Chapter 196: Reinforcents from Thousands of Kiloters Away
The news of the ergence of the Penglai Sacred Mountain of Huaxian mythology at the Eastern Sea spread all over the world in a single night.
While the common folks were still in the dark about what had just happened, the cultivators of truly supre statuses all headed out to the island as soon as they were able to.
Lu Xuan naturally caught wind of the news as well.
“So Penglai Island, the sacred mountain out in the sea, has erged, then?” Lu Xuan frowned. He knew little of the island back in his past life, but he knew that Penglai Island was the first island of such a nature to erge.
Due to the mories inherited from his past life, he knew full well that the Peach Tree of Immortality on the island was real as well. However, it was unknown just how much that peach tree of the legends had degraded over the years.
But then again, the fruits of that tree would still have no problems boosting one’s cultivation and enabling one to reach new heights.
The fishern who went onto the island did not eat more than so fruits; they just happened to pluck so trees they found, yet they managed to awaken their latent cultivation nature and powers just like that. This served as a testant to that particular tree’s existence and powers.
Lu Xuan also knew a thing or two about the other two sacred mountains besides Penglai Island.
A bloody battle broke out among those who were trying to get their hands on the tree and the fruits at such a mont back in his past life, and the one who eventually got their hands on the tree was not even from Huaxia, but soone from the west instead.
One could even liken it to a situation where a mantis was stalking a cicada, completely unaware of the oriole lurking and waiting to pounce from behind.
A truly supre, unparalleled being erged from that battle almost imdiately. The said being went on to reign supre all over the world, causing trendous stress to Huaxia back then.
The entire world of cultivation in Huaxia was facing stress unlike any other back in those days.
However, given how Lu Xuan had reincarnated, he deed it imperative to prevent any western cultivators from getting their hands on that peach tree.
The vice chief of the Min Province Special Task Force, Yun Sheng, paid him a visit personally all of a sudden when he was about to make it to the Eastern Sea.
Lu Xuan t him at a pavilion sowhere halfway up the mountain.
“It’s not every day that I get to see you here, Chief Yun. I know you people don’t co here without good reasons. What do you need of this ti, Chief Yun?” Lu Xuan made a pot of tea and drank as he asked.
“I’m here to ask for your help.” Yun Sheng sported a bitter smile at that mont and replied imdiately.
“Help?” Lu Xuan frowned. “I thought the level of power of that superior of yours would have allowed her to get everything done on her own.”
It was no secret that the Special Task Force’s powers had seen a substantial boost as of late. Other than the Dragon, Ming Yueyao had also been able to make a breakthrough and beca an Invincible Vajra, thanks to so guidance provided by Lu Xuan. Yun Sheng also knew that there was a third Invincible Vajra found among the ranks of the Special Task Force.
At the current stage, one could say that the Special Task Force truly beca invincible.
With all of the extra pairs of hands at Invincible Vajra Levels and runic ammunition acquired from Lu Xuan, the Special Task Force beca more than capable of tackling any situation at present. Even if the restoration were to beco even more pronounced and the powers of many cultivators were boosted further, the Special Task Force would still be well-equipped enough to take on all that additional strain.
“I’ll be straight with you, Mr. Lu. Chief Dragon and Chief Ming were ambushed, and they are on that Penglai Island as we speak,” Yun Sheng explained right away.
“The two chiefs are on that island now?” Lu Xuan felt rather surprised but quickly regained his composure.
The news of the ergence of Penglai Island had been blocked by many governnts for days, and there was no way those governnts would have just kept their hands to themselves in the anti.
All the countries in the know would have sent their best agents to that island, and the Special Task Force was one such cultivation force for the job in Huaxia.
Both the Dragon and Ming Yueyao made their way to the island personally, and that was sothing expected of them.
Lu Xuan only knew after Yun Sheng elaborated to him that both chiefs received orders to head out to Penglai Island several days ago.
There was no way anyone would be able to keep such news under wraps from governnts of the other countries. All the countries in the Pacific region sent their best agents.
There were even cultivators seen from a shut-off country like North Korea. The island beca a rowdy place in no ti.
It was especially so given all of them were fighters serving their respective governnts, and a lot of them had clashed with each other more than once in the past.
No one knew what kind of agreent was reached by all those governnts, but it was quite a surprise that they all actually decided to just take Huaxia out of the picture.
Both the Dragon and Ming Yueyao were ambushed. A good number of their n were lost, and both of them had only been able to escape alive due to their powers as Invincible Vajras.
But then again, they were in shambles and trapped on the island at present.
Things were worse than they were several days ago. It was only the nations near that island in the Pacific Ocean that were going at each other.
Things had spiraled out of control since then, with cultivators from all over the world making it to that island at present one way or another.
Those two chiefs were unable to even escape now.
That was what prompted them to seek reinforcents from outside.
“We only received an SOS from Chief Dragon about half a day ago, and we’ve lost contact with him since,” Yun Sheng added.
“We have given the case a lot of thought, and we ca to the conclusion that only you would be able to save Chief Dragon, Mr. Lu!”
Yun Sheng went to his knees and pleaded, “Please save our chief, Mr. Lu!”
“Get up, please.”
Lu Xuan lifted Yun Sheng up with his Spiritual Qi right away and continued, “I’m heading out to that island all the sa anyway. Rest assured, I’ll get them both out.”
“Thank you, Mr. Lu. We’ve got the chopper ready, and we can get you to the Eastern Sea right away. But, being able to get on that island or not is up to you, Mr. Lu,” Yun Sheng said.
“What happened?” Lu Xuan asked.
Yun Sheng continued, “Fleets from all nations are getting close to Penglai Island under the pretense of military exercises, especially the Seventh Fleet of the US Navy, which is now facing off against our own East Sea Fleet. We’ve placed a lockdown on all news regarding all the happenings from the common folks, or we risk having a world war break out.”
Lu Xuan replied, “I see.”
He bid his family farewell and headed to Lu Province. He rode another helicopter out to the ocean right away.
It was already midnight by the ti he got there, and he was finally able to catch a glimpse of Penglai Island. Despite being out in the middle of the ocean, the island looked dazzlingly bright.
The place looked as if it was an island made of lapis lazuli, with the actual material of the island’s makeup being totally unknown, and said material enabled the place to glow in the dark of night.
Lu Xuan’s Delusion-breaker Eyes made it so that the place appeared as clear and bright as it was during the dayti, despite it being the middle of the night.
He was able to see from afar that several fleets were closing in on the island from all directions, making the waters very congested.
The warships looked like tiny islands on their own.
The flags on those ships indicated that they were mostly from four powerful countries—Huaxia, the USA, Japan, and South Korea. They were also fleets from other smaller countries, but none were able to compare to those four, be it in terms of numbers or build.
Among those four, it was clear that the USA, Japan, and South Korea were allies, and Huaxia was facing off against all three alone.
A surface-to-air missile was launched, zipping past from afar without warning before Lu Xuan was able to get a closer look at things.
