Shi Qiu raised his bronze spear and shouted to the hundred plus warriors: “Follow !”

The warriors followed Shi Qiu into the reed field, soon startling a flock of birds, accompanied occasionally by hunting cries and animal growls.
Shui Cang then shouted to the more than four hundred prisoners: “Follow into the reed field!”

Jiang Ze thought for a mont and said: “Take down a totem banner from the ship and hang it in the most conspicuous place; also paint totem patterns on the riverbank’s boulders.”

Jing Jie knew Jiang Xuan was declaring to other tribes that henceforth, this place would be Vine Tribe territory, and any tribe wishing to approach should consider the consequences.
