??Chapter 231: Chapter 212: Becoming the God of the New World

Chapter 231: Chapter 212: Becoming the God of the New World

The Guild President wasn’t so easily fooled, and Amberser had been prepared for this.

But the old fellow’s tenacity was still a bit surprising, coming straight to the point like that.

“President, are you doubting ? You clearly want to pry the thod of leaving this place out of ,” Amberser said.

The President calmly replied, “It’s the sa thing, isn’t it? If you tell

how to leave, won’t it prove your sincerity?”

This old bird, quite the scher.

Nevertheless, Amberser wasn’t afraid to answer honestly, “You also know this is a Deity’s junkyard, ordinary thods simply won’t get you in. I happened upon a special space connection to get to this exiled world. Co up with

and have a look, and you’ll probably understand what’s going on.”

The President’s single eye spun in its socket before he said, “Fine, let’s see what’s really happening.”

Having said that, the half-transparent tentacle monster flew straight up.

The President’s current form was quite special, no longer limited to the mundane understanding of biology. Amberser didn’t have the ability to pass through walls, so he had to follow the original path back to the surface.

The President floated quietly amid the ruins, and Amberser couldn’t decipher the expression on the one-eyed tentacle creature, not knowing whether it felt any nostalgia as he directly got to the point.

Amberser stretched out his hand and pointed to the sky, right where the Thrashtoads resided in the swamp.

“Above that swamp lives a group of Thrashtoads, and these monsters can create space passages that connect to the outside world. They hunt and reproduce through these portals. I was just lucky enough to sneak in, then leaped from the swamp to these ruins. You should be able to confirm whether I’m lying.”

The President’s single eye stared at the swamp above for a while before he spoke to Amberser, “That’s correct, everything you said is true, but you’re still hiding a lot. However, I assu you’re doing it for the sake of maximizing your benefits. I won’t beat around the bush, can these Thrashtoads really get

out of here?”

Partial truths seed to be ineffective on the President; the crafty old bird always managed to grab the crux of the matter.

“How would I know?” Amberser replied candidly, “I can only say it’s possible. After all, I managed to get in, so naturally there’s a way to go back. The question now is, even if the Thrashtoads can really open a space passage, can you leave this city? If not, I suppose you’re not thinking of taking the whole city back with you, are you?”

The President’s soul was one with the magic array in the sewers. Moving from the sewers to the surface was still feasible, but he definitely couldn’t leave Alchemy City at will.

The President pondered for a mont before saying, “If I can get the related materials, I could create an even larger space passage on my own.”

Going from zero to one may require luck and inspiration, but the President believed that going from one to ten just needed a bit of ti, such was the confidence of a Legendary Alchemist.

Amberser, however, said, “Then we’d have to connect Alchemy City to that swamp, and it’s not easy since there’s a barrier between different land parcels.”

Looking down, the President then gazed at Amberser and said, “Don’t tell

you’ve gone through all this trouble just to tell

this. That’s not like you to be so reckless. Spit out your plan. After the transformation, I’ve grown tired of this tedious testing of each other.”

Amberser really wanted to say that his arrival here was completely accidental, but after considering for a mont, he instead replied, “The President’s patience has indeed decreased, but you’re as straightforward as ever. Yes, having co here, I’ve thought of how to resolve the issue. Lend

your magical power and let

cast the World Weaving Spell. That will rge the two pieces of land into one, and those Thrashtoads will then be like bones in a grave, easily beckoned to co over.”

Amberser was well aware of the magic array beneath Alchemy City, which, apart from turning the President into a Divine Artifact of limitless Wishing Spells, could also store a vast amount of magic power. This power was ant to drive the operation of the Magic Array for big data decryption of the Wishing Spell, granting access to the World Laws and fulfilling one’s desires.

It would be difficult for the remaining matter of Alchemy City to launch a second Wishing Spell, but if it were just to be converted into magic power, Amberser estimated that erasing half of the city would suffice to cast the World Weaving Spell.

Upon hearing this, the President gave a disdainful scoff, “World Weaving Spell? With you?”

In the President’s view, even if Amberser had gained that personal space capable of adjusting ti, he remained a lackluster Legendary figure. Not to ntion casting the World Weaving Spell, it would be a miracle if he could successfully cast a Starburst.

But the past was the past. Amberser was no longer lackluster; the Golden Throne greatly enhanced his spellcasting ability. He was just reluctant to consu too much of the Golden Throne. With the President’s magical support, Amberser could lower the casting cost to one percent.

