"Brother Li, Grandpa Liu doesn’t an it that way. He’s just shocked. I only want to confirm once more. Are all six senses truly enhanced? Vision, hearing, sll, taste, touch, and perception? You must understand, fully opening the Six Spirits is simply too unbelievable."
Ryan sighed helplessly. "I’ve already said it. I feel like my entire body has been replaced with sothing new. Everything is sharper, clearer, stronger. If what you’re describing is the full awakening of the Six Spirits, then yes, that’s exactly what happened."
As he spoke, Ryan suddenly looked straight at Wang Bi’er.
"Bi’er, look into my eyes."
"Ah? Oh!" Wang Bi’er froze for a mont, then subconsciously followed his words and t his gaze.
A heartbeat later, a notification rang out in Ryan’s mind.
"Ding. ’Charm’ special effect triggered. Target is captivated and cannot break free for five seconds."
Ryan imdiately understood. It had worked.
Wang Bi’er’s cheeks flushed red as her eyes grew unfocused. She stared at Ryan with a dazed expression, admiration and fascination filling her gaze as if the rest of the world had vanished.
"This... what’s going on?" Murong Liu’s expression changed drastically. "Boy, what did you do to Bi’er?"
As a powerful cultivator, Murong Liu instantly sensed sothing wrong. Wang Bi’er was clearly in a hypnotic, enchanted state.
At this mont, she seed oblivious to everything around her. No matter who spoke to her or shook her gently, she did not respond.
Her eyes followed Ryan wherever he moved, fixed on him alone, as if he were the only thing that existed.
"Senior, please rest assured. Bi’er is fine," Ryan said with a calm smile. "When she fully wakes up, I’ll explain everything clearly."
From Ryan’s perspective, the newly awakened ability felt... astonishing. The mont earlier had confird it. His evolved eyesight carried a subtle, intangible influence, one that could quietly affect emotions if the conditions aligned. It was neither crude nor forceful, but precise and dangerous in its own way. Used properly, it could decide the outco of a battle in an instant. Used carelessly, it could easily invite disaster.
That was exactly why Ryan was careful now.
"Hmph!" Murong Liu snorted, his expression dark. "You’re still smiling? I don’t care what thod you used, but if anything happens to Bi’er because of you, I will personally deal with you."
His gaze toward Ryan had turned noticeably colder. In his eyes, Ryan looked increasingly suspicious, as if he were so smooth-tongued trickster hiding countless secrets.
Ryan did not argue. He simply nodded and waited.
A few breaths later, Wang Bi’er’s eyelashes fluttered.
"Huh...?" She blinked, looking around in confusion. "Why are you all staring at like that?"
"Bi’er, how do you feel?" Ryan asked gently. "Anything uncomfortable?"
"I feel fine," Wang Bi’er replied, still puzzled. "Just... I can’t rember what happened a mont ago."
Ryan hesitated for a second, then said truthfully, "You were affected by an ability of mine for a short ti."
Wang Bi’er’s cheeks instantly flushed. "A-affected? By what?"
Mu Xianling, standing to the side, looked away slightly, her lips pursed. She said nothing, but the subtle tension in her posture betrayed her feelings.
Ryan took a breath and explained slowly, "When the Door of the Six Spirits opened, all six of my senses awakened completely. On top of that, my vision underwent a further evolution. It gave my eyes a special ability."
He paused, choosing his words carefully.
"This ability can temporarily influence a person’s emotions if they et my gaze under certain conditions. It lasts only a few seconds. During that ti, the affected person won’t rember what happened afterward."
Wang Bi’er’s eyes widened. "So... that’s what just happened?"
"Yes," Ryan nodded. "That’s why you don’t rember anything."
For a mont, the hall fell silent.
Wang Bi’er stared at Ryan, shock and disbelief written all over her face. Fully opening the Six Spirits was already unheard of. Evolving one of them further and gaining a special ability on top of that... it sounded like sothing out of a legend.
Murong Liu, however, frowned deeply.
"Enough," he said coldly. "The more you speak, the more outrageous it sounds. Fifteen layers of spiritual power. Six Spirits fully opened. Now you’re telling one of them evolved and gained an ability?"
He shook his head. "Boy, there’s no need to exaggerate just to impress others. I already agreed that if you choose to enter Di Palace, I won’t stop you. Trying to curry favor with like this is pointless."
Ryan was montarily stunned, then laughed softly in exasperation.
"Senior, I’m not trying to please anyone," he said plainly. "I’m only telling the truth. Whether you believe it or not doesn’t change anything for ."
