He wanted to gather intelligence, but having caused his own disturbance, most people within the Buddhist Sect now had steadfast wills, making it hard to find any cracks in their spirits.
Thus, he was currently in the dark, unaware of the Buddhist Sect’s true plans.
But a warning from his soul was telling him the Buddhist Sect was on the move.
"I can’t just sit here waiting to die," Demon King Mara muttered to himself.
Looking around, he saw the dense crowd of Demon Heads gathered around him and made up his mind.
A massive demonic disaster began sweeping across the Xiniu Continent, and this ti Demon King Mara didn’t hold back, choosing to go all out driven by a strong sense of crisis.
He decided to have a decisive battle with the Buddhist Sect.
Countless Demon Heads, like a cloud dark enough to shroud Heaven and Earth, grandly advanced towards Mount Ling, splitting the entire sky into two separate worlds.
When the beings residing in the Xiniu Continent witnessed this scene, they all scurried to hide.
The demonic disaster had been raging for so ti, and people were gradually adapting to this new life, organizing their responses accordingly.
However, this ti the demonic disaster did not target them. For Demon King Mara, these people were just insignificant characters; his real opponents were the Buddha and Bodhisattvas residing on Mount Ling.
If he could infect Mount Ling, he would beco the true ruler of this land.
The dark clouds moved towards the West, directly targeting the sacred Buddhist site of Mount Ling.
Countless believers and monks witnessed this shocking spectacle, their hearts wrenchingly pulled tight—Mount Ling was their faith. Although they firmly believed the Buddhist Sect would eventually prevail, after all, this was Demon King Mara.
A character who once blocked Buddha, the true Demon King, had previously turned Mount Ling into a place of unrest with his re presence. Now, gathering so many Demon Heads, could Mount Ling really withstand it?
No one dared to guarantee it, but everyone was well aware that this battle between the two powers was no longer sothing minor characters like themselves could interfere with.
The dark clouds obscured the sky, and the dizzying voices of the Demon Heads echoed in the heavens.
The disciples of the Buddhist Sect who were still in seclusion on Mount Ling instantly noticed their movents and awoke from their ditation, casting their eyes towards the dark cloud in the sky.
That was a mass of countless Demon Heads.
"Indeed, it is the source of sin!" an old monk sighed.
He could clearly feel the terrible malice emanating from those Demon Heads, the most corrupt beings in the world. Their keen senses made them feel nauseated at just one glance.
The overwhelming dark clouds approached Mount Ling, and the Demon Heads cleared a path. Demon King Mara sat on his demonic throne, gazing at Mount Ling with an indifferent look.
"Amitabha Buddha, Demon King Mara, long ti no see!" a majestic voice resounded through Mount Ling, and endless Buddha’s Light shone from the summit, where a huge Buddha stood towering, his large belly capable of tolerating all, always smiling—it was Maitreya Buddha Ancestor, the current master of Mount Ling.
Upon hearing this, Demon King Mara displayed a mocking smile and said, "Oh bald monk, why bother with such words? You know very well what kind of being I am. Let tell you the truth, I’ve co to Mount Ling in person to flatten this place. If you’re wise, you’ll leave Mount Ling to , and I’ll let your Buddhist Sect keep a shred of existence. Otherwise, I’ll wipe out all life here today."
Demon King Mara’s voice echoed around Mount Ling, carrying a chilling power that made everyone feel an unprecedented pressure.
"The Demon Head is indeed shaless, how dare you run wild in the sacred site of the Buddhist Sect!"
The Four Heavenly Kings appeared, leading a group. They radiated strong Buddha’s Light all over their bodies, and behind their heads shone the rit Gold Wheel brilliantly.
Wisdom Heart, Joyful Heart, Pure Heart, and Brave Heart. In that instant, everyone seed to see four types of human hearts, which imdiately dispelled the fear in their hearts.
Their voices bood like a great bell, echoing in all directions, carrying the power to subdue demons and vanquish evil.
The Demon Heads also felt this power, which made them incredibly agitated; they felt as if they were facing their natural enemy.
"Hmph!" Mara let out a cold snort, suppressing the power of the Four Heavenly Kings.
"Since that’s the case, let’s see the truth under our hands. It’s also ti for to take a seat on Mount Ling’s throne," Mara said with a sinister smile.
With that said, countless Demon Heads surged towards Mount Ling like a tidal wave.
"Amitabha Buddha!" Maitreya softly exclaid.
Suddenly, a golden barrier rose above Mount Ling, protecting it within. Countless chants resonated between Heaven and Earth, clashing with the mournful screams of the Demon Heads.
At this mont, Mount Ling seed to grow taller; the Golden Buddha’s Light enshrouding Mount Ling suddenly appeared in the eyes of all living beings in Xiniu Continent, and also attracted the attention of countless throughout the Three Realms.
"Amitabha Buddha, the Buddha is rciful!" All the followers of the Buddhist Sect began to pray devoutly, endless faith started converging toward Mount Ling. At this mont, Mount Ling finally revealed its fangs.
The sacred site, painstakingly maintained by the Buddhist Sect for many years, once again blossod with its own brilliance.
However, all these tactics were still within Mara’s expectations and were not the source of his sense of crisis. He was still waiting, waiting for the Buddhist Sect’s backup plan, to understand the true source of his unrest.
Endless Demon Heads transford into wave after wave of towering waves, rushing towards Mount Ling and fiercely hitting the golden barrier, causing the entire mountain to tremble.
"Bring out whatever tricks you have!" Mara laughed arrogantly.
Under his command, the Demon Heads fearlessly charged toward Mount Ling, the golden barrier wobbling and seeming like it could shatter at any mont.
Just then, Mara felt an unprecedented pressure, as if a terrifying power had set its sights on him. He instinctively left his throne and flew towards the sky.
Suddenly, many cannons appeared on Mount Ling, their dark muzzles aid directly at the surging Demon Heads, with dazzling light already appearing at the muzzles.
"Cannons!" Mara imdiately recognized this godly weapon, which had spread its fa throughout the Three Realms recently with the great battle between the Heavenly Court and the Demon Clan. It was a weapon capable of changing the course of wars.
However, Mara had never imagined that the Buddhist Sect had managed to silently acquire so many cannons; he finally understood the source of his recent unease.
Truth be told, Mara was not afraid of the cannons; although formidable, they were not lethal to a powerhouse of the Three Realms like him. However, for the endless Demon Heads, this was a disaster.
Especially the current Demon Heads, skilled in manipulating minds and guiding emotions, were inherently fragile. Now facing the imnsely powerful cannons, how could they possibly escape unhard?
"Who exactly provided the cannons to the Buddhist Sect?" Mara wondered internally.
