"I know you trust ," Beichuan Si began without expression, "but can you not use that term?"

"That term?" Initially lost in self-admiration, Qiuxiao Yunai was caught off guard by Beichuan Si’s interruption, and her expression shifted to one of confusion.

It must be said that this kind of religiously active young girl didn’t realize how ridiculous so of her statents sounded.

"I believe in my God." Qiuxiao Yunai was the only girl Beichuan Si knew who would utter such phrases, even Beichuan Hui Li had outgrown that adolescent phase.

Moreover, Beichuan Si didn’t think the term "Beichuan God" was sothing a normal young girl would co up with.

"Then, I’ll leave you to chat with Mirai."

After all, he was just the facilitator; the specific operations would have to be handled by Qiuxiao Yunai and Shen Gu Mirai.

He thought he was about to achieve fa and success when suddenly, a small hand clutched at his sleeve.

Nanami Qiao opened her eyes, which were so pitiable they invited affection, "Brother Beichuan, there’s sothing I absolutely must ask of you."

Her tone was earnest, causing both Shen Gu Mirai and Qiuxiao Yunai to inadvertently turn their gaze toward her.

"What is it?" Beichuan Si was rather kind toward the little girl; after all, if it weren’t for her giving him a hint, he probably wouldn’t have thought to investigate the Ibaraki Prefecture Second ntal Hospital, nor would he have uncovered the ntal patients secretly killed by Suzuki Fumi.

Nanami Qiao’s face was taut as she glanced at Qiuxiao Yunai, "That matter... I’ve talked it over with Senior Yunai."

All eyes then turned to Qiuxiao Yunai.

"That matter...? Oh—right, that matter..." After pondering for a while, Qiuxiao Yunai’s face showed a sudden realization but then she appeared to be in so difficulty, "Although you did say that at the ti, Qiao Nai... I don’t think Mr. Beichuan can do that sort of thing."

"If it’s Brother Beichuan! I’m sure he can do it!"

Nanami Qiao stubbornly shook her head, speaking in her childlike voice.

One couldn’t help wondering where such confidence in Beichuan Si ca from. She was always so sure that Beichuan Si could make it happen, could succeed.

Beichuan Si didn’t interject; instead, he turned his gaze to Qiuxiao Yunai, signaling her to clarify the situation.

Under the gaze of Beichuan Si, Qiuxiao Yunai took a long breath and began to elaborate on the situation that followed their move.

In fact, Nanami Qiao had other hidden concerns when she ca to Tokyo. She had a friend who was hospitalized here, in an unending coma.

"Apparently it was a suicide attempt by slashing the wrist, but the household help discovered it early and rushed her to the hospital for ergency treatnt. She’s been comatose ever since. That’s a dical issue, so I don’t think Mr. Beichuan can help with that."

Qiuxiao Yunai spread her hands out, "I’ve also taken Qiao Nai to consult the doctor. It’s not just physical issues that Qiao Nai’s friend suffers from, the psychological issues are significant too. She seems to have been troubled by depression, which is the primary reason for her suicide attempt."

"She once secretly went to see a psychologist without telling her family... and also had..."

Qiuxiao Yunai glanced at Shen Gu Mirai, then at the innocent-faced Nanami Qiao, and waved her hand, "It’s a bit difficult to speak of this matter."

"Then let’s talk privately. Mirai, keep Qiao Nai company for a while." Beichuan Si didn’t care about the looks from Shen Gu Mirai and Nanami Qiao. He gestured to Qiuxiao Yunai to follow him with a glance.

The two walked outside the small estate, looking at the cold pines planted outside. Beichuan Si decisively asked, "What’s the matter that can’t be ntioned in front of Qiao Nai and Mirai?"

"Uh—I didn’t expect you, Mr. Beichuan, to be so forceful." Qiuxiao Yunai’s voice stalled before resigning to say, "It’s actually about that girl’s transactions at Yuanyuan."

Yuanyuan?

At the ntion of this, Beichuan Si furrowed his brows tightly, and quickly asked:

"How old is this girl? Is her family short on money?"

"How could they be short on money! An adult’s social circle influences the child’s social circle, just as the adult’s financial strength affects the child’s circle."

That made sense.

What Qiuxiao Yunai said had so truth to it.

Nanami Qiao’s father was a promising candidate for county mayor, and her social circle was definitely extraordinary. Plus, with her being so young, besides school, her social circle would only comprise her father’s connections.

But if money wasn’t an issue, why would she consider doing such a thing?

Beichuan Si wanted to hear Qiuxiao Yunai’s reasoning.

"I have no idea!" Qiuxiao Yunai seed indignant.

"Who knows what that girl was thinking to proactively get involved in such acts. You’ve heard what I said—her family employs helpers, she’s a regular at Ginza, and my parents know her father. It doesn’t look at all like her family is lacking money."

"And she’s an only child. Her father, as a political party leader, dotes on her; it’s unthinkable that she lacks spending money," Qiuxiao Yunai argued with conviction, her tone filled with confusion and bewildernt.

Who knew? A girl from such a well-off background thinking of getting involved in such things.

"Leader of the political party? Her father?" Beichuan Si found this increasingly absurd.

With such superior family conditions, they would typically value themselves even more.

Could it be that the girl was unruly to begin with, a bad girl with an undisciplined private life?
