Gurgle...

Yamakou Hideyasu swallowed hard, his gaze vacant as he stared straight at his phone.

As ntioned before, this was a staff number, used to send out so internal staff ssages.

Basically, no one would be so despicable as to use a work number to play such a prank.

Following the logic that "the video couldn’t be photoshopped, so it must be real," Yamakou Hideyasu concluded that what the other party said was true.

And then, considering the eerie timing of the ssage—an hour’s worth of texts, just now being received...

Yamakou Hideyasu felt his scalp tingle and his body stiffen.

If the fourth set of footsteps wasn’t a staff mber, then what was it?

Since the live broadcast stream had been cut off, who or what had he been interacting with just a mont ago?

Yamakou Hideyasu was only now realizing the gravity of the situation.

The two sets of footsteps behind him were heavy, definitely not sothing any of the few staff mbers he knew could produce.

Including Beichuan Si... Since when did he make such loud noises?

That’s just how people are.

When faced with an unknown entity, fear gradually takes hold, and every little noise acts like a catalyst for terror, making Yamakou Hideyasu feel weaker by the minute.

Fear was sown, and ready to sprout...

Yet, at that very mont, Tanaka Takashi provided an unwitting cue: "Hideyasu, why do you keep bumping into ? What’s going on?"

Bumping into you?

Yamakou Hideyasu’s face twisted into a tearful expression.

I’m about to cry, okay?!

But at this ti, to prevent the unknown entity behind him from noticing anything amiss, he had no choice but to divert the conversation: "Don’t worry about that now, Takashi, we need to hurry up and investigate; once we’re done, it’s almost ti to leave."

He tried to maintain an even tone and keep his steps steady.

It must be said that Yamakou Hideyasu was quite brave; most people in his shoes would probably be scared witless, yet he managed to maintain a tone indistinguishable from any other day.

"Hm?" Takashi seed confused.

What’s happening? Isn’t this when Yamakou Hideyasu should play along, and then reveal the existence of the fourth person?

Confusion spread across Takashi’s face, prompting him to speak up again: "Hideyasu, don’t you feel sothing’s off?"

Upon hearing this, Yamakou Hideyasu almost fell into a stupor. His mouth opened, then closed again, wishing he could slap his partner twice to silence him.

I’ve noticed it! Sothing is definitely off! We indeed have an extra "person"! Can you please stop asking?!

During normal tis, he would have praised Takashi for picking up the conversation smoothly, but today was not the day for praise; if this kept up, sothing bad was bound to happen.

Yamakou Hideyasu’s sweat slid down his temple, a detail that Takashi happened to notice. He cried out in surprise: "What’s wrong with you, Hideyasu?!"

Was Yamakou Hideyasu too committed to his craft? He even managed to convey a sense of oppression. The twisted and distorted look of fear on his face made Takashi’s own heart chill, as if so terrifying monster was truly following behind them.

Just as Takashi thought about learning from Yamakou Hideyasu’s dedication, Yamakou Hideyasu let out a terrified scream and violently threw him to the ground at the entrance of the stairwell!

"What are you doing, Hideyasu?" Tanaka was about to complain when he caught sight of a shadow with oozing black pus dripping by his head, wielding a bloody fire axe.

The shadow was forcefully pulling the fire axe stuck in the door, a sight so terrifying it nearly stopped Takashi’s heart.

Aside from the axe-wielding figure, there stood another being with a bizarre, twisted shape beside him.

The aberrantly twisted figure stepped out with a pat-patting sound.

It was only then that Yamakou Hideyasu and Tanaka Takashi saw the veritably horrifying scene in front of them.

It turned out it wasn’t that the figure’s body was peculiarly hunched—it simply didn’t have a head. Its torso appeared to have been smashed with a blunt object, horribly battered. The pale arms were twisted unnaturally, and the legs were bent awkwardly.

It staggered along, far more eerie and terrifying than the fire axe-wielding shadow!

Seeing this scene, Tanaka Takashi blinked in confusion:

"What’s going on... Where’s Mr. Beichuan? We didn’t hire two actors to play ghosts, did we?"

"Acting my ass! Those are real!" Yamakou Hideyasu exclaid in terror, gasping for air and forcefully pulling Tanaka Takashi as they leaped back.

"Huh? Hideyasu, are you taking this too seriously..."

Bang!!!!

Tanaka Takashi was interrupted.

The fire axe showed no rcy as it almost grazed his head while chopping through the air.

Had the axe struck...

Tanaka Takashi and Yamakou Hideyasu violently sprang up from the ground.

In tis like this, there was no need for words.

They just had to run. That was it.

As for Beichuan Si?

They hoped God would look after him.

The two n ran desperately, but soon another desperate situation arose.

They had co up from the entrance on the right, and the entrance on the left was blocked with tables and chairs—in such circumstances, it was impossible to clear the clutter and escape!

The hallway wasn’t very long, and the terrifying figures behind them were rapidly closing the distance, their footsteps heavy and hurried. Tanaka Takashi and Yamakou Hideyasu were feeling a sense of despair.

One wielded an axe shining with a cold light; the other had dark nails as long and sharp as scissors.

And just as these two ghostly figures advanced, another figure enveloped in black miasma suddenly swooped out from a dance studio on one side.

Another one?!

Yamakou Hideyasu, already set on a desperate fight, grabbed a bench from the entrance of the hallway and smashed it towards the newcor’s head without a second thought—

And then...

Yamakou Hideyasu and Tanaka Takashi, who had pounced forward, were promptly knocked out by the figure shrouded in black mist right where they stood.

"..." Beichuan Si.

The black mist dissipated, revealing the face of Beichuan Si, who rubbed his brow and shook his head as he looked down at the two unconscious n on the ground.

These two were extraordinary at betraying their teammates, setting up various small traps and props along the way, and now they were going all out to hit him.

If an ordinary person had taken those two blows from them, they’d be looking at a few months in the hospital at least.

"But they do have so guts," Beichuan Si noted, nodding expressionlessly.

Originally, he thought these two were just scamrs chasing clout, but when facing life and death, they could still muster the courage to fight the bizarre.

That was already quite comndable.

Worried that he wouldn’t be able to look after Nishijou Kurenai during the fight later, Beichuan Si placed her on Tanaka Takashi’s chest.

Nishijou Kurenai initially clung to his sleeve, unwilling to let go until she saw Beichuan Si’s resolute gaze and finally released her hold reluctantly.

After completing these actions, Beichuan Si turned around.

Two vengeful spirits were now standing face to face with him.

The distance was barely a ter!

Nakajima, with a gaping black hole in his head.

Suzuki, cleaved and smashed, his body in an irregular shape.

Beichuan Si narrowed his eyes, surrounded by an aura of death, and stepped forward boldly!

Charging ahead without showing any sign of fear!
