The God of Spring’s Divine World suddenly fell into chaos.

Masters from the Northern Wilderness converged toward the central part of the Divine World. They gathered in large numbers beneath the magnificent thousand-foot god statue, but most did not know what had happened or what they were to do.

Suddenly, several beams of divine light crashed down from the sky. Wu Wang, the Young Master, Nu Chou, and Xiao Ming arrived from Heaven Palace.

Figures in various places hurriedly paid their respects. Before the Young Master could react, Wu Wang’s figure flashed. He appeared before the Grand Elder’s pavilion door, kicked it open, and entered.

Inside the room stood several figures who had co from the Human Domain. Yang Wudi had already hurried back, sweat still on his forehead.

On the bed, the fragile female cultivator had already passed out. A faint trace of blood was on her forehead. In her stupor, she twitched from ti to ti, the terror from before still lingering on her face.

Wu Wang’s expression was indescribably gloomy.

"Sect Master..."

"Lord Wu Wang!"

Wu Wang raised his hand to stop their words, walked up to the bed, and pressed his sword-finger to Lin Suqing’s forehead.

All the events that had transpired were captured by Wu Wang.

The Gold God had launched a sneak attack. The dying Snake Spirit, in a desperate last act, had sent Lin Suqing to Heaven Palace, to the safety of the Grand Elder.

Lin Suqing’s own strength was too weak. Her current unconsciousness was due to the excessively long distance of the transfer, which had inevitably subjected her to a huge shock, though she was not seriously injured.

Wu Wang secretly breathed a sigh of relief. He stood beside the bed for a mont and whispered softly, "It’s okay now. I’m here."

The Young Master approached from outside the door, sprinkling a light green divine light over Lin Suqing.

The terror on Lin Suqing’s face faded significantly, and her trembling body gradually beca still.

"With the Young Master here, let’s talk outside," Wu Wang said softly. Everyone imdiately nodded and quickly exited the room.

Previously, Lin Suqing had managed to say a few words to the Grand Elder. The Grand Elder had then hastily communicated with Heaven Palace, so they had a rough understanding of what had happened.

Outside the room, Wu Wang stood quietly. Yang Wudi, Kan Tianhou, and Hu Sheng dared not even breathe heavily. Da Yi, however, who had co over, already had his longbow on his back.

Kan Tianhou said, "Lord Wu Wang, please don’t be impulsive. The Gold God’s strength..."

"How many Divine Generals are in the Gold God’s Divine Realm?" Wu Wang asked.

"This..." Kan Tianhou frowned. "The Gold God is one of the Five Elents Gods. Although her Divine Realm is rather desolate, there are still quite a few beings gathered there..."

Wu Wang furrowed his brow and turned his gaze to Kan Tianhou.

The Grand Elder hurriedly said, "Sect Master, although the Gold God’s Divine Realm has many supporters, they are not a formidable force. The Gold God rarely manages this Divine Realm, and many beings within it form their own factions, seeking shelter under the Gold God’s na."

Hu Sheng added, "If it cos to a fight, we only need to win the first battle, and the enemy’s morale will naturally collapse."

"Sect Master, your subordinate knows," Yang Wudi whispered.

"The Gold God’s Divine Realm has sixty-two high-ranking Divine Generals and over three hundred low-ranking ones. This makes it one of the weakest Divine Realms among the Five Elents Gods.

There are a total of one hundred seventy-two female Divine Generals.

Most of them fear the Gold God, but she has not shown herself for a long ti.

If we go to war with the Gold God’s Divine Realm, it is likely to result in nurous casualties. Although the Gold God’s followers are not nurous, there are indeed many Divine Generals who are fierce and ferocious."

"Hmm," Wu Wang responded. "Thank you for your hard work." Then he fell silent.

In the silence, it seed as if a fla was brewing within him, about to burst forth violently.

"Imdiately send a ssage to the Human Domain to confirm whether the Snake Spirit is dead or alive! And ask the Human Emperor Pavilion if they’re just a bunch of good-for-nothings!

Qiong Qi caused mayhem within the borders, and the Gold God abducted Lin Suqing right under their noses!

Were the Immortals stationed near the Annihilation Sect blind? HUH!?

Not a single warning! Not the slightest sign of alarm!

Does this an if I stay here a few more years, Xiaolan will also be captured? Emperor Shun might as well deliver her to my face, and I wouldn’t even know why she was taken!"

Kan Tianhou’s legs shook, and he hastily knelt down.

