Chapter 240: Chapter 221 Dragon Knight Davian

The Silvermoon Knight perished amidst the mountains of the orcs, and not in the desert.

The known destiny could not be altered, an absolute law; thus, no matter how hard Amberser tried, it was impossible for him to take down the Silvermoon Knight here.

This was also why Amberser had been scared out of his wits initially, facing this old man who absolutely couldn’t die, all his struggles seed futile.

But he quickly realized sothing—if the Silvermoon Knight wasn’t fated to die here, it ant that the Goddess of Fate’s test wasn’t about Amberser killing the Silvermoon Knight.

Once he understood this, Amberser imdiately cald down and then he noticed sothing.

The Silvermoon Knight had only unleashed one slash and then did not pursue any further.

Now there were about a dozen people flying in the sky, six of them bathed in Holy Light, seemingly the Legendary Holy Warriors from Laine. The remaining dozen were legends from the Dwarf Kingdom. Amberser didn’t know who they exactly were, only that the forces had initially been evenly matched, but after that one slash from the Silvermoon Knight, the side from the Dwarf Kingdom had lost a third of their number.

This terrifying old man had killed four or five legends with a single slash—it was freaking outrageous.

Beyond that incredible Silvermoon Knight, the other Legendary Holy Warriors from Laine were ferocious as well, pumling the remaining Dwarven legends, driving them to complete disarray.

In addition to the aerial combat, sounds of marching troops could also be heard from outside Dew City; alarms rang constantly from the city walls, and the Magic Conduction Cannon was roaring. Clearly, the Laine Army had also arrived outside Dew City.

With this pincer attack from above and below, Dew City’s fall was just a matter of ti.

So, here was the question—did Dew City truly fall?

When Amberser had encountered Harvey again, it was in Dew City, which ant that Dew City was still under the control of the Dwarf Kingdom several months later.

However, how had Dew City survived such a ferocious attack?

“We are the variable that’s destined to make a difference. The trial given to

by destiny is to defend this city,” Amberser said to Katherine.

“Defend the city? Are we supposed to stand on the city walls and help them defend it?” Katherine frowned, although that seed simpler, wouldn’t that expose them to more danger?

Amberser shook his head and said, “Don’t worry, you don’t need to take action in this battle.”

Katherine really wanted to ask why. She was curious how Amberser was so confident that he could protect Dew City from the Silvermoon Knight’s assault, but Amberser had no ti to explain as he flew straight toward the sky.

Katherine looked at Amberser’s rising figure with great worry in her heart.

Amberser, however, was quite confident. He flew halfway into the sky and opened his personal space, summoning Naomi out.

The massive silver dragon erged from the portal, unleashing a roar that startled everyone.

From whence ca this Silver Dragon?

Naomi had rested for such a long ti and had recovered most of her strength. While traveling through ti and space again might not be possible, joining the battle was no longer an issue.

Amberser rode on Naomi’s back, plunging directly into the midst of the aerial battlefield.

In Amberser’s hands appeared an extended version of the Magic-guide Rifle, which had undergone nurous improvents and far surpassed the original in power.

He pulled the trigger, and the barrel fired out a rapidly spinning white bullet.

No matter how chaotic the battlefield was, or how fierce the winds were at high altitudes, the power of the Legendary Ranger allowed Amberser to hit his targets with precision in all extre conditions.

The bullet accurately hit a Paladin who was hacking away at a Dwarven legend. The bullet failed to penetrate his armor, but the white bone dust produced from its shattering rapidly proliferated, forming a bone cage that trapped the Paladin within a second.

This bone material, spurred into being by a virus, was fragile. A Legendary Rank Paladin needed only a slight touch to shatter it—but Amberser didn’t give him the chance.

The bullets hit one after another, thickening the bone prison.

A Holy Slash managed to break through one layer, but the second layer of bone cage followed imdiately, trapping the Legendary Holy Warrior in an endless series of bone prisons.

The trapped Paladin tried using Holy Light to blast apart the bones, but this wasn’t Necromancy; rather, it was Biotechnology from Alchemy City, and the Holy Light had little effect, not as effective as using his own sword to cut through.

By taking control of a Paladin’s outward identity right from the start, the Dwarven legends recognized Amberser as one of their own. Although they were unsure from where this Dragon Knight in silver armor akin to a Paladin had erged, now was not the ti to ponder over this; they must seize the opportunity to strike back.

The Dwarven legends joined forces in a counter-attack, filling the sky with crisscrossing lights and shadows, exploding like brilliant fireworks.

Amberser was soon targeted by Laine’s Holy Warriors; a Holy Slash slicing through the air from the side, aiming for Amberser’s head.

Amberser didn’t even spare a glance, focusing on using his Magic-guide Rifle to hinder the movents of the other Holy Warriors and helping the Dwarven legends regain the advantage.

As for the Holy Slash that hacked toward him, it struck only air.

Because with a single flap of her wings, Naomi had carried Amberser away at an inconceivable speed.

