"Welco to the first step of change."

A deep voice rang in his ears, carrying a sort of chanical coldness.

Seth's vision gradually cleared. He saw the pitch-black knight standing before him, the tools in his hands gleaming with a cold light. His heartbeat began to accelerate, his breathing letting out a rapid hum, as if he had a premonition that so irreversible change was about to descend.

Smack!

A manual was slapped onto Seth's face. He subconsciously wanted to resist, but as he reached out, he realized he was not restrained. He had rely been stripped of his armor and placed on an operating table.

He looked around again and discovered that aside from this black knight who had single-handedly taken down two of their companies bare-handed, the Chapter's Sanguinary Priest and an Inquisitor were also by his side.

"Inquisitor!"

Seth's pupils suddenly constricted, and almost instinctively, he was about to violently lash out and kill.

Then he was firmly pressed back onto the operating table by an iron hand.

"The modification surgery needs to pass the Inquisition's review, unless you want to cause trouble for Karna in the future."

With just a simple na, Arthur managed to make this ferocious beast regain his composure.

"Your mind should still be fairly clear right now. Take a good look at the modifications in the manual."

Seth really wanted to unleash his fury. At the very least, facing this knight who hunted like a dragon preying on birds, he ought to fight for the Dignity of the Angel's Progeny.

Thus, he picked up the manual still resting on his chest and began to examine it carefully.

Aglaia breathed a sigh of relief. She had purely co to issue a certification for the Transmigrators' modifications. Out of professional ethics, it was necessary for her to understand the detailed process of this surgery and see if there were any Chaos or Xenos factors at play.

She had not gone down yesterday; her ons told her that nothing good would co of it if she did. Therefore, she stayed on the ship, busy writing the report on Pierrede for Terra, while simultaneously keeping in touch with the Archmagos to prevent herself from getting lost in The Warp again over sothing she shouldn't have said.

Then Today, she was notified by Arthur to co over and conduct a surgical review.

The Inquisition held imnse power. Even if the internal Ordos each had their own inclinations, to the outside world, the Inquisition had the authority to investigate anything amiss.

And if an incident was already under investigation by another Inquisitor, subsequent Inquisitors would decisively abandon looking into the matter.

Whoever found it, took responsibility for it.

This was considered an established custom among Inquisitors.

Because of this, it was actually exceptionally easy for an Inquisitor to protect sothing.

Moreover—

Aglaia looked at Arthur with gratitude.

The Transmigrators were truly easy to work with. They would not use forbidden knowledge to ss with her like the Archmagos did.

This was a detailed modification plan. To adapt to a type of power armor that was constantly in an overloaded state, soldiers would be implanted with an organ called a muscle coil, allowing their bodies to match the armor's output.

At the sa ti, to ensure the lifespan of each warrior facing the side effects of these Exterminatus Weapons, an organ for storing stem cells would be added to their chests. This organ would store healthy stem cells and gradually release them at the appropriate ti, spreading throughout the body via the circulatory system to heal permanent trauma caused by radiation or other factors.

Finally, a small external regulatory device was installed. It required adjustnts once a month to allow the organs to function properly, and it could be integrated into the power armor's circulation module.

Whether it was the organ cultivation process, surgical examples, or operational procedures, everything was systematically annotated using the Codex as a foundation. Any questions could receive scientific and detailed answers, allowing Aglaia to observe, verify, and quickly reach a conclusion.

Well, compared to the sinister flesh modifications of the Iron Hands, the unmanned Dreadnoughts, and the various ruins laden with heretical technology left behind by deceased Primarchs...

This technology, designed to increase the survival ti and Combat Power of the Devastator Company mbers, contained absolutely no heretical practices.

As for the Devastator Company—a configuration expressly forbidden by the Codex Astartes...

Aglaia felt that after seeing the Nesis Chapter and their Gloriana-class battleship operating at full firepower despite their permanent Chapter cap of only a thousand marines, it was entirely necessary to ignore this issue.

It was just... wasn't this surgical procedure a bit too detailed?

Aglaia looked left and right, feeling as though even she could complete the surgery by following this manual. Then she rembered that this surgery, seemingly with the approval of Dante and the Sanguinary Priests, had invited Apothecaries from various Chapters to observe under the guise of joint supervision by brother Chapters.