Seeing this, Hu Sheng hesitated for a mont but then pursed her lips and knelt beside him.

Upon hearing Wu Wang’s outburst, the Young Master couldn’t help but peer outside through a crack in the window from the bedside, her eyes full of concern.

The Grand Elder said, "Sect Master, wasn’t the Gold God previously restrained by Mother of the Sun Xihe and personally ordered by the Heavenly Emperor..."

"No need to think about it," Wu Wang cut in. "This is Emperor Shun’s doing."

Wu Wang paced back and forth, hands clasped behind his back. The rage in his eyes grew more intense. The silhouette of the Snake Spirit flashed through his mind; though faint, it had left its mark.

To the Human Domain, she was a criminal god;

To him, she was a dedicated and dutiful subordinate.

If it were soone else, perhaps they wouldn’t care much for a criminal god trapped by a Divine Spell, but not Wu Wang. At least, not for Wu Wang!

This damned Gold God had killed his subordinate. If he didn’t kill this idiot, what kind of Master of the Heavenly Dao would he be, let alone achieve the title of Eastern Emperor Taiyi!

Don’t rush, be calm.

Why didn’t Zhong save the Snake Spirit? Right, Emperor Shun was watching this matter; Zhong had to avoid him.

Wu Wang took a deep breath, forcefully calming his Dao heart, locking away the excess emotions in its deepest recesses. Now was not the ti for his Dao heart to waver.

He imdiately introspected, searching for any possibility that Zhong might be interfering with him, and dismissed any such possibility.

Eliminating the Gold God was Wu Wang’s most pressing thought at the mont. A very simple idea.

A direct kill? He probably wasn’t her match. He must calculate ticulously, preferably creating an ambush. If the Young Master joined forces with him, they could confidently defeat the Gold God. Yes, she was the key.

Wu Wang turned around and rushed back into the room. Seeing the Young Master, he began, "I need—"

"I’ll help you," the Young Master spoke softly, her gaze firm, as if afraid Wu Wang hadn’t fully grasped the aning of her words. She added:

"Whatever you want to do, I can help you with it, even if it ans going to war directly with the Gold God.

You just asked about the Divine Realm, did you an to use a duel to the death through the Divine Realms?

Why not use my Divine Realm as the main battleground? I have over three thousand six hundred Divine Generals. With a nurical advantage, we won’t suffer significant losses against the Gold God’s Divine Generals, and we can overwhelm them.

As for the Gold God herself, I will join you. We should be able to win."

"No need for the Divine Realms," Wu Wang said. "You only need to trap the Gold God at the critical mont; I’ll handle the rest. This matter does not concern the beings of your Divine Realm."

"The Gold God is an enemy of all living beings," the Young Master said. "Anyone who prevents living beings and Order from resolving their enmity can be considered an enemy of all living beings."

"Hmm." Wu Wang’s lips trembled, but he swallowed the words of gratitude.

The Young Master showed a tender smile, her eyes full of trust and encouragent for Wu Wang.

Wu Wang nodded and walked out of the room without saying much to anyone. Instead, he soared towards Heaven Palace.

He returned to the God of Spring’s Temple and drew out all its Divine Power.

He held the necklace and called for his mother, asking her to join him in the fight later. He was prepared to go all out, to stake everything on destroying the Gold God, regardless of the outco.

Cang Xue didn’t say much, only cautioning Wu Wang, "Be careful in all things."

This unusual calmness from his mother left Wu Wang sowhat puzzled.

"Mother, has it sought you out?" Wu Wang asked.

"Indeed," Cang Xue said in a low voice. "You have a chance to win, or rather, a significant possibility. It said that and only had watch the Snake Spirit go to her death from the starry sky.

It said that so things cannot be prevented; otherwise, they would trigger even greater costs in more distant places.

For the Snake Spirit, such an end might even be a form of release; after all, she had lost her true self, bound by the Divine Spell."

Wu Wang fell silent, sitting beside the Divine Pool for a good hour without moving. Eventually, he only murmured,

"I see."

He sighed softly and brushed his hand over the jade stone before him, starting to take out one treasure after another.

His Dao weapon, the Star Sword, was his most commonly used weapon. Forged from the core of a star mine, although it had beco a Dao weapon, it was gradually becoming insufficient for his duels.

Thirty-six Star Treasure Beads were arrayed to one side; the Small Heavenly Circuit formation would surely be useful.

