Chapter 31: I Miss You So Much
"Did he say what happened?" Gu Wencheng frowned.
"No," Gu Wencheng signed his na on the last page of the docunt, then took off his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Let her in."
"Alright," ng Nianyao walked out. An Xinya was at the door. The mont ng Nianyao ca out, she pushed the door open and went in.
ng Nianyao was speechless.
Half an hour later, An Xinya ca out of Gu Wencheng's office with a sullen face. ng Nianyao was taking notes of the morning eting. An Xinya stopped beside her. ng Nianyao looked up, and An Xinya sneered at her. She raised her hand and patted her desk before quickly leaving.
An Xinya had caused quite a commotion. Several people around her looked over and revealed gloating smiles. ng Nianyao pretended not to see it and continued with her work.
In the blink of an eye, it was ti to get off work. Gu Wencheng and Ping Yang had gone out to discuss so matters and hadn't returned yet. ng Nianyao finished the last bit of work and turned off the computer to get off work.
While waiting for the elevator, her phone rang. It was ng Haotian. Before ng Nianyao could say anything, he said impatiently, "Nianyao, it's . I've been waiting for you to contact , but you never contacted … I missed you so much that I couldn't take it anymore. That's why I called you. Don't be angry, okay?" He seed to be afraid that ng Nianyao would reject him, so he quickly asked, "Are you off work? I'm here to pick you up for dinner, okay?"
"You're back in City B?" ng Nianyao frowned.
"Yes," ng Haotian's voice was gentle. "Nianyao, I miss you so much. Let's et."
ng Nianyao endured her disgust and was about to agree when she realized that Gu Wencheng had returned. He was standing not far behind her and looking at her expressionlessly.
ng Nianyao was about to agree, but her words were stuck in her mouth. She felt embarrassed for so reason.
ng Haotian waited for a while, but didn't get a response. He said again, "Nianyao, are you listening?"
ng Nianyao glanced at Gu Wencheng. Gu Wencheng walked past her, and she couldn't help but tighten her grip on her phone.
"Nianyao?" ng Haotian asked.
"Mmm, where are you? I'll go find you."
Hearing ng Nianyao agree, ng Haotian said with a smile, "I'm downstairs at the Gu Corporation. You'll see when you co out."
"Yes," ng Nianyao responded and saw Gu Wencheng enter the elevator. After pressing the button for the basent floor, she hung up and waited for the elevator again.
ng Haotian opened the door to a black BMW and parked it in front of the Gu Corporation. When he saw ng Nianyao co out, he took out a bouquet of roses from the car and handed it to her.
ng Nianyao didn't take it and even took half a step back.
"What's wrong?" ng Haotian froze in the middle of handing the flowers. He felt a little embarrassed when there were so many people watching him after work.
"ng Haotian," ng Nianyao said with a faint smile, "you don't care about . I'm allergic to roses. Don't you know that?"
ng Haotian was stunned. He took the roses back awkwardly and said, "Nianyao, I'm sorry, I…"
ng Nianyao sneezed and took another step back. ng Haotian could only throw the roses into the trash can. "Alright, it's fine now."
"Don't co over." "There's pollen residue on your body," ng Nianyao stopped him.
ng Haotian's expression was a little gloomy. He was good-looking, rich, and had a lot of won around him. No woman had ever dared to talk to him like this and embarrass him.
ng Haotian clenched his fists and suppressed his anger. He threw his coat into the car with a dark face and walked toward ng Nianyao. "Is this good?"
ng Nianyao didn't stop him, but when ng Haotian tried to hold her hand, she said, "Don't touch . There's pollen on your hands and body."
ng Haotian paused. "Alright, I won't touch you. I know I was wrong. Nianyao, don't be angry."
ng Nianyao didn't say anything. She covered her mouth and nose. If he didn't know that she was allergic to pollen, ng Haotian would have suspected that she hated him. He kept a distance from ng Nianyao and coaxed, "Alright, baby, don't be angry. I won't make such a mistake again. Let's go eat?"
ng Nianyao nodded, and ng Haotian heaved a sigh of relief. "Then get in the car."
"I'll take a taxi over." ng Nianyao opened her mouth. Seeing that ng Haotian's expression was about to collapse, she added, "I can't sit in your car with flowers in it."