The surgery itself was fine, but it seed the lords were intentionally spreading this type of procedure.

Whatever, it was none of her business.

Aglaia figured she only needed to provide the certification. The surgery was flawless, anyway, and to prevent herself from getting lost in The Warp, she decided to ignore the rest for now.

Whenever she wanted to do sothing extra, Aglaia would think of her late teacher, and then sincerely conclude that she should not ddle in matters beyond her capabilities.

Running around after the lords, listening to them recount a bit of past history, and sending it back to Terra to fulfill her quotas was perfect enough. She still wanted to go stay in her villa, after all.

"The Angel's Tears?"

Seth locked onto a title and asked excitedly, "Can we beco 'The Angel's Tears'?"

As expected, one couldn't count on the Blood Angels having brains for anything other than fighting.

"This is the Devastator Death Company. Aside from Combat Power, Karna has other requirents for the mbers of 'The Angel's Tears.' For instance, a mber must be a wise individual capable of bringing hope and strength to those around them."

Seeing that Gabriel had no intention of refusing, Arthur decisively injected a shot of anesthesia. He then dragged over the culture tank beside him and began implanting various organs.

'With your current behavior, you actually want to be The Angel's Tears?'

'Keep dreaming.'

"Then what is the purpose of this surgery?"

Seth felt the black knight was quite well-mannered. If it were him, he would have simply barked that a slave wallowing in the Thirst had no right to join The Angel's Tears.

"The surgery is necessary because Karna intends to lead you into battle, but you are too weak to keep up with him."

Arthur spoke very bluntly, a form of retaliation against the sole Chapter Master candidate of the Flesh Tearers for his earlier insolence.

The knight's technique was extrely skilled. Seth didn't even feel any pain, yet his mind remained perfectly clear. He could even watch as his chest cavity was sliced open, the knight picking up sterile forceps to ticulously insert the organs before beginning the suturing.

Seth believed his constitution was slightly different from the other Blood Angels, but Arthur was still able to accurately control the anesthetic dosage based on his specific physiology and skillfully execute the organ implantation.

"Your... your skills are exquisite."

Recalling Karna's teachings, Seth swallowed the question 'How many people have you dissected?' and offered the complint instead.

"Practice makes perfect."

Recalling the series of tasks Rases had arranged for him, Arthur felt there were very few people in the entire Galaxy more familiar with the anatomy of the Adeptus Astartes than he was.

Hemostasis, filling with repair gel, reinforcing the skeletal structure, and suturing the wound.

"Done."

The dical equipnt ceased its operation and was subsequently packed away into the Backpack behind him. Seth looked at the knight, who had returned to his ordinary appearance, no longer showing any signs of peculiarity.

He then looked down at his body, where only shallow suture lines remained over the wounds. Recalling the scene of the man taking him down in an instant, he felt this guy could tear the entire Flesh Tearers Chapter to pieces even bare-handed.

"This is the organ regulatory device. To use it, plug it into the newly opened ganglion in your chest cavity. I've already handed the manufacturing thod over to your Sanguinary Priests. Rember to get a replacent if it breaks."

This device was actually used to replace the "Sacred Anthem Pituitary," an organ with an excessively high Warp component. It didn't possess as many additional functions as the Sacred Anthem Pituitary, but fortunately, it ensured the normal operation of the organs and, to a certain extent, promoted the secondary developnt of Space Marines.

Don't ask how the Transmigrators managed to create it; just sincerely thank the demons for their contributions.

"Are you ready to take the second step toward change?"

Seth stretched his body, feeling the unprecedented power surging through his newly modified physique.

He had a premonition that he could beco even stronger.

"Yes, I can hardly wait!"

"Good."

The black knight nodded.

The Dawn · Church School

"Uncle."

Erika and Silin were curiously staring at the towering giant beside them.

They belonged to different departnts and normally wouldn't spend ti together, but they heard that an extra preschool education course had been set up Today, requiring all children under the age of nine to attend.

The two little ones naturally chose to stick closely together.

"Are you here to attend the class too?"

"..."

Seth twitched his stiff lips. He looked at the books placed in front of him, then glanced at Karna stepping out from behind the podium.

"Yes."

He replied as gently as he could.