An Eight Trigrams Disk radiating an ancient aura—also a treasure from Emperor Fu Xi—was ant for defense.

Wu Wang then took out a scroll, a ditation cushion embroidered with the Tai Chi Diagram, and a damaged spear...

After careful consideration, Wu Wang took out a silver-gleaming Treasure Box from within his robes.

The Treasure Box was crafted from a rare treasure mine in the Northern Wilderness. It was infused with the Divine Power of many Star Gods—this Divine Power was pure and potent, as if refined by the passage of ti.

Wu Wang pushed open the Treasure Box, and a Treasure Bottle slowly flew out from within.

While he did all this, he did not activate the grand formation within the temple.

He was doing this for all the gods of Heaven Palace to see, for Emperor Shun to see.

Wu Wang blew a breath towards the Treasure Bottle. The bottle silently dissolved, transforming into a mist of spiritual energy. This mist was pierced by a seven-colored light radiating from the drop of essence blood inside it.

The Star God’s Dao was in turmoil.

Above the God of Spring’s Temple, hundreds of bright stars appeared, outlining the Star God’s human-bodied, snake-tailed silhouette.

From within the Divine Court, a sigh of unknown origin sounded: "Essence blood of the origin, not to be given to any but one’s offspring... The God of Spring actually did this..."

"Is the Star God entrusting his legacy?"

"It’s unclear. The Star God’s recovery was already strange. After all, it was a Divine Soul injury that hadn’t shown any improvent for hundreds of thousands of years. How could the corrosive power of the Candle Dragon be so easily resolved?"

"Perhaps the Star God is nurturing the next Star God."

"Then why not co to Heaven Palace for reshaping?"

The gods fell silent, most having figured it out, deducing that the Star God’s reshaping would inevitably result in complete disappearance.

Inside the grand hall, Wu Wang had already consud the drop of essence blood. Intense Divine Light surged around him. All over his body, except for his face, the scales of a Golden Dragon manifested.

Soon, the Divine Light faded, and tranquility returned to Wu Wang’s surroundings, his aura having risen slightly.

He then took out an even larger Treasure Box from within his robes, which caused the eyelids of the assembled gods to twitch.

There couldn’t be much of this original essence blood...

Fortunately, this ti Wu Wang took out triangular flags imbued with the power of the Stars. There were seventy-two in total. They now hovered around Wu Wang, forming the Earthly Fiend Star Formation on their own. It revealed many transformations without Wu Wang needing to deliberately guide them.

Wu Wang offered up the thirty-six Star Treasure Beads, refining them together with these flags, creating a subtle connection between them.

But anyone could feel that the quality of those flags was many levels higher than the Star Treasure Beads.

With that drop of essence blood as a prir, not a single god within Heaven Palace doubted the origin of these flags.

In their perception, even though they did not know the specifics, the God of Spring had laid all his cards on the table.

Therefore, when Wu Wang stood up, slung the broken spear on his back, gathered the Star Sword and his many treasures, and turned to fly out of Heaven Palace, the gods could not help but cast their gazes. They followed and watched him intently.

Within the Heavenly Administrative Palace, the Head Manager furrowed his brows tightly.

He was continuously making calculations with his fingers. Each ti, he felt that Wu Wang had absolutely no chance of winning.

How ferocious was the Gold God in her madness?

The Head Manager did not know. This was because, apart from the Heavenly Emperor and his consort, no one in the current world could drive the Gold God into a corner. Nor had anyone ever seen the Gold God at her most frenzied.

Moreover, this was Heaven Palace... Even if His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor was dissatisfied with the Gold God, he could not allow one of the Five Elents Gods to be seriously injured in public.

The Head Manager couldn’t help but stand up and began pacing behind his desk.

Why would His Majesty suddenly release the Gold God? And why would he let the Gold God cause trouble in the Human Domain, kill the Snake Spirit, and force Wu Wangzi’s maidens here?

The Head Manager suddenly realized that, despite believing he understood His Majesty best, he now completely failed to grasp what Emperor Shun was doing.

At that mont, the Head Manager’s vision blurred. Everyone bustling about in the Heavenly Administrative Palace simultaneously froze.

This familiar Divine Skill.

A figure strolled in through the palace doors, offering the Head Manager a gentle smile.

"Your Majesty?"

The Head Manager stepped forward to salute, asking with so confusion, "Why did Your Majesty not summon your subjects and instead co here in person using Divine Skills?"

