The Knight Captain protected Emily and moved to the side, activating the Holy Word Divine Shield on his armor and casting several blessings on himself.
He had the privilege of witnessing Lette in action during the Holy Presence Ceremony three years ago. Naturally, he knew that the upcoming battle was not one he could interfere with.
However, this battle might not be easy. The recent massive casualties among the Dark Species caused a river of blood on the battlefield. For a Vampire, this was practically a ho ground!
Rudolph waved his staff, and several blood arrows erupted from the earth, shooting straight towards Lette.
"Such outdated Blood Magic, don't embarrass yourself with it."
Lette didn't even dodge, letting the blood arrows co at him. But half a ter away from him, these arrows spontaneously combusted, turning to ash in a blink.
"Or should I give you a hand?"
With a snap of his fingers, the Holy Guards on the hillside exploded, transforming into countless Light Elent Elves, which then reassembled into a flock of Holy Crows.
These Holy Crows resembled ravens but were ford from Light Elent Elves, with their wings burning with a fierce Holy Fla.
The flock spread like a vast cloud, sweeping towards Rudolph.
Rudolph dared not be negligent, tapping his cane on the ground three tis, instantaneously forming a sacrificial witch array with a large amount of blood.
As a mass of blood vanished out of thin air, a torrential rain suddenly began to pour down from the sky, instantly extinguishing most of the Holy Crows.
"How is this possible!"
The Knight Captain watching the battle was dumbfounded: "This is a Holy level Divine Spell! The summoned Holy Crows are imbued with extre Holy Fla, ordinary rain shouldn't be capable of snuffing them out!
Unless, unless this rain also carries Divinity!"
Lette saw it and quickly understood the principle.
"I see, you used Blood Magic for a rapid setup of the Witch Curse Array, and then through witchcraft, executed the real attack.
This way, your offensive capability is freed from the constraints of Blood Magic.
After all, Blood Magic is naturally disadvantaged against the Holy Light Divine Spell.
Now combined with an Ancient Witch Curse, it's enough to even out that gap.
No, in terms of the breadth and depth of ability, it even surpasses the Holy Light Divine Spell. After all, Holy Light can only be based on the Light Elent.
Many extended attribute attacks require very deep mastery.
Both the learning cost and usage cost are much higher."
Rudolph did not respond, waving his hands. The ground was instantly overgrown with Blood Thorns, all winding towards Lette.
The remaining Holy Crows protected their master, destroying all the thorns. But the blood remnants on them twisted and flowed, quickly forming a new Witch Curse Array.
A huge pillar of fire condensed out of thin air, descending directly onto Lette.
"After the initial strike of Blood Magic is broken, it can quickly launch a second attack or instantly switch to defense.
It seems your combat experience is quite rich as well. This ans that you've mastered this technique for so ti."
Lette's front flad, yet they could not co within half a ter of him. It was as though an invisible barrier kept everything at bay.
"Blood Magic combined with witchcraft, this combo is not hard to think of. Vampires haven't done it before, probably not because they didn't think of it but because they couldn't do it.
Now they suddenly can, there must have been so change within you.
Oh? Your eyes changed! It seems I guessed right."
Under Lette's intensely aggressive gaze, Rudolph instinctively stepped back half a step.
Before the battle began, he was full of confidence. Even if he couldn't win, at least he could make his opponent fight seriously. And he was sure he could escape.
But now, he hadn't even broken through the opponent's defense. He didn't even know how the opponent was defending!
The Holy Light Church's Divine Officers are tough to deal with because the Holy Light contains a touch of Divinity.
This causes regular attacks to be much less effective against them.
But his recent fire pillar was witchcraft and should have carried Divinity in its attack. In theory, it should be able to counter the Divinity of the Holy Light Goddess, breaking Lette's defense.
Yet the actual effect was nothing.
When facing sothing incomprehensible, one tends to feel instinctive fear, and Vampires are no different.
"Won't you co here? Then I will go over there."
Lette stepped towards Rudolph, causing the old man's face to change drastically, hastily and frantically casting Blood Magic.
In an instant, fla and thunder flashed together, gale and frost danced side by side!
Each strike held the power of a Holy level spell, and so combined witchcraft even rivaled a Forbidden Curse.
Yet just like before, none of these attacks could breach the half-ter barrier before Lette.
"Truly pitiful..."
As Lette approached Rudolph, he suddenly spoke, looking at him mockingly.
"Blood Magic coupled with Ancient Witch Curses, indeed so innovation, but that's all."
Lette extended his hand, gathering Holy Light within his palm: "Before using witchcraft, did you never consider why Blood Sacrifice Witchcraft was eliminated by Magic?
The need to draw an array before casting? The need for sacrifices? The power scale? None of these!"
Terrified, Rudolph continuously retreated: "You! Don't co over here!"
"Let enlighten you. Witchcraft was phased out because of the non-standardization of its elents.
There are so many Magic Elents in the world, why can Mages only fight using the magic stored within themselves?
Because those elents are standardized, marked with the Mage's soul mark.
While Witchcraft can achieve effects akin to Magic, the elents it uses naturally exist and are non-standardized.
This ans that Mages facing Witchcraft don't even need to defend or block, just simply absorb the elents.
This is the inherent flaw of Witchcraft, sealing its fate to be ended by the Magic Era.
So clueless, yet used with such glee...
It's hard to tell whether it's laughable or sad."
Lette extended a sword-like finger, touching Rudolph's forehead, killing intent overflowing.
"Impossible! Even so, you are a Saint Heir candidate of the Holy Light Church, how can you absorb Magic Elents of other attributes!"
"I don't absorb them into my body. Extraction and absorption are two different things."
Boom!
A pulsating strong light pierced through, leaving a fist-sized penetrating wound. Lette's single hand danced in chaos, slicing Rudolph into pieces.
"Won!"
Although Emily couldn't understand the intricacies of the battle, the outco was obvious.
"It's not that simple, high-level Vampires have an Immortal Physique."
Kaelster remained calm: "Even if you turn them to dust, as long as their true na remains, they will resurrect.
Against Vampires of Earl rank or higher, you can only seal them, not completely annihilate them.
But for sealing, you must know the opponent's true na. This is what makes them tricky."
Just as the Knight Captain said, although Rudolph was reduced to pieces on the ground, he quickly reford from the pooled blood.
"It's not that easy to take out!"
"Hehe, actually it's quite easy."
Lette's Holy Light Chains blood, binding Rudolph like a wrapped dumpling. Then he placed one foot on him, pointing a finger at the sky.
"Here, I bestow upon you a Holy Na!"
