Saint Jericho Amayel was crying, looking up at the sky.

He was tearing at his chest and head.

"Please... please. I want to be happy. Please."

Sobbing, he scread and collapsed to the ground.

He was breaking down.

Writhing in agony, he was gradually pulled into the darkness.

And then...

He completely vanished.

****

The two princesses sprang up from their beds at the sa ti.

Both were drenched in cold sweat.

"What... what is this?"

Ione stopped wiping the sweat off her brow and looked at the back of her hand.

The mark of Dulaney was shining.

They both imdiately realized it was not just a simple dream.

"Why would the Saint do this? Why?"

While Alne muttered, a mory flashed through both of their minds.

It was back when Ione was still not in her right mind.

A mory of Jericho holding Ione and crying.

"Being near will hurt Ione."

He looked down at her, asking her to marry him, with sad eyes.

A forced, sad smile, as if swallowing frustration and injustice, appeared.

"I'm sorry, Ione."

And the mont he held Ione and wept also ca to mind.

After reflecting on that mory for a mont, the two princesses got up simultaneously with pale faces.

They quickly changed clothes. Then, the two hurried outside.

"To the Mars Tower branch. Please depart imdiately!"

"As you command, Your Highness."

The limousine was summoned like a bullet, and it wasn't long before they arrived at the tower.

Getting out of the car, they were surrounded by a guard troop as they entered the tower, and despite the sudden visit, the Tower Master was called down imdiately.

"What brings you here?"

The flustered Tower Master, Uergen, ca rushing down as the two princesses bowed their heads cautiously.

"Forgive our rudeness for appearing without prior notice. However, there is soone we urgently need to et."

"Who do you wish to see?"

"Is Erfa here? We would like to et her."

"Erfa?"

"Yes. Just the three of us: Ione, Erfa, and myself."

"I'll call her right away. Would you mind waiting in the reception room?"

"Thank you."

The two princesses went to the reception room of the tower and quietly waited. Within five minutes, Erfa entered the room.

"Then, please have your discussion."

After the Tower Master bowed politely and closed the door, only the three won remained inside.

Erfa looked at the two princesses with a blank expression for a mont before bowing politely.

"Your Highness, I am Erfa, the witch of the tower."

In Erfa's eyes were wariness, fear, and a strange jealousy.

The two understood why she wore such an expression.

"Erfa, we ca to talk about the Saint."

Alne spoke first, causing Erfa's hands to start trembling.

"Is that why you ca? To tell to give up on the Saint? And that you two plan to monopolize him?"

Erfa bowed her head miserably.

"Right. I am being foolish. I was rejected in front of Ione. But even so, I will never give up. No matter what threats you pose, I will never abandon him."

At that, Ione stood up.

"You're misunderstanding."

"Then why else would you co to ?"

Ione tossed out a comnt carelessly.

"The Saint is going to die, Erfa."

That single statent changed the atmosphere.

"What?"

Ione pointed to the mark on the back of her hand.

"Dulaney showed us this morning. We saw the Saint struggling with pain until he finally broke down and was ruined."

Jealousy disappeared from Erfa's eyes.

So did the anger.

And the competitive spirit vanished completely.

Finally, Ione saw the look she wanted in her.

Desperation.

"Please sit down. This might take a while."

Ione quietly gestured to the opposite side of the reception room sofa where the two were sitting, and Erfa did not resist.

Erfa's eyes were trembling as she sat down.

"Please explain in detail."

Alne explained.

"Exactly as I said. We saw the Saint in agony, consud by darkness and disappearing. He seed to have lost his mind. He was pleading to be made happy."

Erfa's eyes trembled.

"Why? He is more faithful than anyone, a true apostle of the gods. He has saved many people, including us. Why him?"

Ione answered the question.

"It's just a guess. But there's one thing we suspect."

"What is it?"

"The Saint might have received a revelation to continue fighting evil. Dulaney showing us the Saint's plight might be proof of that. Even though he serves another deity, he'll be used in a way that fulfills Dulaney's will."

At that, Ione let out a bitter smile.

"That's how urgent the situation is. It's been 300 years since any saint, maiden, or hero was permitted among humanity like this. It's clear he wasn't sent just to heal and leave."

Before the empire was even ford.

It was said that finding saints, maidens, or heroes wasn't difficult.

The gods were also more direct in delivering their divine words, and their holy power and blessings were much stronger than today.

However, over 300 years, the pantheon of gods ceased granting humans saints, maidens, or heroes, and divine ssages beca rare, while miracles and holy power weakened significantly.

anwhile, the worshippers of evil gods and demon cults had steadily grown stronger over 300 years, to the point where they could infiltrate the imperial palace.

Humans might not know exactly what was happening in heaven and hell, but it was clear that the power of the pantheon had weakened and the forces of evil had strengthened.

In such circumstances.

It was the Saint who appeared and saved the empire.

As Ione said, it was clear he wasn't sent just to heal the sick.

"Destroying evil isn't just about physically beating it like the White Order does. He surely has a mission to continue saving the weak."

Alne continued.

"Moreover, he's a seer. It wouldn't be strange if he saw a future where the world falls into the hands of evil and decided to take on all the burdens alone to prevent it and save those suffering..."

Her voice trailed off.

All three won's faces were pale.

I hated it.

The idea of the Saint disappearing and breaking down was worse than death.

