"Can’t even the Immortal Dynasty figure it out?" Su Youyi was sowhat astonished after listening to her senior brother’s tale.
Although the Immortal Emperor was not at ho and many inherited treasures couldn’t be used, the thods of a super force were as vast as the stars in the sky.
If even they couldn’t investigate it, then the seductive soul technique of the Devouring Spirit Sect was truly outrageous.
"The Immortal Dynasty isn’t completely clueless; however, according to Commander Wu, the Immortal Dynasty still needs so ti, and what they lack most right now is ti."
As Liang Yi spoke, he snatched a kind of unknown snack from Yue Bai, took a bite, and found it quite tasty; he then grabbed the rest from the small fox.
But just as Su Youyi was about to say sothing, she suddenly sensed sothing and turned her head towards the direction outside the courtyard.
Liang Yi also sensed the anomaly outside and after exchanging a glance with his junior sister, he threw the snack back to the small fox, instructing her to guard the house well.
Then, he took his junior sister with him and disappeared in an instant using the carefree movent technique.
The small fox blankly looked at the snack that had been bitten into, sowhat annoyed as she flicked her tail.
···
Liang Yi appeared with his junior sister at the highest point of a tavern, looking down at the chaos in Qingliang City.
"It’s the Abnormal People, they are chasing soone..." Su Youyi glanced briefly and surprisingly, it was a massive number of Abnormal People from Qingliang City madly pursuing a figure.
Their weapons varied, but the fervor on their faces was sothing Su Youyi couldn’t quite understand.
Liang Yi understood though; after all, as a player, if you saw a monster with low health and a red na in a fearless situation, wouldn’t everyone want to rush up and strike it a few tis?
That figure appeared to be injured, with Mystic Bureau agents following behind; otherwise, it wouldn’t be chased around by a group of normal Abnormal People.
Focusing mana in his eyes, Liang Yi carefully looked towards the agile figure in the front.
"Ho, enemies on a narrow road."
That person was none other than Zhao Feng, the flower thief whom Liang Yi had once defended with chivalry in the black market, who even leisurely had a palm-sized exquisite doll hanging on his waist.
At that mont, Zhao Feng was utterly despairing, on the verge of tears.
He didn’t understand how his perfect disguise was bizarrely seen through by a bunch of ordinary Abnormal People.
He had planned everything well, disguising himself as a servant to enter the mansion, using a specially made poison to render the Chu Family’s young lady unconscious. Then, using a Secret Technique learned by accident from a Secret Realm, he transford the Chu Family’s young lady into a doll to secretly take her out of the city for so joy before handing her over to that mysterious person.
Everything had gone smoothly, only after he had just killed a Chu Family servant disguised as himself did those inexplicably present Abnormal People begin scrutinizing him with strange looks.
Just as he had knocked the Chu family’s young lady unconscious and perford the Secret Technique to turn her into a doll, agents from the Mystic Bureau suddenly descended from the sky and without warning, he was injured.
The unique mana of the Shadow Guard from the Mystic Bureau stuck in the wound, hindering his recovery and significantly limiting his agile movent technique.
What frustrated him more was, even after he barely broke through the encirclent, his previously infallible disguise completely failed. No matter where he went, the Abnormal People could instantly spot him, like dogs seeing a bone.
The Shadow Guard also noticed this; wherever the Abnormal People ran, they followed confidently.
Several tis if not for his exquisite Daoist skills and having enough prepared poisons, he might nearly have lost his life; even so, his stockpile of poisons accumulated over many years was gradually running out.
And yet, those Abnormal People chasing after him did not decrease in number at all. Even so that he had clearly killed two or three tis were still wielding frying pans and howling as they chased him, seemingly determined not to give up until they caught him.
He could kill those he could defeat endlessly, and those he could kill had backup. Zhao Feng truly felt desperate at this mont.
But what made him even more desperate was still to co, because players had already posted about him on the forums!
"I’ve never seen such an arrogant red-nad monster!"
"Large-scale regional task triggered, a bonanza of ga benefits?"
"The final frenzy of the beta, the Golden Skills within reach!"
"Don’t talk morality with this red-nad monster, charge side by side!"
Threads on the forum were flooding the screen like a river. Other players initially thought these were just regular trolling posts, but clicking on them revealed pictures and evidence.
There was also a post detailing how one got inexplicably killed by a red-nad monster [Hua Yu Old Fiend·Zhao Feng] during a running quest, which even triggered a regional task.
After reviving, the player didn’t make a fuss as he knew he couldn’t win; instead, he had a bright idea to report this to the Mystic Bureau and charged towards the Chu Residence with a bunch of Shadow Guard NPCs.
The task rely said to act according to circumstances.
At the end of the post, he also shared his panel task, the generous rewards along with the benevolence points from Xuanzhou Immortal Dynasty making other players red with envy.
However, it didn’t matter if they hadn’t received the task, nurous players confird that once they inflicted a bit of damage on Zhao Feng, they could enter the combat mode. And once Zhao Feng was killed, they could logically blend in to gain experience and could go to the Mystic Bureau to grab the rewards.
So now, no matter where the players were or what they were doing, seeing the posts would imdiately incite them to hurry over with high spirits. Those fishing, lion dancing, clashing stones against their chests, or cooking in the kitchen all joined in this commotion.
Don’t worry about whether there’s any real benefit to grab, let’s get hyped first!
As the beta countdown approached, players actually beca sowhat lax, but this incident has rekindled their passion.
If Zhao Feng asked the players how they saw through his disguise with a single glance, the players could clearly tell him: You, a red-nad monster, are burrowing into a crowd of green-nad NPCs, do you think we’re blind? Stop yapping, co here and let chop you first!
At this mont, Zhao Feng was using every ounce of effort, even his nursing strength. He felt if he didn’t die this ti, and secluded himself shortly, his movent technique could reach a new level, a level he once only dreamt of achieving.
He had been vaguely feeling the urge to breakthrough a half a year ago, and now under the relentless pursuit of thousands, he was finally on the verge of breaking through that barrier.
Although it was exciting that his movent technique was about to break through, all this could only be built on the basis that he survived. Right now, he could only feel the mana within his body moving like quicksand, the difficulty of mobilization increasing by more than tenfold.
"Just hold on a little longer, we’re almost at the city wall."
Zhao Feng was as exhausted as a dead dog, panting heavily like a worn-out bellows, his eyes fixated on the city walls under the setting sun, beyond which lay the mysterious eting place ntioned by the mysterious person.
He was almost there!
Zhao Feng reached out his hand, an imnse ecstasy surged from his heart, feeling like he was about to escape to freedom.
But just at that mont, a graceful and handso figure with an ethereal deanor appeared atop the city wall, looking down with a warm smile at the bewildered Zhao Feng.
