After hearing these obviously mistaken words in the heat of the mont, Shen Gu Mirai’s mouth twitched.

But before she could take a stance, Beichuan Si raised his hand and smacked Beichuan Huili on the head.

Ouch!

Beichuan Huili covered her head with both hands, her mouth twisting.

"It’s okay, Mr. Temple, let’s hurry up and leave; this place isn’t safe to stay in any longer," Shen Gu Mirai suggested, pulling Beichuan Si.

"Okay," Beichuan Si responded and casually lifted Beichuan Huili out from behind the pulpit.

Aside from being overly shocked, Beichuan Huili did not have the small wounds all over her body that Beichuan Si found on Shen Gu Mirai.

From this, one could see that Shen Gu Mirai had indeed put a lot of thought into taking care of Beichuan Huili.

As Beichuan Si was contemplating, Shen Gu Mirai suddenly asked, "Mr. Temple, where exactly are we? As soon as Hui Li and I entered this mansion, we realized that the scenery outside seed a bit off, and we can’t get any cell phone signal."

That’s just the kind of girl she was; once she felt safe, she began thinking about things she didn’t understand.

Shen Gu Mirai had no recollection of this mansion suddenly appearing. Even the camping manual did not ntion there being a mansion-like structure here.

Moreover, the architecture was less Japanese-style... and more like that of a European relief center or orphanage.

The mansion was filled with crucifixes and images of Jesus Christ in agony, and the do was adorned with various religious paintings, which made thinking of it in religious terms quite reasonable.

"This is the spiritual realm," Beichuan Si explained: "A place nourished by the grudges of the dead, continuously fostering vengeful spirits. To put it in more understandable terms... this is the ’hidden world.’"

"Hidden world?" Shen Gu Mirai echoed the term.

Her extensive knowledge of folklore made her raise an eyebrow in intrigue.

In legends across Japan, this term is always ntioned.

’Hidden world’ refers to the realm of the dead.

Yellow Springs, the netherworld, the land of the dead...

These concepts had different nas in different places.

But basically, it’s a place close to ’death.’

And Beichuan Si said this was the hidden world...

"Don’t worry, I have a way to get out," Beichuan Si calmly replied.

The spiritual realm, resembling a relief center, was already indirectly affecting the real world, indicating that the vengeful spirits lurking within were definitely not entities to be trifled with.

Not to ntion Beichuan Si was with Shen Gu Mirai and Beichuan Huili.

He decided the next visit would include the Shinra Bell, Nishijou Kurenai, and various other items.

Then he’d consider how to proceed.

"Last ti at Yuchuan Elentary School, Brother Temple, you also went into a place like this, didn’t you? As expected, Brother Temple is super strong! Sister Mirai is amazing too!" Beichuan Huili, now relaxed, added.

She was just that kind of little girl, full of trust in Beichuan Si.

Even though they hadn’t escaped danger yet, she believed that with Beichuan Si’s abilities, they could easily leave this place.

The camping tents had been discarded by Shen Gu Mirai and Beichuan Huili.

It was said that as soon as Shen Gu Mirai sensed sothing was off about the surroundings, she had Beichuan Huili throw away the tent pack so the two could move more freely.

However, for Beichuan Si, the money for those few tents was trivial; the most important thing was their safety.

The money he had on hand was not an issue when it ca to a few tents.

The three of them went back to the relief center’s hall.

"Did you do this, Mr. Temple?" Shen Gu Mirai asked in surprise as she looked at the shattered pieces of the door on the ground, her mouth agape.

She and Beichuan Huili couldn’t open this door no matter what they tried, but it now appeared as if Beichuan Si had forcibly broken in from the outside.

"Let’s go outside," Beichuan Si replied, not addressing her question for the mont.

He had noticed that the building’s communication with the real world seed sowhat unstable.

What had happened?

Beichuan Si frowned, alertly scanning his surroundings.

But nothing attacked them as they left the building.

Outside the mansion, sunlight broke through the clouds, and the air was filled with a faint scent of damp earth, as if it had just cleared up after rain.

It was only when they stepped onto the soft, muddy ground and looked back that the entire mansion building had silently vanished.

"What exactly is this...?" Shen Gu Mirai stared at the dark woods behind her, her face showing disbelief.

But she was quite adaptable.

After all, encountering vengeful spirits was already a supernatural event, so the disappearance of the mansion was within reason.

However—

Shen Gu Mirai’s eyes flickered, and as she looked at Beichuan Si again, her face showed a strong sense of curiosity.

If it weren’t for Hui Li being right beside her, she probably would have gone up to Beichuan Si and loudly exclaid her curiosity.

What followed was sowhat beyond Beichuan Si’s expectations.

He thought that after this ordeal, both Beichuan Huili and Shen Gu Mirai would want to go ho and recuperate.

Instead, not only did Beichuan Huili not want to stay ho that day, but Shen Gu Mirai also quickly shook her head, saying she wanted to continue camping.

Beichuan Si was becoming increasingly puzzled about what these young girls were thinking.
