Chapter 137: Chapter 127: Destined

The Cerberus Family could never have imagined that such an accident could arise from a sacrifice.

After Geronimo transford into a Half-Dragon, the once frail boy beca an unparalleled mighty warrior.

The well-trained servants and guards of the Cerberus Family couldn’t withstand a single move from Geronimo.

With a flap of his dragon wings, the gale could blow them off balance.

By the ti Geronimo reached their side, he only needed to give a light squeeze to crush their heads along with their helts.

It wasn’t just a boost in strength, the sharp-toothed mouths on Geronimo’s body were also powerful weapons. With a pounce on a person, these mouths would gobble up flesh and blood voraciously, even tallic armors couldn’t resist, as if they were indeed giant dragon’s mouths.

Geronimo vented his rage crazily.

“Hahaha! Die, all of you, die, you lowly ants!”

By now, Geronimo had completely altered his appearance, no longer resembling a human in any way.

He killed all the servants of the Cerberus Family, and the blood and flesh he devoured swiftly assimilated into his body. His original height of one ter fifty swiftly swelled to nearly two ters. His dragon wings behind him were even more exaggerated, stretching nearly ten ters wide when fully extended, and many fine dragon scales appeared, with curved horns sprouting even on his head.

The guards’ weapons could only spark off the dragon wings, utterly unable to breach the defense of the dragon scales, and then they were killed in despair by the Half-Dragon.

In the plaza, over a hundred fully-ard guards were killed and devoured by Geronimo, and the shadow of evil in the sky looked on with satisfaction.

It had been far too long, and the land had once again echoed with the true roar of dragons.

“Go, my child, tell the world that the dragons have returned.”

The voice of the Evil Dragon Goddess Tiamat echoed in the sky, startling the Cerberus Family hiding inside the castle.

A man draped in a dragon-patterned robe stood up, he was the family’s genius, the Evil Sorcerer Abraham Torres, who was only one step away from reaching Legendary Rank.

Evil Sorcerers are a very special profession that appears to be Spellcasters; however, the ability to cast spells doesn’t co from their wisdom, but from the gifts bestowed by the lords they worship.

Simply put—like a bootlicker.

In areas allied with the forces of evil such as the Fairy Wilderness, the Abyss of Hell, and the Evil God’s Divine Kingdom, many powerful beings reside. They all enjoy receiving offerings from other intelligent beings and becoming their lords.

This relationship is similar to that between deities and their followers. The difference is that the worshiped need not be deities, nor need they have the power of deities; they only need to be more powerful than those offering worship.

Such relationships also seldom evolve into religions because most sect leaders do not have their own doctrines, nor are they developing followers. They rely take a fancy to keeping so pets on a whim.

Evil Sorcerers are the pets of sect leaders, gaining power bestowed upon them through servile flattery. What’s more tragic is that Abraham Torres’s sect leader isn’t even the Evil Dragon Goddess Tiamat, but rather so obscure Devil from the first layer of Hell.

But Abraham Torres truly was a genius. Just a little boon from a Devil was enough to help him grow into a powerful Evil Sorcerer, bringing him to the threshold of becoming Legendary.

Then ca the continuous sacrifices by the Cerberus Family, which allowed Abraham Torres to completely break free from his original sect leader. Now was the ti for his transformation. Should he win the favor of the Evil Dragon Goddess Tiamat, his ascension to the Legendary Rank would be nearly guaranteed.

Who could have imagined that such a critical sacrifice would go awry?

What’s the deal with this Half-Dragon?

Upon hearing the loud noise from the sky, Abraham Torres imdiately transported himself to the bloody square.

Most of the Cerberus Family were already dead, their mangled corpses stacked by the Half-Dragon into a high tower. The Half-Dragon now sat atop the ghastly spire, looking down at Abraham Torres with a mocking gaze.

Abraham Torres did not imdiately attack, but instead bowed to the imnse shadow first.

“Great Evil Dragon Goddess, please allow your follower to raise a question—is this Half-Dragon before

your kin?”

Geronimo also looked up to the sky. He had been too preoccupied with his own exhilaration to notice where his strength had co from. Was it from the shadow above?

The shadow that Abraham Torres saw in his eyes was just a vague silhouette, but to Geronimo, it appeared as a colorful Giant Dragon with five heads.

Recalling his past experiences, Geronimo quickly knelt atop the pile of corpses, issuing a series of roars.

The draconic language passed down through generations in the Dragon Worship Sect, which Geronimo thought he had forgotten, was in truth etched deep within his Soul.

Abraham Torres frowned. The situation didn’t look right, and the losses of the Cerberus Family likely couldn’t be compensated. However, if this Half-Dragon was truly a kin of the Evil Dragon Goddess, he might accept it—after all, he seed to be a formidable fighter, almost like gaining an enforcer.

However, to Abraham Torres’s shock, the Evil Dragon Goddess laughed maniacally and issued a divine edict, “The two of you, begin your battle now. Whoever survives shall receive my blessing. A true Giant Dragon grows through slaughter. Do not disappoint .”

Geronimo, hearing this, was perplexed for a mont. Just as he started to grasp the aning of the Evil Dragon Goddess’s words, three streaks of crimson energy were already hurtling toward him.

Abraham Torres was much quicker to respond than Geronimo, without a hint of hesitation. With both hands, he gathered the crimson energy and launched it at the Half-Dragon.