"So matters indeed cannot be publicized," Emperor Shun said, smiling with narrowed eyes. "I will need you to assist the Gold God later."

The Head Manager’s brows furrowed tightly. Realizing the crux of the matter, he was stunned.

...

「Wu Wang ca from Heaven Palace.」

He passed through clouds and wind, not returning to the God of Spring’s Divine World, but instead heading directly west from the Emperor’s City.

He unleashed his divine might;

He unleashed his immortal power.

He surged forward relentlessly, his pent-up anger about to erupt.

Throughout Heaven Palace, illusory figures appeared above the temples. Layers of clouds, accumulated over years, were parted by great hands.

In the Divine Court, the gods whispered amongst themselves.

Within Heaven Palace, Innate Gods who knew each other gathered in groups.

It seed as if heaven and earth were on the verge of a monuntal change; everything foretold that a great battle would unfold today!

Upon encountering a Barrier, Wu Wang’s figure didn’t pause in the slightest. The Yin Yang Qi swirling around him directly tore through the Divine Power Barrier ahead. A cacophonous, murky collective will of living beings rushed to et him.

It was filled with hatred, anger, greed, and endless desires.

The Gold God’s Divine Realm, usually peaceful to outward appearances, had its Barrier breached without warning, revealing its savage and chaotic side to all of Heaven Palace.

Wu Wang headed straight for the several-thousand-foot-tall statue of the Gold God!

A Divine General soared into the sky. Before he could even utter a rebuke, he was seized by an invisible force and flung to the horizon by the Yin Yang Qi.

Wu Wang’s cold gaze swept over them, and nurous Divine Generals quickly retreated, moving away from the statue.

Almost unimpeded, Wu Wang landed atop the head of the Gold God’s statue. He stood as if on a mountain peak, with layers of undulating clouds below.

Indeed, his strength was still not enough; he didn’t have full confidence that he could defeat the Gold God in a one-on-one Duel.

Wu Wang had even considered it very clearly: his current actions were, for Emperor Shun, the best possible ’developnt.’ He would expose many of his trump cards, reveal the bottom line of his strength, and the future trajectory of his power. He might even expose his weaknesses. If he succeeded, the Gold God would be reshaped, and during that process, she would undoubtedly be turned into Emperor Shun’s puppet. But Wu Wang had no other choice.

This Gold God had driven him to a dead end! If today the Gold God could capture Suqing, tomorrow she could capture his own father Xiong Han. She could bring the butcher’s knife down upon the elders in his clan who had watched him grow up. She could wantonly slaughter his own clan! She acted recklessly, without any moral compass, already like an evil demon, utterly heedless of consequences or any ulterior motives! Such an enemy, even if it cost everything, must be eradicated!

Yes, Wu Wang had made so cunning arrangents regarding this issue. He had ticulously sched to trap the Gold God in the Gold God Temple and had even provoked Emperor Shun’s dissatisfaction with her. But what now? The Gold God was, after all, Emperor Shun’s dog. And Emperor Shun ultimately wanted to hold all gods and spirits in the palm of his hand, to toy with as he pleased! This Heaven Palace! This Gold God! This Emperor Shun! He would, in the end, conquer them, slaughter them, and destroy them!

Then why not start today...

Wu Wang’s eyes twitched. He felt the gazes from heaven and earth, near and far, upon him. He even sensed, in the distant southwest, the Great Dao of Gold swiftly returning to this place.

Co then. This is the beginning; there needn’t be any way back!

Two silver lights suddenly burst from Wu Wang’s eyes. He lifted his left foot and brought it down. The statue, sturdier than any mountain peak, abruptly sank.

Starting from Wu Wang’s left foot, spiderweb-like cracks spread across the smooth stone surface.

The cracks rapidly expanded. That surge of force burst out all at once. The majestic statue shattered from top to bottom, large chunks of stone scattering and flying, as if heaven itself were collapsing and the earth sundering.

The creatures below frantically fled;

To the south, a great star twinkled. That petite figure had already appeared at the edge of Wu Wang’s vision.

"HAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHA!" The Gold God threw her head back and laughed, completely disregarding the tragic state of her Divine Realm, her eyes filled with manic excitent.

"Today, the battle of Divine Realms comnces." Wu Wang hovered in the clouds. His calm voice pierced through the cloud cover, drowning out the continuous rumbling from the earth below. It spread throughout Heaven Palace, causing many Innate Gods to shudder.

"No rest until death."
