By using countless sea monsters, they proceeded to stand against the Human Alliance governnt based on the remaining continents. Both sides fought hard and long battles for years.
Every now and then, that old dragon was detected by both the submarines from various nations as well as cultivators in the seas. However, the old dragon never minded their presence.

Because that old dragon was able to move at extrely high speeds even when underwater, it could appear right before the submarines anyti it wanted. On the other hand, the submarines were utterly incapable of keeping up with the old dragon due to their ager speeds.
The Huaxian submarines were made faster by the Divine Speed Charms provided by Lu Xuan, which enabled the crafts to move far faster than most kinds of sea monsters. Even then, their submarines were still incapable of keeping up with that old dragon.
The submarines were easily torn by just a single swipe from the old dragon. Even if the crafts were to use nuclear torpedoes against it, they would still have had a hard ti doing much damage to a beast that was capable of zipping in and out as it pleased.
Things were made worse by the fact that nuclear detonation underwater was more than enough to tear apart the submarines themselves. If the crafts did not position themselves far enough from the explosions, the shockwaves alone would have been enough for them to break into pieces.
None of the nations were able to co up with good ways of taking on that old dragon. While nuclear munitions would no doubt pose a threat to the old dragon, the nations all had their own ways of dealing with it.
Even so, that old dragon was so difficult to track and pursue that they would not be able to do more than catching a glimpse of it.
Then again, the nations could still learn a thing or two after having spent so much ti looking into the situation. That old dragon was recuperating and looking for so mutated herbs on the ocean floor.
The land was not the only place where such treasures of the world would be found. In reality, such treasures would have been found within the deep seas that took up most of the planet’s surface.
Furthermore, there were far more treasures found in the sea than on land. This was because humans have not developed any ans of reaping them in massive volus.
There were actually mountains and rivers found undersea, which glittered as those places were boosted by spirit qi.
Many human cultivators were willing to take the risk and venture into the seas to look for such treasures. While they might have suffered huge losses, the rewards would have also been just as huge.
The nations all wanted to stop the dragon from taking action, yet they were unable to do anything. The best way to take on cultivators was to field cultivators, after all.
It was especially so given the extent of injuries that the old dragon had suffered. That itself would have granted an opportunity like no other, yet no one could do anything other than watch it grow increasingly powerful over ti.

He was about to craft sothing capable of taking on that old dragon. The Dragonslayer he wielded would not have been enough to take on that beast.

That dragon was nonetheless extrely physically resilient despite having his level suppressed.
That old dragon’s power would have far surpassed anyone else at the sa level. If it were Dragon and so others instead of soone as unnervingly terrifying as Lu Xuan, none of them would have been able to take on that old dragon. Even if those people were at the sa level as that old dragon, they would be no match for it unless they were able to gang up on it.
That old dragon was simply too powerful, which was attributed to more than just its bloodline as a dragon; it had remained very powerful all along, so doing damage to it was no easy feat.
Even the likes of Lu Xuan had to reforge his Dragonslayer just so he could get the job done.
“The Dragonslayer… I never thought that I would actually need the sword for slaying a dragon.”
As he finished speaking, a fla burst in his hand. The sword then began to lt into a puddle of liquid tal under the flas.
