The next day, Beichuan Family.
Today, Qianye Yuki ca on her own to Beichuan’s house, receiving another treatnt for her leg.
She had already undergone three death-energy treatnts, and Qianye Yuki’s calf was slowly regaining health.
Beichuan Si also listened to Qianye Cang as he explained Qianye Yuki’s leg condition. Now, Qianye Yuki used a cane to slowly walk for several minutes each day. Although her movents were still a bit stiff, the progress was terrifyingly fast.
You see, previously, Qianye Yuki’s legs had no sensation at all, she couldn’t even feel her feet, let alone lift or move them.
After the treatnt, Beichuan Huili voluntarily ca down from upstairs and asked to go to the art studio with Qianye Yuki.
At that ti, Beichuan Si learned that Qianye Yuki owned real estate in Tokyo, seemingly a two-story Western-style house with an art studio inside. However, since she had been away for a long ti, the house had been left vacant, and now because of Beichuan Huili’s presence, she had once again hired people to clean up the mansion inside and out.
Normally, Qianye Yuki and Beichuan Huili stayed in the art studio together, painting, with Qianye occasionally giving her so guidance.
Only...
Why had Beichuan Huili suddenly beco so diligent? She even proactively requested Beichuan Si...
Beichuan Si took note of Beichuan Huili’s earnest attitude but did not say anything.
Being industrious was good, but he hoped that the girl wasn’t just experiencing a fleeting interest.
After the Qianye sisters took Beichuan Huili away, Beichuan Si finished cleaning up the dishes and decided to sit down to read "The Lost Yuchuan."
Yesterday, when he was seeing off Sakurai Saki, he had also asked her about the curse.
"On ’The Lost Yuchuan,’ the curse that was found..."
Beichuan Si flipped through the Chapters of "The Lost Yuchuan" and in the first volu ’Enter,’ he found the ntion of the curse.
As ntioned before, Seto Cheng used a first-person perspective combined with a reverse montage technique to introduce the characters in the story through various scenes.
The content of ’Enter’ recorded the main male character and his girlfriend researching after discovering their two friends had t untily deaths, and according to the rituals ntioned in their findings, they conducted a four-person hide-and-seek ga.
And the curse Sakurai Saki ntioned was on the last page of the first volu.
That section was thoughtfully highlighted by the editor in bold black font.
"Yuchuan oh Yuchuan, we have never forgotten you."
This volu also contained eerily terrifying content, as the main male character and the main female character uncovered secrets from the past while dealing with sudden attacks from child spirits.
In "The Lost Yuchuan," the child spirits used the length of ti, channeling their murderous grudge to enhance themselves. The longer the delay, the stronger they would beco. The only way to break the curse was a desperate attempt to enter the haunted Yuchuan Elentary School.
This volu was called ’Enter,’ where the main male and the main female characters desperately sought ways to break the curse, consulting monks and visiting various shrines to contain the bluish-purple curse, but to minimal effect. Eventually, they found a thod to erase the curse in the library of the real Yuchuan Elentary School. That was by winning the four-person hide-and-seek ga and escaping Yuchuan Elentary School.
Beichuan Si thought to himself.
But this conjecture undoubtedly conflicted with reality.
The four-person hide-and-seek ga in reality had to be conducted with a ritual before it would be cursed by Yuchuan Elentary School.
And those cursed were the targets of the child spirits’ attacks.
Yet Beichuan Si had already transferred all the curses from Sakura Miori and the others onto his own wrist yesterday, but he had not been attacked by anyone after sleeping through the night.
It may also have been because those child spirits knew that he was not an easy target, so they did not focus on him.
"Regardless, I need to be cautious going forward."
Beichuan Si took a sip of water and continued reading the content of the volu.
Beichuan Si noted down the location of the library at Yuchuan Elentary School described in the novel, as well as the specific thod of conducting the ritual. Just as he was about to turn to the next page—
The doorbell rang.
At the sa ti, a joyful voice ca from outside:
"Mr. Temple! Mr. Temple!"
Beichuan Si exhaled and, setting down his phone, opened the door.
Shen Gu Mirai had changed into a new outfit, a brown coat with a white lining, which complented her slightly grown-out hair, making her look youthful and pretty.
Upon seeing her, Beichuan Si asked, "Why do you ring the doorbell and knock when you have keys to my house?"
Uh...
Shen Gu Mirai blinked, grinned sheepishly, and said, "After all, this isn’t my house, Mr. Temple. It would be impolite to use the keys to open your door when you’re ho."
Her reasoning sounded plausible, but Beichuan Si knew well that this young girl wasn’t one to adhere to rules.
But he couldn’t be bothered with such matters. Since Shen Gu Mirai was here, he would just entertain her.
Beichuan Si welcod her inside. He intended to pour her tea, but to his surprise, Shen Gu Mirai poured a cup for herself with more skill than the host.
Beichuan Si gave her an extra glance and then resud flipping through "The Lost Yuchuan" on his phone.
"Mr. Temple, are you still researching the content of ’The Lost Yuchuan’?"
Shen Gu Mirai leaned in from the side.
Ignoring her affectionate gesture, Beichuan Si spoke, ""The Lost Yuchuan" indeed contains so very intriguing content. I’ve recently reached out to the author, Seto Cheng, hoping to et with him."
