He hadn’t anticipated that the Daoist Sect would take such a drastic asure, potentially ruining all his intricate plans in an instant.

With this in mind, Golden Light Master steeled his heart, composed himself, and stepped into the grand hall.

Passing through the vermilion and gold-decorated doors, he heard the Emperor’s furious voice reverberating inside before seeing anyone.

"Incompetents, a bunch of incompetents, unable to even diagnose a minor ailnt. What use do I have for you fools?"

The floor of the grand hall was densely filled with kneeling figures, all renowned Imperial Physicians; outside they would hold their noses high in the air.

Yet now, they could only kneel timidly, not daring to lift their heads, their robes soaked with sweat, and none dared to make a single move.

As for this aged monarch, they knew all too well; his mood today was evidently off. A careless mistake could an losing their heads.

However submissive these individuals appeared, they couldn’t soothe the old Emperor’s irritation. His eyes had turned a fierce red, as if eager to comnce a massacre.

"Why the silence, have you all gone mute? Aren’t you each self-proclaid divine doctors? Is the Emperor spending a fortune annually just to sustain this bunch of incompetents?" His speech was extrely discourteous, tearing the dignity of these Imperial Physicians to shreds and then stomping on it several tis.

But no one dared to counter the old Emperor, after all, no one wished to court death.

Seeing everyone’s silence, the Emperor didn’t calm down but grew more irritable, and he shouted loudly, "Since you are all useless, then you have no value in this world. Guards, take these fools out and behead them!"

At the Emperor’s command, the guards imdiately unsheathed their Treasure Blades, a fleeting flash of cold light disappearing within the hall, and the people hastily cried out, "Your Majesty, spare us, please spare us!"

Only when the sharp blades touched their necks did they break their silence, begging for rcy.

"Then tell , what exactly is wrong with my body?"

At that mont, the Emperor had beco sowhat neurotic, his eyes full of blood vessels, staring intensely at the kneeling Imperial Physicians like an angry lion, his eyes revealing a chilling murderous intent.

This was an old Emperor, and indeed, a tyrant, making serving him akin to accompanying a tiger—this was the cruel reality.

"Your Majesty, it’s not that we haven’t tried our best, but there really seems to be nothing wrong with Your Majesty’s body. As for this irritability, we really can’t explain it," a relatively young Imperial Physician said with bravery.

Everyone held their breath and focused, knowing that the mont that would decide their fate had arrived.

Yet how could such a response satisfy the enraged monarch? He felt that these kneeling individuals were all deceitful and should be put to death.

"Since they are useless, they are of no value to keep. Take them out and behead them instead."

At these words, everyone imdiately burst into tears, the taste of life and death being controlled by others was not at all pleasant.

"Your Majesty, please have rcy on us, in acknowledgnt of our always diligent service, spare us this once," the Imperial Physicians hastily kowtowed and begged for rcy, and within monts, these usually dignified physicians had their foreheads covered in blood, looking utterly desolate.

"Stop babbling, drag them out now!"

At the Emperor’s command, the surrounding palace guards began to act, dragging the Imperial Physicians towards the exit of the hall.

"Your Majesty, spare our lives! Spare our lives, Your Majesty!" The mournful pleas reverberated incessantly throughout the grand hall, further aggravating the old Emperor’s already restless mind, causing him to clutch his heart and lean on the table with one hand.

"Hold!" A compassionate voice rang out as Golden Light Master slowly entered the hall and respectfully bowed to the Emperor.

"Your Majesty, in Buddhism’s rcy, I hope you could spare these people. It’s normal that they couldn’t find the cause." Golden Light Master spoke calmly.

Seeing Golden Light Master, the old Emperor’s face montarily cald before he said, "Mage indeed has a heart full of compassion. Since you plead on their behalf, I will give you face and let these incompetents return."

Upon hearing the Emperor’s words, the guards released the Imperial Physicians, who had narrowly escaped death. They all knelt and wept bitterly, thankful for the Emperor’s rcy and Golden Light Master’s compassion.

The old Emperor, uninterested in dealing with them, rely waved his hand lightly, "Dismissed!"

At these words, the attendees, as if pardoned, left hastily, and the hall once again beca tranquil after a long absence.

The Emperor, suppressing the turbulent emotions within him, endeavored to calm himself before asking, "Does the Mage know the cause?"

He knew that Golden Light Master, being a practitioner of cultivation, knew so secrets unknown to himself.

Golden Light Master nodded and then slowly said, "Soone has disrupted the dynasty’s fate. Your Majesty bears the hope of The Common People, with fate itself aligning with you, which is why you feel such agitation."

"Who dares disrupt the fate of my dynasty!" The old Emperor’s eyes widened, as he realized that this issue was far more serious than he had imagined.

Golden Light Master then sighed and said, "The fate of a dynasty is no small matter. Since the Human Clan’s ancestors set up the great formation, the power of fate has grown over ti, already comparable to a Divine Artifact. Disrupting such fate is not easy."

"It requires not only a high Cultivation Level but also a certain connection with the dynasty to deceive fate. Only the people from the Daoist Sect could achieve this."

Upon hearing this, a glint of cold light flashed in the old Emperor’s eyes, and he suddenly burst into laughter, "Daoist Sect, ah, what a Daoist Sect! They really consider Great Ning as their own possession. I rely showed signs of wanting to be free from them, and they played such a hand. What a good tactic, indeed!"

The old Emperor laughed out of sheer fury, his heart already brimming with a desire to seize and severely punish all mbers of the Daoist Sect.

"Summon soone, go to Qingning Temple and capture those rebels who disregard their sovereign!" the Emperor commanded furiously.

The Guard Commander approached, his face filled with shock, and asked, "Your Majesty, are you referring to the Qingning Temple in the Capital City?"

To know, this temple was established at the founding of Great Ning, symbolizing the nation from its inception. Throughout history, all State Preceptors ca from this place, and in the hearts of many citizens, this was regarded as a sacred site, with countless people coming to visit daily.

Yet now, the Emperor was ordering a raid on Qingning Temple, a decree as shocking as a bolt from the blue, leaving the Guard Commander feeling as if he must have misheard, prompting his question.
