"Ha! Take this!!!"
Up in the sky, a girl as graceful as a fairy was battling enemies from another universe.
Behind her fluttered a pair of butterfly-like wings, and a pair of adorable antennae adorned her forehead. Her body was enveloped in a blue energy as she continuously launched attacks at her opponent.
Yuujin rembered that the girl's companion had earlier referred to her as Rylibeu, a contestant from Universe 10.
And her opponent was Basil from Universe 9. Yuujin had seen this guy before—relying on his outstanding leg techniques, he hopped energetically around the arena.
"Damn it! He keeps moving around!"
Thanks to her wings, Rylibeu was able to maintain her ability to fly, which gave her a considerable advantage in this match. But what frustrated her was that Basil kept darting around below, making her attacks impossible to land.
"Hmph! Don't think you can get cocky just because you can fly."
"Shining—Shockwave!" With a cold snort, Basil erupted with energy and leaped into the air, condensing a massive energy ball and kicking it straight at Rylibeu.
Her delicate face changed slightly, and Rylibeu hurriedly raised her arms to defend.
However, aside from her flight advantage, Rylibeu's actual strength wasn't particularly remarkable among the contestants of the Tournant of Power. Defending against Basil's energy ball was already putting her under great strain.
"Take another one!"
With a string of cold chuckles, Basil condensed another energy ball and kicked it at Rylibeu. This ti, having to defend against two energy balls at once completely overwheld her limits, and she cried out as her body plumted toward the ground.
"Rylibeu!"
The Supre Kai and God of Destruction from Universe 10 nearly jumped out of their seats. But at the last critical mont, a figure flashed across the arena and caught her.
"Oh! Well done!"
The Supre Kai and God of Destruction of Universe 10 were just about to praise the savior—but they were instantly stunned.
The person who caught Rylibeu wasn't even from their universe!
It was Yuujin!
"You're called Rylibeu, right? I'm Yuujin."
"Are you okay just now?"
Letting go of her, Yuujin asked.
"I-I'm okay, I'm fine."
"Thank you for saving , Lord Yuujin."
Bowing slightly to Yuujin, Rylibeu said. At the sa ti, her heart thudded wildly in her chest.
This Lord Yuujin was so handso! He had appeared just as she was in danger and saved her—just like sothing straight out of a storybook.
Wuwuwu, Sister, Mother… I think I've found my Prince Charming...
But just as Rylibeu's heart was fluttering and her eyes sparkled as she looked at Yuujin, he smiled warmly and patted her on the forehead:
"No need to thank . From now on, you're my prisoner."
"Eh?!"
Her eyes widened in shock—Rylibeu was completely dumbfounded.
What the heck? This isn't how it's supposed to go in the stories!!!
"You brat! That's my prey!"
Just as Rylibeu was about to say sothing, Basil leapt over, glaring viciously at Yuujin.
Basil didn't know who Yuujin was, but he did know Yuujin was from Universe 13.
He couldn't figure out what was wrong with this guy's head—actually going out of his way to help soone from another universe! But what irritated him most was that Yuujin had snatched away his prey.
"Broly, make him disappear."
Yuujin glanced at Basil and spoke indifferently.
There was never any doubt when it ca to Yuujin's commands. Standing beside him, Broly raised her hand and imdiately launched an energy blast.
"What?!!"
Seeing the massive energy projectile—several ters wide—howling toward him, even Basil's face turned pale. The energy blast struck him squarely, blasting him backwards through chunks of shattered Katchin steel before exploding with a deafening boom on the far end of the arena.
Even Rylibeu at the side was completely stunned. That powerful Basil… was instantly defeated with a single move by that girl called Broly!!!
"Rylibeu, from now until the end of this tournant, you are my prisoner."
"You'll stay obediently by my side and listen carefully. If you do that, I'll make sure you last until the end of the tournant. Understand?"
"I-I understand, Lord Yuujin."
Yuujin spoke kindly to Rylibeu, and she dazedly nodded in response.
Even though Rylibeu didn't quite understand what was going on, she knew her own strength wasn't enough to resist the two people before her.
Wuwuwu… Lord Gowasu, Lord Rumsshi, please forgive !
"What are those two from Universe 13 trying to do?"
"No idea. But as long as Rylibeu remains in the arena, she hasn't been eliminated."
Exchanging glances, Universe 10's Supre Kai Gowasu and God of Destruction Rumsshi were equally confused. They couldn't figure out Yuujin's intent.
But on the other side, Universe 9's Supre Kai Ro was absolutely livid. He looked toward the Grand Priest floating on the high platform and shouted:
"Grand Priest! Those two from Universe 13 violated the rules—they're helping contestants from another universe!"
"There's no rule in the tournant that forbids helping contestants from other universes," the Grand Priest smiled, resting his chin on his hand. "That contestant Yuujin from Universe 13, helping another universe's fighter under such circumstances—honestly, his noble character even moves a little."
Supre Kai Ro of Universe 9 was left speechless with rage, and then yelled again:
"He's claiming a contestant from Universe 10 as his prisoner!"
"That's not against the rules either."
The Grand Priest glanced at Ro with a calm expression.
Fierce battles were erupting across the arena at every mont. So of the more brutal contestants even delighted in tornting weaker opponents. All Yuujin did was call Rylibeu his prisoner—he hadn't done anything excessive.
Besides, Universe 10 hadn't even said a word about it—so why was he making such a fuss?
Noticing the Grand Priest's subtle displeasure, Ro from Universe 9 turned pale and dared not speak again.
Still, he cast several venomous glares at Yuujin on the arena floor. Though he dearly wished soone from his universe would knock Yuujin out of the arena, reason ultimately overpowered impulse.
Universe 9's top priority was Son Goku from Universe 7—the one who had triggered this whole Tournant of Power and made a mockery of their universe during the pre-match battle. They would take down Son Goku first… then worry about Yuujin later.
anwhile, in the palace, the two Zeno had also taken note of Yuujin's actions in the arena—
"That contestant called Yuujin seems really interesting."
"Mmm! Very interesting. Let's keep an eye on him."
"I'm really looking forward to what they'll do next."