Amberser confidently stated, “As an Alchemist, you wouldn’t understand Mage matters even if I explained them to you. In short, this is my plan. Do you agree or not? If not, I’ll head back to that swamp and capture a Thrashtoad to harshly interrogate, and force them to open the space passage to let

return. You can stay here and keep company with the ruins by yourself.”

The President really wanted to retort; although he was an Alchemist, his knowledge of spells was no less profound than that of Mages. He just lacked the innate spellcasting talent, but when it ca to knowledge, he was stronger than most Legendary Mages.

If this conversation had taken place earlier, had Amberser claid he could cast the World Weaving Spell, the President would have undoubtedly kicked him out without hesitation. No one born could deceive him.

But upon rational thought, the Lich’s sudden appearance here couldn’t possibly be just to waste his own magic power; such an act would be aningless. The World Weaving Spell must be real, it’s just that the Lich has concealed much information.

What exactly could it be? Could it be another conspiracy?

It’s not that the chairman is overly suspicious, but Amberser’s sudden appearance is too illogical.

“Tell , did you co here really to help

leave? What is your true purpose?” the chairman asked.

Amberser, however, said, “Leaving is impossible, Chairman. You must have guessed it by now, you were banished to this world by the Deities. They do not allow a Divine Artifact that can use the Wishing Spell without restriction to exist; it would plunge the entire world into endless Chaos, and the consumption of matter with each Wishing Spell would lead the world towards collapse.

“Even if I help you return to your original world, how long could you stay? Couldn’t they banish you a second ti?”

The chairman fell silent, Amberser’s words had struck a nerve.

In the end, he was just a mortal who dreamt of becoming a deity, who had achieved so minor success. Even if he were given an infinite amount of matter, and he made infinite wishes, it would be impossible to contend with the Deities, because the Wishing Spell has its limits, and it cannot affect the Deities much.

The chairman asked, “Then what is your purpose in coming to find ?”

“It’s simple; I’m here to help you achieve your dream. Chairman, you could even abandon your own kin, what else is there in that world worth your yearning? Your life’s wish is to transform yourself into a Deity, to prove that Alchemy is omnipotent, and haven’t you achieved that now?

“Even the Deities had to banish you, which shows that they acknowledge your power. Now that you’ve realized your wish, why bother obsessing about returning to the original world? If you stubbornly try to go back, the Deities might get annoyed and join forces to finish you off. If they erase your existence, a few hundred years later, no one will know there was a genius nad Garey Woz who challenged the Deities and succeeded.”

The chairman listened to Amberser’s words and fell into deep thought.

These words were indeed persuasive; the chairman was not so arrogant as to think he could challenge the real Deities, especially potent ones like the master of knowledge.

“What exactly do you want to do? I don’t understand,” the chairman asked curiously.

He had already believed Amberser’s earlier words, and for the mont had dismissed the thought of returning to the original world.

Amberser chuckled and then said, “It’s simple. You’ve already beco a deity; it doesn’t matter where you live. Look at this expanse of Chaos space, all of which is filled with beings banished by the Deities. Aside from Thrashtoads, there should be other dangerous races here. Chairman, if all these fragnts could be connected, wouldn’t the resulting space be nearly as large as the original world, don’t you think?”

The chairman had an epiphany. Was Amberser suggesting he unite these shattered fragnts of Chaos lands into a new world?

This suggestion truly sparked interest in the chairman.

For a man who had achieved so much, ordinary goals held no allure.

But unifying this Chaos World and becoming the “Deity” of a new world did stir so excitent in the chairman.

As long as there were enough intelligent races, the chairman could entirely rebuild his Alchemist Council here, researching new forms of Alchemy. Perhaps one day, he could beco strong enough not to have to worry about the Deities and go wherever he pleased.

The chairman said to Amberser, “Alright, I understand your idea. If you aren’t deceiving , I will give you my full support.”

Amberser replied sincerely, “Of course. Why would I deceive you? I cannot take you back, so what would be the point of coming in here just to lie to you?”

“What’s your plan, then? What do you want to transform with the World Weaving Spell?” the chairman asked, curious.

With a mysterious air, Amberser said, “You’ll find out soon enough, I assure you it will be worth your while. Believe

or not, it’s your choice.”

This ti, the chairman did not hesitate because he had been captivated by the grand vision Amberser had painted for him; he too wished to beco the new deity of this Chaos World.

The already crumbling Alchemy City shook once more, pieces of brick and tile vanishing, matter being transford into imnse magical power.

A tentacle of the chairman coiled around Amberser, as this enormous magic power continued to pour into Amberser’s body.

Amberser, without any hesitation, summoned his Golden Throne, ready to execute the World Weaving Spell.
