The ninth year of the establishnt of the Vine Tribe, the second day of December.

In the early morning, as the sky was just turning light, Qie Ye led hundreds of Warriors, escorting various materials processed by the Ant Tribe, as well as so Beast Bones, Beast Teeth, herbs, stones, and other goods obtained through hunting and gathering, setting off on the road to the Vine Tribe.

The Ant Tribe was located just on the periter of the Vine Tribe's territory. Because they did not have a Totem God, their self-defense capability was very weak, and they could only rely on the Vine Tribe for survival for the ti being.

"Everyone, hurry up; by the ti the sun rises, the Vine Tribe Trading Area will open. If we go late, the good things will be picked by people from other tribes..."

Holding a Stone Spear, Qie Ye walked at the front, vigilantly scanning the surroundings while shouting to the clan mbers responsible for transporting supplies.

Qie Ye's words made everyone quicken their steps.

As the commodities from the Vine Tribe beca fully available, the fa of the Vine Tribe Trading Area grew increasingly, and it beca more and more bustling, with various goods in short supply. Many even took pride in having visited the trading area to broaden their horizons.

As a subsidiary tribe adjacent to the Vine Tribe, the Ant Tribe's clan mbers felt these changes most acutely.

Initially becoming a subsidiary tribe, the mbers of the Ant Tribe felt awkward, even resistant, because they were once a long-standing great tribe, with each mber having heard countless tales of the tribe's glorious past.

When the forr glory faded, the tribe fell apart, and even beca vassal to another tribe, the psychological gap was enormous and extrely painful for the mbers of the Ant Tribe.

However, when they witnessed the might and affluence of the Vine Tribe with their own eyes, and saw the various miracles the Vine Tribe had created, their mindset subtly changed. So even began to yearn for the life of the Vine Tribe, taking pride in owning items produced by them.

Now, they couldn't wait to hurry to the Vine Tribe Trading Area, to choose the good goods in the trading area before other tribes.

The morning forest was covered with dew, and by the ti the group reached the outside of the Vine Tribe, their lower bodies were basically soaked.

Outside the Vine Tribe, a large number of Warriors from various tribes had already gathered, as well as many Wanderers. Most traveled in groups, giving the appearance of standing disorderly, yet with clearly defined boundaries. Everyone's position was closely adjacent to their companions, their gazes extrely vigilant.

The mbers of the Ant Tribe stood beneath the tall Vine Wall, looking up to see the soft sunlight casting its rays upon it, with the dewdrops on the vine leaves sparkling brilliantly in the sunlight, appearing very dreamy.

"Prepare to open the gate!"

On the tall Vine Wall, a Warrior from the Vine Tribe shouted, then blew a horn with a deep, resonant sound.

Next, the crowd witnessed an extrely awe-inspiring scene.

In the center of the Vine Tribe, the Divine Vine, as imnse as an ancient tree, spread its branches and leaves in the morning sun, emanating a faint green divine glow.

The terrifying divine might it unintentionally released made all creatures around the Vine Tribe feel their souls shudder, not daring to harbor a single impious thought.

When the Divine Vine awakened, the surrounding Vine Wall quickly transford.

"Creak, creak, creak..."

At the gate, the thick vines seed to co alive, twisting and slowly unwinding from a tightly coiled state, retracting backward.

In no ti, a huge doorway ford in the Vine Wall, allowing people to move in and out of the Vine Tribe freely.

"The gate's open, let's go!"

Qie Ye shouted, then eagerly led the way through the doorway, with the mbers of the Ant Tribe carrying various goods following, heading straight for the trading area.

Upon entering the Vine Tribe, an encircling canal was first to catch their eyes; where it flowed, there stretched orderly, expansive fields.

The grain crops had long been harvested, but various leafy vegetables still grew lush and verdant, truly delightful.

Next were the tall, spacious houses beyond the fields, featuring not only common wooden houses but also the Vine Tribe's distinctive adobe tile houses.

Those visiting the Vine Tribe for the first ti would be deeply impressed by the adobe tile houses, for they had never seen any tribe so lavish as to cover an entire roof with pottery tiles.

Even the roads in the Vine Tribe were not the common muddy, pothole-ridden paths of other tribes, but flat roads paved with slag and gravel.

The roads in front of and behind the houses were even paved with large slabs of Qing Shi, standing firm and clean, pleasing to the eye.

Even though he had visited many tis, Qie Ye remained constantly impressed by everything displayed in the Vine Tribe, particularly the noticeably well-fed, obviously stronger Vine Tribe mbers, whom he envied greatly.

"If only the Ant Tribe could live this way in the future."

As Qie Ye ran toward the trading area, he mused aloud about what he saw along the way, feeling a mix of emotions in his heart.

Upon reaching the trading area, the doors had long been wide open, and there was already a queue at the place for exchanging Bronze Blade Coins.

People of the tribes were used to enjoying freedom and generally did not follow rules, but in the Vine Tribe, as long as you still wanted to trade, you had to adhere to the rules; otherwise, one would be imdiately expelled.

The Ant Tribe had run fairly quickly, and Qie Ye didn't have to wait long before a Vine Tribe mber ca over to help them tally the goods and exchange them for Copper Coins.

These Vine Tribe mbers were proficient, working fast, and it didn't take long to count every item and weight of the goods.

Ultimately, Qie Ye received a hundred Bronze Blade Coins.

According to the current rules of the Vine Tribe, one Bronze Blade Coin could be exchanged for a hundred pounds of Round Potatoes or more than three pounds of salt.

This ant that a hundred Bronze Blade Coins could be exchanged for ten thousand pounds of Round Potatoes or over three hundred pounds of salt.

It sounded like a substantial amount, and the Ant Tribe could be said to have gained quite a bit from this trip.

However, considering the Ant Tribe currently had five to six thousand mbers, ten thousand pounds of Round Potatoes distributed among them amounted to less than two pounds per person.

Though Qie Ye hadn't formally learned arithtic, he knew from trading often roughly how much one could buy with a certain number of Blade Coins.

Therefore, after receiving a heavy bag of Blade Coins, he wasn't overly happy. Instead, his mind kept recalling what his father had once told him: Our life is hard now, so don't yearn for good things...

You don't realize the expense of daily necessities until you run a household. When Qie Ye truly ca to understand the Ant Tribe's survival situation, he realized how challenging it was to lead a tribe to survive in this Barbaric Forest.

However, Qie Ye was not one to rely lant life's hardships. After a brief period of worry, he took a deep breath and his gaze beca resolute once more.

Given the situation, all he could do was his best to maintain the survival of his clan mbers and then find ways to improve their living conditions.

"Let's go, follow to buy things."

Qie Ye waved his hand, then led the Warriors of the Ant Tribe into the trading area, searching through the dazzling array of goods for the items they needed.