Erfa clasped her trembling hands tightly.

"That must be why you pushed away. You must have thought that I would get hurt if I stayed by your side because you have to fight evil beings."

It seed that Erfa was recalling the mont when the Saint had coldly rejected her.

What had until just now been a depressing mory had turned into one of anxiety and worry.

"What should we do? How can we prevent his future ruin?"

At that, Alne smiled wryly.

"It's simple. He just needs soone to open his heart to."

"Given his personality, he'd rather suffer alone! No matter what, he will never open up. He would rather die than see soone else suffer because of his mission."

She wasn't wrong.

Foolishly kind, neglecting himself, and willingly diving into danger to save others—that was the Saint Jericho Amayel they knew.

No matter how much they tried to approach him, he would definitely try to push them away, worrying they might get hurt.

No matter how much they persuaded or pleaded, he would never open his heart.

While suffering more than anyone inside, he was bound to act foolishly.

Erfa didn't know how to make the Saint open his heart, but Ione and Alne seed to know the answer, smirking mysteriously.

"Let's get him drunk."

Ione blurted out.

"And then make a move."

Erfa choked on her saliva and coughed.

"What, what!..."

"Considering the Saint's personality, he will never open up in ordinary ways. He'll never rely on anyone. So we think a sowhat extre thod is necessary now."

"The Saint loves you, Erfa. You might not know how sad he looked watching you leave after you were rejected."

Erfa was shocked.

"Really... did he really?"

"That was a look that could only co from love. It's clear. So you need to do it. Go and win his heart sohow. Comfort him. He's going to suffer in the future, so you need to be his support to prevent him from breaking."

"That's why I ca here. You can do it, Erfa."

Silence fell upon Erfa after the princesses, Ione and Alne, spoke.

After a long pause, she finally spoke.

"Why are you doing this for ? Didn't you two also love the Saint?"

The two princesses nodded.

"We love him. Love him to the point of stopping our breath."

"Honestly, we thought about getting rid of you so that just the two of us could have the Saint. But we couldn't do it."

"To be saved by the Saint and then prevent soone else who was equally saved from loving him... it seed too selfish."

"So go. Go and win the Saint's heart and make him happy. That's what we wish for."

The conversation ended.

Ione and Alne were smiling sadly, and Erfa was looking at them intently.

Erfa seed to be thinking.

After pondering for a long while, she gave a self-deprecating laugh.

"You both are fools, handing over the man you love to a rival."

Ione smiled bitterly.

"We thought the sa while coming here. That we were being fools."

"Don't worry. I'm no less a fool than you two."

That comnt surprised the princesses. Erfa shrugged.

"Three is better than one, right? Besides, you're telling to bring a bottle and get the Saint drunk? I'm a woman who's lived in hiding for half her life. How could I possibly do that skillfully? I assure you, you two would do it much better."

The two princesses looked at Erfa cautiously.

"Are you sure about this, Erfa?"

Erfa nodded.

"Just as you two said. To be saved together and then argue that so of us should love and others shouldn't—that would be too selfish. I don't think that's right."

A smile ford on the faces of Ione and Alne.

"We'll make sure he drinks. Then we'll call you, Erfa."

"Please do that. Just one thing. I can't compromise on this. The first experience will be mine."

Ione and Alne seed disappointed by that.

"Alright. We'll accept that."

"We'll just warm things up. But after that, it's our turn."

Erfa nodded.

And so, it was decided.

****

As soone who frequented the place daily, no one stopped Erfa as she entered the Mars Tower temple and headed towards the Saint's room.

Erfa cautiously entered the Saint's room, passing the guarding knights, court magicians, and the clerics and paladins of the White Order.

It seed the court magician had previously installed a soundproofing spell, as once inside, sounds that were completely inaudible from the outside began to reach her ears.

"Just a mont. Ione. If you suddenly put it like that... Ah♥... Uh♥"

"It feels like doing it with two Saints because the sensations are shared. It's fascinating."

The twin sisters were lying on either side of the Saint, moaning.

As Erfa entered, both princesses looked up with flushed faces.

They grinned at Erfa.

"We haven't done it yet, as promised."

"Just touched with fingers and hands. That's okay, right?"

Erfa nodded at their words and approached the bed.

The Saint was sound asleep.

His eyes were slightly swollen, perhaps from tears.

She felt compassion for him.

Erfa quietly climbed onto the Saint's body.

"I'm sorry to do it this way. I'm really sorry."

This foolishly kind and good man would, upon waking up the next day,

Likely not get angry upon realizing the situation but rather worry about the three of them.

Because he was foolishly kind, he would try not to show anyone the burdens he carried and eventually...

Just like in the dreams of the two princesses, he would break down.

She didn't ask for much.

Certainly, he would continue to save people in the future.

That path would be painful and difficult.

So, she wanted to give him a mont of happiness, even if just for a short while.

Erfa hoped that this incident would make him open his heart after he awoke.

She wished that he would find happiness, even if briefly, in their embrace.

She hoped he would act spoiled and shed tears over the heavy burdens he carried and how hard and painful it was.

Erfa carefully leaned down and kissed the Saint.

"After today, it's okay if you bla or get angry. No matter how you react, please... just don't break."

Her four arms moved slowly and delicately, ticulously removing her witch's robe.

"I love you, Saint."

The night deepened.
