Huo ng said, "I didn’t expect to actually find the Vine Tribe."
"By the way, where are your giant frogs?"
Jiang Xuan looked behind Huo ng but didn’t see the iconic giant frogs of the Frog Tribe.
Huo ng answered, "The giant frogs are still hibernating; they’ll wake up when it gets a bit warr."
"I see... co, co, Chief Huo ng, let’s go to where I live, eat and drink our fill first before talking."
Jiang Xuan pulled Huo ng along without allowing any argunt, and the warriors from the Frog Tribe quickly followed.
In the bamboo grove courtyard, Huo ng looked up at the towering Vine God Mountain, feeling his heart and soul tremble.
This is the Guardian God of the Vine Tribe!
Huo ng sighed internally; just a glance gave an overwhelming sense of pressure.
If only the Guardian God of the Frog Tribe were still around...
Huo ng thought of this and shook his head slightly, for he knew very well that the Totem God of the Frog Tribe had long since fallen.
Huo ng then glanced at the two tall bamboo huts in the courtyard. Inside one, there was a giant bird’s nest, where a huge purple raptor was pecking at a large snake, its sharp beak easily tearing the flesh apart.
Huo ng swallowed hard; the raptor’s combat power must be incredibly terrifying because that snake was venomous, and he would definitely flee if encountered in the wild.
He then looked at the other bamboo hut, where a massive Black Wind Rhinoceros lay, leisurely chewing on tender grass.
Just from its enormous size and the sharp horn on its head, Huo ng knew this creature was definitely not to be trifled with.
Most importantly, both of these fierce beasts were kept by Jiang Xuan in the yard, and they were very obedient, clearly already tad by him.
At this mont, Jiang Xuan’s image in Huo ng’s heart had beco imnsely imposing.
"Chief Huo ng, co in and have a seat!"
Inside the house, Jiang Xuan called out, and Huo ng quickly entered, no longer looking around.
After entering the house, Huo ng saw many beast horns and colorful beast hides hanging on the walls, including those of fearso beasts.
Besides these trophies that demonstrated power, Huo ng also saw a large number of pottery, weapons, exquisite beast hide clothing, and so items of unknown use.
Huo ng sighed internally once more: the Vine Tribe is truly powerful!
Jiang Xuan, however, didn’t concern himself with Huo ng’s inner thoughts. At the mont, he was holding a Stone Knife, slicing large mushrooms into pieces, then putting them together with big chunks of beast at into a basin for marinating with salt and spices.
Afterward, he peeled and trimd the leaves off straight branches and set them aside.
"Chief Huo ng, you’re in for a treat. I happened to pick so mushrooms and caught a black muntjac today, so we can have grilled mushroom at skewers."
"The technique for grilling mushroom at skewers, I learned it from the Mountain Turtle Tribe. It’s incredibly delicious."
Huo ng laughed, "Then I am really lucky."
After witnessing the Vine Tribe’s strength, Huo ng was already adopting a much more humble deanor, even feeling sowhat restrained.
At Jiang Xuan’s invitation, he sat on a stool made from a tree trunk.
Tribal people are accustod to sitting on the ground, so sitting on a stool is actually quite uncomfortable, but Huo ng didn’t show any discomfort, instead complinting the beast horns and hides on the walls.
Jiang Xuan, being a very perceptive person, noticed that Huo ng seed to have sothing to say but hadn’t spoken out yet.
He wasn’t in a hurry either. After marinating the mushrooms and the beast at, he skewered them with the prepared branches, then raked over the embers from the fire pit and placed the mushroom at skewers over the coals to roast.
Before long, under the high heat, the mushroom slices and at chunks released a rich aroma, whetting the appetite.
Jiang Xuan chatted with Huo ng about the Frog Tribe’s migration journey while turning the skewers and, once cooked, handed two large skewers to Huo ng and took two for himself.
Huo ng took just one bite, and his eyes lit up instantly,
"Chief Xuan, you were right; these mushroom at skewers are delicious!"
Huo ng praised, then couldn’t be bothered to speak further and quickly began eating.
