Chapter 393: Chapter 393 Mission Completed

At first glance, the cara seed unremarkable, but to Chen Ke’s eyes, an information box popped up.

“Mutated Object Level: Transcendent”

“Mutating Effect: With film loaded, all photos taken by the cara will form a ‘world’.”

“Mutating Effect: The cara’s owner has the ability to customize the ‘world’.”

“Mutating Effect: The cara’s owner can expel/imprison other entrants in the photo and bring individuals out of the photo.”

“Mutating Effect: Images generated through the cara will form a ‘door,’ through which anyone can enter the ‘world.'”

“Combined Effect: The cara’s owner can freely pause, rewind, fast forward, and restart the tiline of the Negative World.”

“Mutating Effect: The cara’s owner can freely possess any object within the ‘world.'”

The dazzling array of mutated effects rolled in, and Chen Ke couldn’t help but feel embarrassed; the cara’s abilities were certainly not limited to creating amusent parks.

Those with more imaginative minds might develop more destructive uses; it was fortunate that the device had been in Harlowin’s hands for so many years, otherwise the world would definitely be in great chaos.

Just for the ability to freely imprison other entrants alone, the Negative World was a perfect prison, and the owner of the cara could even take people out of it…

Think about it… your political enemies, business rivals, potential competitors… take a picture of them and then swap them out with a classic kidnapping ploy, simply perfect…

And through the customizing ability, a limitless number of disposable soldiers could be randomly generated… It was essentially a perfect soldier-making machine…

Although the disposable people in the photos did not have complete human intelligence, wasn’t that even better? Cannon fodder didn’t need humanity.

In a mont, Chen Ke suddenly had a dangerous thought…

He wanted to keep this cara and take a picture of Lucina, Wang Ailin, and Diana…

But quickly, this thought was strangled in its cradle of speculation.

“This thing… is very dangerous,” Chen Ke muttered to himself.

At the sa ti, he noticed that among the pile of mutated effects, a strange thing seed to have been mixed in, a combined effect…

This cara’s ability concerning ti was a combined effect? What does that an? Chen Ke was baffled.

First things first, he had to release Harlowin…

The cara’s owner was now Chen Ke, and naturally, he had the ability to let Harlowin out.

Although he didn’t know how these abilities worked, they should be similar to An Helei’s ashes, right? Just rely on thinking?

He fiddled with it for a while and found it was not the case, so he picked up the cara and looked through the viewfinder.

Through the lens, he saw the Negative World, like a kaleidoscope of small, spinning, overlapping squares, each a different world.

He subconsciously rotated the lens and found he could freely switch which Negative World he observed.

The Polaroid cara wasn’t an instant model but a traditional mirrorless digital, and it used film. The mont he moved the lens, Chen Ke felt as if he were imrsed in a mysterious space.

He stood high above, with all the photo worlds floating in front of him, these worlds like miniature landscapes.

Chen Ke found the warehouse world where Harlowin was still fighting. He leaned in to observe and stopped the world’s cycle of ti.

Agent Harlowin looked up, stopping to gaze at Chen Ke above.

“Ms. Harlowin…” Chen Ke said.

“You are… the rookie?” Agent Harlowin said.

“Yes, it’s ,” Chen Ke replied.

“So… you succeeded? Your head has beco a cara…” Agent Harlowin said.

“Right… I killed Felipe, Ms. Harlowin,” Chen Ke nodded.

“Well done, rookie, the mission can finally co to an end, can’t it…” Agent Harlowin said calmly.

“Yes… you know what I’m going to do next… I’m sorry,” Chen Ke said.

“Do the right thing, rookie, no need to apologize, no need to linger,” Agent Harlowin said with a smile.

There was a silence between the two.

“I can take you out,” Chen Ke said.

“No, I don’t belong there, I shouldn’t even exist… Do the right thing, finish the mission, rookie,” Agent Harlowin said.

“Goodbye, Agent,” Chen Ke said.

“Goodbye, rookie,” Agent Harlowin waved.

Chen Ke left the warehouse world, searching among a multitude of photographs, each picture portraying a unique Harlowin, who was subjected to an endless cycle of torture between life and death.

“Ms. Harlowin.” Chen Ke finally found that street, he turned off the cycle, and removed the assassins from the street.

“Are you… Chen Ke?” Harlowin looked up at the oversized cara head in the sky.

“Ready to co out?” Chen Ke said.

“Finally… I’m finally…” Harlowin cried tears of joy.

Swish!

Chen Ke put down the cara, and there stood a white-haired woman wearing a purple sweater and jeans.

Despite being over 40, she was still strikingly beautiful, but the wrinkles at the corners of her mouth and eyes made her age imdiately apparent.

The Harlowin in front of him had no makeup on, and her face was haggard; she looked at Chen Ke, then around at her surroundings, her expression one of astonishnt.

“I’m out…?” she said, scarcely believing it.

“Yes, Ms. Harlowin, you’re out…” Chen Ke said.

“I… I… just a mont…” Harlowin said, pulling over a chair to sit down; she held her forehead, appearing completely exhausted.

Chen Ke leaned against the table, fiddling with the cara, knowing that after being imprisoned for so long, Harlowin needed ti to adjust.

“Chen… Chen Ke, thank you…” Harlowin said tremblingly, she was sobbing, but as a mature woman, she retained a touch of composure, not becoming hysterical as she did in the photographs.

“No need to thank , but I must remind you, everyone outside thinks you’re dead,” Chen Ke cautioned.

“Felipe… where is he…?” Harlowin asked.

Chen Ke inclined his chin toward the body on the ground with a nod.

Harlowin glanced at Felipe’s body, sighed, and did not react with hysterical cursing as Chen Ke expected.

“My husband… Where is Anderson?” Harlowin asked.

According to Chen Ke’s deduction and what Felipe had revealed, it was actually her husband Anderson’s idea to take pleasure in torturing her by trapping her in the photographs.

“I don’t know, I haven’t seen him,” Chen Ke shook his head.

“What… I thought it was him who had asked the Administration Bureau to investigate this matter…” Harlowin said, puzzled.

“I’m afraid it’s quite the opposite, it might have been your husband who locked you in the photographs…” Chen Ke said.

“Oh… I… I’m not surprised… He indeed liked to play so… things with ,” Harlowin said somberly.

Chen Ke dismantled the cara and took out the film. The mont he removed it from the film chamber, all the Negative Worlds disappeared.

“This cara… what do you plan to do with it?” Harlowin asked, looking at the photograph in Chen Ke’s hand.

Her gaze was complex, seemingly fearful yet longing.

“This cara, it’s now the property of the Administration Bureau, but according to my personal judgnt… it ought to be destroyed,” Chen Ke said.

“Destroyed…” Harlowin seed reluctant to part with it, but she raised no objection.