The Ti Dragon’s body was under the constant effect of an Acceleration Spell, and despite Naomi’s massive size, her speed far surpassed that of the Paladins.

This was precisely why Amberser had brought Naomi along, for a Ranger in combat must have their animal companion by their side, or else they could not unleash half their battle strength.

Naomi dodged the Paladin’s Holy Slash and turned her head to breathe a mist-like dragon’s breath at him.

The Ti Dragon’s breath was not simply fire, but a special energy imbued with the Power of Ti. The oncoming dragon’s breath was so wide in its spread that the Paladin had no chance to avoid it and was enveloped by the silver mist.

There was a jangling sound as the Paladin’s armor began to drop off its various parts.

The once-shining silver-white armor turned rusty, as if it had aged hundreds of years.

Such is the power of ti. The Ti Dragon’s breath could cause the stuff it touched to leap forward in ti at random. With so luck, it might only be a day or two’s change, but with bad luck, like this Paladin’s, one might age decades in an instant, with their armor turning into junk.

But killing a Legendary Paladin so easily was impossible. His Holy Light turned as bright as a small sun, clearing away all abnormal conditions and restoring his appearance from a white-haired old man back to a middle-aged man in his forties or fifties.

Even though the abnormal status had disappeared, most of his armor had already broken off, and even the sword in his hand had beco covered in rust.

Amberser showed no courtesy, raising his arm as a streak of cold light shot from his palm, stabbing straight at the Paladin.

Without the protection of his armor, the Paladin’s defensive strength was halved. Facing Amberser’s sneak attack, he could only raise his Holy Light Shield and lift his rusty sword in defense.

The sharp gleam of cold light first pierced through his rusty sword, then effortlessly penetrated his Holy Light Shield, and stabbed into his body.

The Paladin felt as if a black hole had been poked through his body, his imnse Force of the Holy Light being sucked out of this hole, leaving him feeling drained. Not only that, but even the effect of the Flight Spell he wore was ruptured by this spike, and he could only plumt from the sky.

Amberser was very satisfied with this effect. This was Katherine’s Magic-Breaking Weapon.

It was a Legendary Grace obtained by the Elf Queen after she ascended to the rank of Legendary Ranger, designed specifically to pierce through any energy defense. Amberser had almost suffered from it himself; even the Magic Shield crafted by the Golden Throne was nothing before its puncture.

This wasn’t so outrageous because only Katherine could craft such a weapon initially.

But who would have thought that the Elf Queen would awaken a Selfless Share, such a Legendary Grace, allowing countless mbers of the Elf Tribe to beco craftsn of Magic-Breaking Weapons, and equipping them on a large scale? If it really ca to a fight, the Elf Tribe would be invincible before it self-destructed. The Silvermoon Knights’ swords are unstoppable, but faced with thousands of Elf archers, how many of these magic-breaking arrows could they deflect?

The Elf Tribe was just about to start their invasion of Alchemy City, and these Magic-Breaking Weapons were likely still a secret to most.

Using this luxurious equipnt, Amberser ambushed a Paladin, and the Laine side imdiately sensed sothing was amiss.

They had been fighting for so long, with Laine pressing down on these Dwarf Legends. With the Silvermoon Knights present, they were invincible.

But suddenly, a Dragon Knight appeared with terrifying combat ability.

The old man hovering afar didn’t hesitate at all as he flew towards the falling Paladin. He caught the fallen Paladin securely and then ordered, “Retreat!”

The remaining Paladins didn’t hesitate, throwing out all the magic items they could, using every thod to extricate themselves from their opponents’ grasp, and followed the Silvermoon Knight’s retreat.

Amberser watched the old man’s receding figure and finally let out a sigh of relief.

He had gambled right; the old man only had the strength for one sword strike. After dispatching several Legends with a single blow, he could only stand from afar and watch. Perhaps he could burst forth with trendous combat power when faced with a life-or-death situation, but as long as he wasn’t pushed into a corner, the old man wouldn’t overexert himself.

Cheers erupted around Amberser, the Dwarven Legends who had survived the ordeal were using all their strength to vent their fear and frustration.

The battle in the sky ended, and the Laine Army on the ground also appeared to halt their assault. The Laine People were very protective of their own forces and wouldn’t squander them needlessly. Without a decisive victory in the legendary battle, they could only retreat to regroup.

At this mont, a Dwarf flew beside Amberser and said with imnse gratitude, “Thank you so much, Mister Dragon Knight. Please tell

your na, I, Hoffman Olay, must know who saved my life.”

“Hoffman?”

Amberser turned and looked at the Dwarf floating beside him.

His armor was already tattered, with Holy Light leaving behind burn marks all over his body, and his right arm cut off cleanly at the elbow, blood still flowing from the wound.

Could this be Hoffman Ironfist?

Amberser looked at the trembling Dwarf, finding it hard to believe this was the future King’s Hand of the Dwarf Kingdom.

After a mont of thought, Amberser replied, “My na is Davian, just a passing Dragon Knight.”
