He was both Liang Yi, who had lived in Youdao Mountain for ten years, and Liang Yi, who had traversed from Earth. So when all his mories were restored and he returned to Youdao Mountain, he felt quite emotional.
"I just don't know if it's only the two of us who have returned, or if Master and Mistress have co back as well."
Liang Yi was sowhat puzzled. His mory was still stuck at the mont he killed Cang Dong in the Cloud Sea Secret Realm. He had no recollection of what happened after he fainted beside his master, nor did he know how the others were faring now.
"And… why did I return to Youdao Mountain? If it was just simple fainting, wouldn't staying a few days in Abyss Battle City or the Cloud Sea Secret Realm suffice?"
This point made Liang Yi feel strange. Currently, things were in chaos in the Abyss, making it a perfect opportunity to attack. There was no reason to send him and his junior sister back here.
And there was more that concerned Liang Yi…
Liang Yi sat on the chair, holding his junior sister's hand with one hand while Sword Intent, Cliff Sword Intent, appeared at his fingertips of the other.
The first ti he noticed sothing unusual was actually during the confrontation with Tian Anyu on the Abyss Continent. But that feeling was so subtle, he thought it was an illusion.
However, when he hand-slain Cang Dong with a completely different ntal state, that peculiar anomaly was finally confird by Liang Yi, who for the first ti scrutinized the Sword Intent his father-in-law had given him.
He used to regard it as a powerful weapon against the Abyss, which proved to be effective. But now, Liang Yi sensed sothing amiss in it.
"Chirp, chirp!"
While Liang Yi was deep in thought, an unusual sound ca from beneath the floor.
Liang Yi retracted the Cliff Sword Intent at his fingertip, casting a puzzled glance at the floor. Suddenly, a faint blue light erged from the ground. A small figure popped out from under the floor and hovered in mid-air, tilting its head curiously at the seated Liang Yi and the sleeping Su Youyi.
Strangely, it rembered that the one who was injured and unconscious was Liang Yi, and the one taking care of him was Su Youyi.
Looking at the blue figure, Liang Yi recalled it seed to be the Mountain Spirit of Youdao Mountain, which he had encountered the first ti he ca after crossing over.
At that ti, the Mountain Spirit, although responsive, was essentially just becoming sentient, without a form or clear self-awareness.
But now, the Mountain Spirit had gradually cultivated its own form, far surpassing its forr self in both power and intelligence.
"Shh… Quiet. Junior sister is asleep."
Seeing the Mountain Spirit scratching its head in confusion and fearing it would wake his junior sister, Liang Yi quickly gestured for silence.
The Mountain Spirit humanely covered its mouth and nodded to Liang Yi.
"Well, it's almost at the Sixth Realm…"
Liang Yi chuckled silently, beckoning the Mountain Spirit over.
The Mountain Spirit obediently flew into Liang Yi's palm, affectionately nuzzling against his thumb.
"Hmm, quite cute."
Liang Yi laughed. Upon closer inspection, he found the Mountain Spirit's features to be well-defined and extrely handso—so handso that he montarily couldn't determine its gender.
With his mories restored, Liang Yi also recalled that in their childhood, he and his junior sister often played with the Mountain Spirit while living in Youdao Mountain.
However, back then, the Mountain Spirit didn't have much self-awareness, only able to follow so of Chen Hua's simple commands. Yet even so, he and his junior sister had great fun playing with it as children.
Looking at it this way, after successfully transforming into human form and stepping onto the path of cultivation, the Mountain Spirit still rembered those mories, which is why it now showed such affection toward Liang Yi.
Yet from Liang Yi's perspective, the Mountain Spirit's aptitude wasn't particularly outstanding, since Youdao Mountain was rely a place with slightly denser Spiritual Power at the start.
All the real pri locations had long been divided up by other Super Forces, with none left to offer to Chen Hua.
If Chen Hua hadn't set up nurous Great Formations here in Youdao Mountain, personally cultivating, altering the Spirit Veins nearby, it's uncertain whether the Mountain Spirit would have been born at all.
Thus, the Mountain Spirit, leveraging the Taoist Sect's foundation to cultivate to the Fifth Realm and approaching the Sixth Realm, was already considered a shocking opportunity; reaching the Seventh Realm or higher would be a challenge.
But neither Chen Hua nor Liang Yi cared much about the Mountain Spirit's cultivation. Chen Hua mainly trained the Mountain Spirit out of reluctance to manage Youdao Mountain himself; having a Mountain Spirit was imnsely convenient.
Liang Yi wouldn't consider a relatively ordinary Mountain Spirit as part of the Taoist Sect's combat power. The Taoist Sect's combat power was enough with him and the others. If even his master, junior sister, and he were helpless, a Mountain Spirit naturally wouldn't make much difference.
"However, later on, we could try moving that Big Chun from the Purple Cloud Sect here. It should benefit the Mountain Spirit quite a bit…"
While Liang Yi was deep in thought, pondering the feasibility of this idea, the Mountain Spirit suddenly took action.
He saw the Mountain Spirit leap from his hand, diving back into the ground like a skilled diver, disappearing montarily before re-erging from the ground.
Compared to before, the Mountain Spirit now held a jade tube almost identical to itself.
"Mm-hmm."
The Mountain Spirit handed the jade tube to Liang Yi, then quietly made a few gestures.