Before Murong Liu could respond, Wang Bi’er spoke up firmly.
"I believe him."
Her voice was soft, but resolute.
Murong Liu snorted again, clearly unconvinced. In his heart, he sighed. To him, Wang Bi’er was obviously already biased. This young man had unknowingly captured her heart, and that was exactly what worried him most.
"Young man."
Murong Liu finally spoke again, his tone heavy with admonition. "If you truly wish to go far, then walk an upright path. Don’t waste your thoughts on tricks and empty spectacles. Hidden realms, exaggerated claims, fifteen layers of spiritual power, six spirits opening together, even talk of evolved senses... all of that sounds impressive, but it is aningless without solid cultivation. Practice well. That is what truly matters."
After saying this, Murong Liu turned to Wang Bi’er. "Bi’er, Grandpa has exhausted both body and mind opening the Door of the Six Spirits. I won’t stay any longer. When I have ti, I’ll co visit and reminisce. And rember—associate less with impractical people."
When he said the last words, his gaze flicked toward Ryan, making his aning painfully obvious.
Before Wang Bi’er could explain anything, Murong Liu clasped his hands behind his back and left the Kai Ling Hall without another glance.
"This..."
Wang Bi’er stared at his departing figure, at a loss for words. She wanted to explain, yet didn’t know where to begin.
Truthfully, she understood Murong Liu’s reaction. Fifteen layers of spiritual power. Six spirits fully opened. Even an evolved sense. Any one of these alone was shocking enough to overturn common sense. Who would believe all of them stacked together on one person?
Only soone who had personally witnessed Ryan’s strength would accept it without hesitation.
"Well, I guess I’m an ’impractical person,’" Ryan said, spreading his hands and smiling helplessly.
"Pfft!"
Wang Bi’er couldn’t help laughing. "Who told Brother Li to be so outrageous? You don’t cultivate spiritual power, yet you have fifteen layers. Others open one spirit, you open all six. And now there’s even talk of evolved senses. Tell , which of these sounds believable?"
Li Wujie nodded seriously. "If we weren’t Clan, and if we hadn’t seen Brother Wei defeat a Lord rank expert with our own eyes, would we believe it either? Of course not. It’s the sa reason."
"Brother Li," Li Shu added with an exaggerated sigh, "you shock us every single ti you move. If my heart weren’t strong, I’d have collapsed long ago."
Even Li Baijie, usually calm and reserved, couldn’t help complaining. "Yi-di, are you still letting others live? Having so many talents at once really makes people want to cry."
Ryan scratched his head, smiling awkwardly. "You’re all making embarrassed."
Then he thought of sothing and turned to Wang Bi’er. "Bi’er, when I was testing my spiritual power, I couldn’t sense anything outside. That result... was it really fifteen layers?"
"Yes," Wang Bi’er replied decisively. "Very eye-catching."
"Is fifteen layers really that impressive?" Ryan asked, genuinely curious.
Wang Bi’er rolled her eyes. "Sixth Grandpa is around the eighteenth or nineteenth layer. Most Dui Palace disciples are only at the seventh or eighth. Stronger ones might reach nine or ten. And you, as a candidate, have fifteen. Do you think that’s ordinary?"
"Alright, that does sound ridiculous," Ryan admitted with a laugh.
After that, everyone else took their turns testing their spiritual power. Compared to Ryan’s ordeal, their tests were smooth and ended almost instantly.
Li Shu and Li Baijie each had one layer of spiritual power. Li Wujie surprised everyone with two layers. Mu Xianling was the most outstanding among them, possessing three layers.
If Ryan hadn’t overshadowed everyone so completely, Mu Xianling’s result alone would have caused a stir. Cultivating three layers of spiritual power without deliberate training was already the mark of a genius.
When all was done, they left the Kai Ling Hall together.
This visit had brought Ryan unimaginable gains. Hundreds of attribute points, a level-up, the opening of the Six Spirits, greatly enhanced senses, and even an evolved visual ability with a special effect. The rewards were simply too rich.
Ironically, the one who suffered the most emotionally was Wang Bi’er. She had busied herself for Ryan’s sake, only to be brought to tears earlier by Mu Xianling’s anxiety.
When everyone later teased her about crying at her age, Ryan joined in the laughter, though his gaze often drifted to Mu Xianling.
He truly hadn’t expected her to care so much.
He had assud she would secretly hope sothing went wrong, freeing her from him forever. Instead, she had been genuinely worried.
That realization lingered in Ryan’s mind.