This was the first Spell Evil Sorcerers mastered and their most essential one—Mana Burst.

The three bursts of Magic Energy exploded on the defenseless Geronimo, shattering his Dragon Scales and breaking most of his sharp teeth.

An Evil Sorcerer’s life is devoted to studying how to enhance the power of Mana Burst. Many of their advancent abilities focus on augnting its effects, including multiple casting, strong knock-back, additional enchantnts, and so on.

This trio of Mana Bursts represented the peak of Abraham Torres’ life, signifying the power that brought him halfway into the threshold of Legendary Rank.

Geronimo was blasted away, his flesh cracked open to reveal a skeletal fra that had already deford.

The Half-Dragon boy rolled and plumted to the ground, landing in front of slaves who had not yet died.

The previous bloody ritual had been interrupted by Geronimo, who then focused solely on slaughtering mbers of the Cerberus Family, so quite a few slaves were fortunate to survive.

Seeing Geronimo grievously wounded on the ground, several slaves walked over with heavy hearts, hoping to help this “hero.”

If Geronimo died as well, they would have no hope of survival.

However, they didn’t expect that just as they got close, the severely injured Geronimo opened his dragon wings and wrapped them inside.

After a few screams, the dragon wings unfolded again, and Geronimo stood back up.

He still had several wounds deep enough to reveal bone, but compared to before, he had significantly healed.

At the Half-Dragon boy’s feet lay several mangled corpses, their mutilated forms resembling the aftermath of a wild beast’s frenzied feast.

Geronimo didn’t even glance at them, even though they had once been slaves captured by the Cerberus Family like himself; in Geronimo’s eyes, they were rely food that helped him recover.

Abraham Torres frowned at the scene, and the next Mana Burst descended upon the surviving slaves.

He didn’t want to fight an endlessly regenerating monster, so he had to obliterate all of his “healing potions” first.

The Mana Burst exploded among the slaves, corroding their flesh and wearing away their souls, killing many of the pitiful slaves.

Geronimo roared and flapped his wings, flying straight towards Abraham Torres.

Abraham Torres gathered another Mana Burst, trying to take down the Half-Dragon, but his attempts were agilely dodged several tis.

A Spellcaster’s Flight Spell couldn’t possibly match the agility and speed of dragon wings, even if Abraham Torres was retreating with all his might, but Geronimo still caught up with him.

They were inches apart, yet Abraham Torres showed no sign of panic.

He had known all along that Geronimo would try everything to get close to him; at this distance, the Mana Burst wouldn’t miss anymore.

The pre-gathered magical power burst instantly, and the power of the three Mana Bursts hit at close range.

One of Geronimo’s dragon wings was utterly blasted to pieces, and the impact of the Mana Burst blew the wing away.

Although he had seriously wounded Geronimo, Abraham Torres’ face changed drastically, for he shockingly found that the dragon wing had been severed from Geronimo’s body before being blasted away.

The Half-Dragon had abandoned his own wing in advance!

Sohow, he had severed the wing from its base, and now the force of the Mana Burst was fully absorbed by the dragon wing. The wing was blown away, but Geronimo used the remaining montum to rush in front of Abraham Torres.

Sharp claws were already gripping Abraham Torres’ shoulders, the talons in his palms ripping through his mage robes, ferociously devouring Abraham Torres’ flesh.

The excruciating pain in his shoulders caused Abraham Torres to lose his composure; he struggled to cast a spell, but couldn’t focus, and in that half-second of hesitation, Geronimo opened his original mouth and bit down on his neck.

Just like a true Giant Dragon, he used his claws and teeth to tear apart his enemy and devour their flesh.

The magic-rich blood of Abraham Torres poured down Geronimo’s throat, allowing his injuries to heal again, and the severed dragon wing began to regrow.

Abraham Torres wanted to resist, but to his horror, he found his body was completely paralyzed.

The Half-Dragon’s teeth seed to carry a potent venom, paralyzing him the mont it drew blood.

As they fell from the sky, Abraham Torres was used like a stepping stone by Geronimo, who ruthlessly smashed him into the ground, the powerful impact breaking many of his bones.

He had made a wrong move, believing he held a sure victory, so he hadn’t even raised his Mage Shield, focusing only on luring the Half-Dragon close to inflict grave injury—yet he was the one who ended up gravely wounded.

Why did this happen?

Abraham Torres could not accept it, knowing he had many ways to deal with the Half-Dragon, but now he couldn’t move a finger and lay on the ground, allowing the other to devour his flesh.

It shouldn’t have been like this; in the past, he had always been cautious. How could a Spellcaster fight this monster in such a risky way?

“No, I am about to beco Legendary, I am the hope of my family, I shouldn’t die like this.”

In the monts before his death, Abraham Torres saw the smiling shadow of the Evil God in the sky.

Abraham Torres suddenly gave up struggling, understanding everything.

The true Giant Dragon must grow through slaughter. It was the Evil Dragon Goddess who stirred up his fervor, causing him to lose the caution a Spellcaster should have had. It turned out that from the beginning, he was just food for this Half-Dragon, rely allowed to struggle for a while so that the Half-Dragon could learn to hunt.

The fate of everything was sealed at the mont of the Half-Dragon’s birth.

Crows still circled overhead, evidently eager for a feast, only this ti what they would devour was the flesh of the Cerberus Family.
