As soon as the voice faded, several dazzling Buddha’s Lights descended onto Mount Ling, and astonishingly, the Four Great Bodhisattvas had all arrived at Mount Ling.

Guanyin, Samantabhadra, Manjushri, and Kṣitigarbha had personally arrived at Mount Ling, and the dazzling Buddha’s Light instantly draped the entire Mount Ling in a layer of gold.

Although these four Bodhisattvas held the Bodhisattva Fruit Position, their actual strength was far more formidable than so Buddhas.

Moreover, each of them possessed unique skills, and now that they had personally co to Mount Ling, it imdiately made everyone breathe a sigh of relief.

Marx furrowed his brows as he looked at the Four Great Bodhisattvas — each of them was not an easy adversary, especially Kṣitigarbha, whose mind was as tough as steel from his years guarding Hell, impervious to any external influences Marx could feel.

At this mont, he also realized that it was indeed ti for him to leave. The Buddhist Sect, after such a long period of developnt, was not sothing that could be completely dissolved overnight.

"No wonder the Supre had the courage to collaborate with — he was certain I couldn’t destroy the Buddhist Sect but rely used to weaken it," Marx thought to himself.

However, he did not particularly care about the Jade Emperor’s intentions; after all, without the help of this Master of the Three Realms, he would have been unable to break the seal and see the light of day again — he held no trust for him; it was rely a matter of mutual necessity.

"Demon King Marx, you have disturbed Mount Ling; yet you refuse to surrender!" said Guanyin softly.

Marx, however, with an defiant expression, said, "I am Marx. Do you take for a common Demon Head? You aren’t qualified enough to make surrender."

As soon as his voice faded, Kṣitigarbha, who had remained silent, made the first move. A Mingyue brightened behind his head, chanting, "Hell is not empty, I swear not to beco a Buddha; all living beings are exhausted, then the Bodhi shall be manifested."

The enlightening light shone on the Demon Head, awakening the latent conscience deep within his heart.

"Bodhisattva, save !" soone cried out loudly.

No one wanted to be transford into a Demon Head that only knew slaughter and the venting of desires. Now, given a chance for redemption, it beca a life-saving straw to grasp firmly.

This was the light of enlightennt, as well as the light of redemption — a brilliant light that even Marx couldn’t help but glance at sideways.

"Impressive, I did not expect the Buddhist Sect to have such a character," Marx exclaid in admiration.

Kṣitigarbha, without saying a word, struck fiercely, hitting him right where it hurt. Marx, cunning and full of tricks, imdiately realized that his situation was very grim.

He had originally thought that without Tathagata, Mount Ling would be like at on a chopping board, ready for him to slaughter at will. Who could have thought it would turn out to be such a tough bone he couldn’t chew through.

anwhile, Manjushri Samantabhadra Guanyin also made their moves, their radiant mana instantly rushing into the Demon Head group.

In just an instant, countless Demon Heads were severely injured.

Seeing this, Marx no longer lingered, gathering countless Demon Heads he attempted to flee into the sky.

"Think you can escape? No chance!" Maitreya said softly.

The Human-race bag in his hand flew into the sky and actually swept countless Demon Heads into the bag.

"That’s not for you to decide," Marx said with a smirk, unconcerned about the Demon Heads that had been captured into the Human-race bag. Such Demon Heads could be recreated by him in a short ti if he wished, as long as the core few were still there.

He was unwilling to delay any further, especially with the Four Great Bodhisattvas and several Ancient Buddhas eyeing him with hostility, and from afar, even Ascetic Monks were hastening towards Mount Ling.

Enveloped in demonic aura that transford into a giant, he threw a punch towards the sky, instantly causing the entire Mount Ling to start shaking.

"You!" Everyone understood that Marx intended to destroy Mount Ling.

Originally, Mount Ling was a sacred site of the Buddhist Sect, blessed with countless formations and runes for many years, having already beco a Divine Mountain.

However, Marx corrupted many disciples of the Buddhist Sect and, from their mories, learned the specific details of Mount Ling’s formations and runes, knowing the modern Buddhist Sect like the back of his hand.

Even Maitreya might not match him, after all, these formations and runes were usually maintained by Juexing and Hui Tong, who, despite their high mana, lacked Bodhisattva Fruit Position.

Now, this knowledge belonged to Marx, and every Demon Head was essentially an extension of Marx, so he could see everything in their minds.

At this mont, Marx wanted the Buddhist Sect to make a choice: either protect Mount Ling or continue fighting him.

It must be said, Marx’s strategy truly targeted the Buddhist Sect’s weakness. Mount Ling was a symbol of the Buddhist Sect, irreplaceable in the eyes of Buddhist followers.

If Mount Ling were destroyed, it could likely cause severe spiritual distress to so followers. If it were under normal circumstances, it wouldn’t be a great problem; the Buddhist Sect could subtly and gradually settle things. But there was still a Demon King nacingly close at hand.

If such a situation were to arise, just a re thought from Marx might cause a disaster of demons upon the earth.

Thus, the Buddhas had no choice but to cease their combat and begin stabilizing Mount Ling, which eventually steadied under their efforts.

But this gave Marx a chance to significantly lessen the pressure on himself. Using this opportunity, he drained all of his demons, swiftly broke through the encirclent, and in the blink of an eye, vanished without a trace.

"Chase him, don’t let him escape!" a Buddha shouted loudly.

The threat of Marx was sothing the people of Mount Ling had all witnessed today. Allowing such a formidable enemy of the Buddhist Sect to roam free outside Mount Ling was nothing short of a disaster for the Buddhist Sect.

"Don’t chase him, it’s pointless now," Maitreya’s voice ca from the sky, carrying a deep exhaustion.

This series of events had overwheld him, facing such an opponent upon his initial ascension to the Tathagata Buddha’s throne was undoubtedly a severe blow to the always proud Maitreya.

Fortunately, his resolve was firm, and it would not waver his Daoist Heart, otherwise, he could have been exploited by Marx.

"Tathagata Buddha?"

"Don’t chase a desperate enemy. Without the grand formation of Mount Ling, we can’t hold him," Maitreya sighed.

"Damn it!"

Expressions of frustration filled everyone’s faces. The Buddhist Sect had always been one of the top forces in the Three Realms. For countless years, they had seen the prosperity of the Buddhist Sect and had never faced a situation like today.

This made these always proud disciples of the Buddhist Sect feel humiliated.

"Amitabha Buddha, to be disheartened now, not knowing that once the Buddhist Sect nearly perished. If it weren’t for Tathagata Buddha erging, and the predecessors of the Buddhist Sect devoting their hearts and souls, how could there be the prosperity of today? The entanglent of karmic cause and effect with Marx is not so easy to handle. This is a tribulation for the Buddhist Sect, and also an opportunity for us all."

"To pass through ans the Buddhist Sect thrives in the world; if not passed, the Buddhist Sect will thus decline."

Following the direction of the voice, there was an old monk dressed in tattered kasaya, barefoot, holding a wooden staff, with snow-white eyebrows and an aged face, yet exuding an indescribable and remarkable aura that commanded respect.
