally shoot many abandoned advertising projects to accommodate Harlowin’s requests.

For the first two years, Harlowin took charge and, using her customized ability of the photographic world along with the power of the Lescott advertising team, she enjoyed playing the movie star, experiencing all kinds of adventurous fun.

These adventures were surprising, romantic, and so… indescribable.

In pursuit of a more thrilling experience, Harlowin needed soone genuinely creative to help set the stage.

So Harlowin suggested sharing the cara’s secret with the head of Lescott’s advertising departnt, Felipe.

With Felipe’s assistance, Harlowin had even more fun, no wonder the president’s office featured Harlowin’s advertising portraits…

“We had agreed… to keep what happens in the photos separate from reality! But you’ve completely imrsed yourself…” Anderson shouted angrily.

However, one day, Anderson discovered Harlowin had brought a tool from the photographic world into reality to have fun…

No man can tolerate being cuckolded, even if it’s just a tool from the photographs.

Furthermore, it seed Harlowin had played this ga more than once… Anderson couldn’t accept Harlowin’s betrayal of him, but he didn’t expose his wife imdiately. Instead, during the next possession, he locked her up…

“This is… what kind of crappy plot is this…?” Chen Ke scratched his head.

“Chen Ke… it’s not my fault, you have to understand… how cold he had been to before,” Harlowin admitted without denying Anderson’s claims, hoping Chen Ke could understand.

“She’s already in too deep. I’m managing such a big company. How could I possibly have ti to be with her every day?!” Anderson exclaid.

“Chen Ke… help … Chen Ke… he will definitely lock up again… Ah!” Before Harlowin could finish, she clutched her chest, propelled by inertia to the wall, saring it with blood. She slid to the ground, gasping for breath, looking at Chen Ke as if pleading for his help.

Judging from where the bullet hit, it likely punctured her lung… Chen Ke shook his head, indicating there was nothing he could do.

“I’m not here to make sense, Chen Ke. I can’t let this woman live. Beautiful chicks shouldn’t be married,” Anderson said.

The shooter’s gun was equipped with a silencer; indeed, that shot was accurate.

“Mr. Anderson… You must be very clear that your actions just now were murder, weren’t they?” Chen Ke asked.

“Yes, of course. Chen Ke, where’s the cara?” Anderson asked.

“Do you still want it?” Chen Ke retorted.

“No, no, I want to destroy it. That thing only corrupts the soul, making people fall,” Anderson waved his hand dismissively.

“Oh, I already destroyed it,” Chen Ke said.

“Mmm… good. That just leaves one last thing,” Anderson sighed. He signaled to the gunman beside him and said, “I’m sorry, Chen Ke, but I can’t let you leave here alive. The fewer people who know about this, the better.”

Over a dozen guns fired at Chen Ke. He leaned on the railing, leaping over it and landing behind a row of shelves; a single soul shot took out four gunn on the left.

Seeing Chen Ke take out four of his gunn with a single shot, Anderson finally beca panicked. Obviously, he had underestimated the level of Spiritual Power an Administration Bureau agent could wield.

Although Chen Ke was not an Administration Bureau agent.

“You were not originally on my list… Mr. Anderson,” Chen Ke said.

“Quick! Take him down!” Anderson yelled.

Chen Ke glanced aside and spotted a round table. He swiftly darted from the side of the shelves to the table.

He stood the table upright, using it as a movable shield. But the thin tabletop couldn’t withstand the penetrating power of 9mm bullets, so he placed his right hand on the tabletop, paused for a mont, and left the round table frozen in ti.

Objects halted in ti delayed their reaction to damage until the pause effect was lifted; at this mont, the table was 100% bulletproof.

Using the table for cover, Chen Ke fired two more soul shots, taking seven gunn along with Anderson.

The massive soul gun tore through human bodies and flew out of the warehouse, piercing a black car parked outside. A blue light burst sent the car flying, but the magic couldn’t ignite the gasoline, so the car didn’t explode.

In just under ten seconds of confrontation, one man had taken out half of their team, and their boss was dead, prompting the gunn to rethink their position; they fired as they ran towards the warehouse exit.

“Don’t think about running…” Chen Ke snapped his fingers with his left hand. Spiritual Energy burst forth, catapulting the table like a giant flying disc, brutally smashing into the gunn who hadn’t managed to escape.

After the ti pause on the table was lifted, it shattered into pieces. Just as Chen Ke was about to rush out, a white light ribbon appeared on his left hand. He looked back and saw the light extending to a small room on the second floor.

“Retrieve ability”

“Ti Pause upgrade”

“Unlock throwing”

Three lines of text appeared at the corner of his eye, the light ribbon slowly faded, and finally disappeared.

Chen Ke tried to activate the Ti Pause ability again, and the white film in his hand turned into a white light orb…
