Chapter 568: The Overbearing Lu Xuan
Lu Xuan killed people as if he were just mowing down weeds.
A terrifying slaughter was taking place.
Lu Xuan’s aura shot to the heavens. There was no need to even sense the aura with one’s own will; the phenonon was so obvious that one could see the sky shrouded in blood-red color with one’s naked eye.
The existence of life was a combination of will, qi, and consciousness. Cultivators were far stronger than any common being in all three.
Even then, gauging soone’s capacity or strength in any of that required probing with one’s willpower.
For instance, if soone were to probe Lu Xuan’s ntal world with their will, they would be able to see a golden dragon in there with enough power to bring all under providence to the keel.
The dragon was the noblest of all living beings. Having one’s ntal power taking the shape of a dragon enabled one to be immune against just about all kinds of ntal attacks. It was also a testant to one’s unbelievable level of ntal power.
The sa worked with one’s aura. Normally, soone could only vaguely sense the strength of another’s aura. Conventionally-speaking, the more powerful or younger soone was, the stronger their aura would be.
Weak and old people usually gave off such weak aura signatures that they could’ve been considered to be dying.
Lu Xuan’s aura, on the other hand, was brimming so much that one could even see with one’s naked eye how the sky was filled with his blood-red aura.
That phenonon was frightening enough to make people tremble in fear.
The strength of Lu Xuan’s Auric Flower far exceeded their expectations.
They even began to wonder if the legendary Auric Flower was sothing truly so overwhelming.
It had been ages since anyone conjured the Auric Flower, after all.
As such, ‘Three Flower at One’s Prominence’ was already considered sothing that could’ve only existed in legends.
At the very least, none of them had seen sothing more surreal.
So spectators exclaid in shock, “Wait, but how are his aura reserves capable of holding out after fighting so long?”
They recalled how a person’s power would’ve seen an exponential spike after conjuring the Auric Flower. At the sa ti, however, doing so would’ve depleted one’s aura reserves at a frightening rate.
Even if soone was in their pri, that was sothing that one could afford to carelessly throw around. It was usually reserved as a trump card.
If they were the ones conjuring the Auric Flower, their reserves would have been completely depleted after pulling off several moves.
The only way to bypass the rule was to reach the level of Three Flowers at One’s Prominence; one’s will, qi, and consciousness had to form a closed, self-sufficient loop capable of regenerating and recycling each other. Only then would one be able to fight for prolonged periods in such a state.
However, the way that Lu Xuan fought showed no signs of aura depletion at all. He didn’t even seem to pant in exhaustion.
To matters worse, he looked completely at ease.
Lu Xuan looked just unbelievably overbearing at that mont. It was then that everyone ca to believe what he said before; it looked as if he was truly out to slaughter a good number of people.
At that mont, the clans and sects that attended the eting but weren’t that close to the Taichu Path backed away in all directions imdiately.
None of them dared to stay close.
They all feared that Lu Xuan would’ve seen them as lackeys of the Taichu Path and count them in his kill list.
The phenonon was so shocking that even so of the sectmasters who shared rather close relations with the Taichu Path began to reconsider and back away as well.
They saw how he just killed two people who were half a step into the Divine Transformation Realm after all. Such beings were not to be trifled with in the first place.
Any one of such beings would have been revered at the sa status as grand ancestors. However, such beings were easily crippled; they were unable to withstand more than three attacks from Lu Xuan.
Lu Xuan was so overwhelming that he seed to have reached a pinnacle of sorts.
One elder of the Taichu Path at the ninth tier of the Divine Treasure Realm shouted, “Let’s pull out all the stops! I refuse to believe that he’d be able to kill us all. The mont his reserves get depleted, he’s dead!”
It was not that he did not want to retreat or that he shared such a strong bond with his people.
Rather, he sensed that he had been locked onto by Lu Xuan’s will. That ant that he had nowhere to run.
He would most probably end up killed right away if he were to even try escaping.
The situation looked like one where, despite their overwhelming numbers, it seed that Lu Xuan was the one who got them surrounded single-handedly instead of the other way around.
It looked as if Lu Xuan had completely driven them all into a corner.
They had no other choice but to give their all in the fight.
A cold smirk was seen on Lu Xuan’s face, as that was exactly what he was after. After that battle on that day, everyone would’ve known that even a sacred ground as powerful and resourceful as the Taichu Path could still be crippled.
Even if they were to not fall into the category of re first-rate cultivation forces, they would’ve still been unable to compare to how they had been previously.
That was how Lu Xuan had been carrying out his business all alone: be thorough and spare no one.
The Taichu Path was at such a level of power that it looked like a massive tree to Lu Xuan. As such, he needed to first get rid of the leaves and branches before taking out the trunk.
The way he saw it, he was forced to do so this way; he lacked the necessary power to do it so other way.
If his power level were at the Divine Transformation Realm, he would’ve most likely been able to gatecrash the Taichu Path all on his own. In that case, he could uproot the entire tree right away without needing any further considerations.
At that mont, the fighters of the Taichu Path were all emboldened. Those people did not lack guts; after all, they were elites who managed to climb the ranks and file in a monstrous organization like the Taichu Path.
They naturally did not lack guts, but the way Lu Xuan had been able to go about getting such clean kills had still intimidated them. They were all utterly cornered at the mont, without any hope of escaping.
The only option was to go all out and fight.
While the Auric Flower was frighteningly powerful, there was no way soone could stay in such a state for such a long ti.
That was what they were counting on.
All their bets were on Lu Xuan being unable to outlast them.
Everyone who watched the ongoing battle was left utterly dumbfounded; there was simply no way for them to tell who would be the eventual victor.
While Lu Xuan was without a doubt powerful, being in the Auric Flower state ant that he would not be able to last long in a fight.
On the other hand, the fighters from the Taichu Path did not need to worry about their endurance. However, they were far less powerful than Lu Xuan.
It was a scenario of both parties being more or less at equal footing, all things considered.
Boom!
The slaughter continued as Lu Xuan imdiately charged into the crowd of the fighters of the Taichu Path. It was only then that he showcased just how frighteningly efficient he was with killing people.
Boom!
He rocked the heavens with just a single punch.
Everything around shook violently alongside the attack. Several fighters at the ninth tier of the Divine Treasure Realm were hit, their bodies disintegrating right away.
There was no stopping Lu Xuan.
The fighters at the ninth tier of the Divine Treasure Realm might have as well be made out of cardboard when fighting soone like Lu Xuan; they were extrely frail compared to him.
They were unable to stop Lu Xuan at all.
Their numbers were utterly pointless before Lu Xuan’s absolute, overwhelming might.
“Taichu Chant!”
It was then that the fighters from the Taichu Path realized that fighting Lu Xuan one-on-one would’ve led to their deaths.
As such, they opted to link with each other. The Taichu Chant thods on them resonated with each other. Boundless Spiritual Aether spread all over the place, conjuring a massive silhouette in midair.
No one was sure what that thing truly was, but everyone knew that the thing was a manifestation of ‘Taichu’ itself.
