Chapter 83: The Start Of A Legend (3)

Aside from the green light from Luis’ Revitalize Skills, silence blanketed the two individuals. Well, that is if they exclude the thunderous explosion and the shriek of the stone golem in the background.

Luis was torn between two heavy choices but before he could co up with a decision. Xagrien has already said it with all certainty. "You did, right? And that is the repercussion of the Oath of the Soul. That oath that I asked you to take restrains you from causing any harm to my comrades."

Luis’ blade must have carelessly grazed Nereen’s sphere and that counts as a grave harm on Nereen, thus triggering the Oath of Life.

"You didn’t look tired at all earlier and before that, the Golem didn’t hit you that ti. But you clenched your chest as if your heart was being squeezed and your complexion suddenly turned deathly pale."

Even though Luis knew that Xagrien would point it out, he was still surprised, especially when he saw how certain the male is.

From the firmness of his gaze to the stable tone of his voice. Xagrien sounded as if he had seen that before.

Or maybe he was overthinking things. Xagrien must have glued his eyes to him while he was busy attacking and dodging the enormous feet of the golem.

Luis pushed Xagrien’s chest subtly to signal that he wanted to get down and the male obediently did so.

"En," Luis borrowed Xagrien’s favorite word. The moon elf lord didn’t bother to deny it this ti. Why should he when it would be of no use?

Xagrien’s eyes clouded for a while. Luis could only stare directly at the storm that was brewing inside those tantalizing purple eyes.

With the few earthquakes every now and then and the distant shouting and yelling of the moon elves who were battling the Stone Golem with their lives on the line, Xagrien suddenly knelt in front of Luis’ much to the moon elf lord’s surprise.

"What the hell are you doing, Xagrien!" Luis exclaid. His eyes road to see if there was anyone looking at them right now.

He could only breathe a sigh seeing that there was none.

The warriors are busy firing their elental attacks. While the priests are focused on providing support and tending to the injured warriors.

"Can you stand up-, "Luis is like a headless fly right now. He doesn’t know what to do.

He knew that he was right to assu that Xagrien would bla himself once he confird it.

’Look at that painful look!’ Luis thought distressedly.

"Don’t worry, it’s okay now. It was never your fault." Luis said. He can never tell that the system is finally useful now and he will be immunized for one hour to the effects of Oath of the Soul.

But Xagrien just wouldn’t budge at all.

That was when Xagrien gently raised Luis’ foot and kissed it whilst staring directly at his bearer’s eyes. Luis felt like he was drowning in that pair of purple pools that were sucking him in.

Xagrien’s eyes reflect overwhelming devotion towards him as if he was his god.

Luis felt Xagrien’s warm lips touching his skin since all he was wearing was a pair of string sandals. Made exclusively by the artistic hands of Olyn.

That feather-light touch is enough to send shivers down to Luis’ very core. But even though Luis enjoyed this electrifying touch, he cannot help but lant deep inside.

’That is our first kiss! Why does it have to be at my feet of all places?!’ Luis is unable to say anything. He hasn’t co down from this sudden advancent.

Xagrien stopped and gently put down Luis’ feet back on the ground. It was as if he was holding a very fragile thing.

"I will correct my mistakes from now on. I shouldn’t have asked you to do that oath before." Xagrien said in a very gentle tone. The moon elf lord can see that the male moon elf’s eyes were turning a little red. "Let

be your guard and executioner from now on, my moon elf lord. I will never let you suffer the sa way as now and I promise to obey all of your will. I, Xagrien, will offer my soul and fulfil that oath every day of my entire life."

Xagrien’s body then glowed a faint purple light and he felt as if a part of his soul was connected with the moon elf lord.

Luis thought that he saw a strip of lightning flashing in the night sky but that is impossible since the sky was clear and littered with stars.

"Why did you do that?!" Luis asked looking flustered, his heart cannot help but race at this another heartfelt promise of his male god.

But despite that, Luis is also worried.

What if sothing happened and Xagrien had to break that promise?! He doesn’t want to imagine this male suffering from not adhering to the Oath especially that he experienced a small part of it this ti.

This guy is always giving him a major headache!

"I reject that oath!" Luis said even though it was already futile considering that Xagrien’s body glowed. It was a symbol that the oath beca valid.

"You don’t have any choice, my moon elf lord. You are officially stuck with ." The brute declared with all seriousness.

’If I need to sacrifice everything that I have, so be it. I will do whatever it takes to be with your side.’ Xagrien vowed from the bottom of his heart.

Xagrien then slowly stood up, towering over Luis. "It’s in the left waist right?" Xagrien asked with a light smile on his face.

And Luis was drawn and drowned by that smile.

"What waist?" ’My sensitive spot?’ Luis wondered what this male is talking about now.

Actually, Xagrien doesn’t need to ask about that at all. He already knew it since it beca his habit to do observe every movents of this bearer. It was as if his eyes were magnetized by the moon elf lord.

"Nereen’s sphere. I will get it for you." Xagrien said then turned his back and ran towards the battlefield.

"Wait! Your bruises on your back haven’t healed yet!" Luis tried to call the brute back but to no avail.

Xagrien has already jumped into the chaos.

Luis was left and can only urge himself to heal faster.

’Seriously! What should I do with this guy?!’ The moon elf lord can only sigh as his heart are still beating fast.

Legland’s side is not that stable either. He must admit that they underestimated this stone creature.

"It was said that elent-attribute mana can never compete with elental powers based on nature’s power. But why is it so hard to damage this magic-made creature now?" Legland gritted his teeth after jumping away from the Stone Golem.

The 4-star head sentinel is wearing flaming armor that is made solely with his fire power. This armor looks alive as the tongues of fiery flas are dancing all over his body.

In Legland’s hand was a broad sword that was frighteningly red from tip to handle.

Smoke is coming out of it from ti to ti. Signaling how deathly hot that piece of tal was. But strangely, it isn’t lting at all.

It only resus giving off that angry red glow.

Legland had donned his Fla Guardian’s Armor, a product of the Fla Materialization Technique that his clan is proud of.

This fiery armor gives him maximum defense against both physical and elental attacks. But despite that, he doesn’t want to blindly rely on this and be recklessly injured by this weird stone giant.

Plus they are currently caught in a bind.

"All groups! Alternately attack to conserve our energy! Let’s do our best to hold this Golem off until our lord recovers!" Legland yelled his orders in the midst of the chaos. He stayed firm even though most of them are feeling helpless due to the great enemy that they are facing.

He is the commander. Therefore, he doesn’t have any ti to wallow in self-pity.

So he ran forward and moved with an intent to attack again.

There is an explosion that appeared in Legland’s feet. This propelled him to fly towards the chest of the Golem.

"Arghhhhhh!" Legland yelled strongly as he attacked using his scorching broad sword.

Each of Legland’s slashes leaves a trail of fire in the Golem’s body. He made an X in the boulder-like upper torso. It was only shallow cuts. However, it is enough to trigger one of Legland’s techniques.

The head sentinel flashed away then flicked his fingers and said, "Now explode to pieces!"

And it did. A large boom was heard after that. Fire and smoke covered the golem’s upper body.

"Yes!" The other warriors who were watching cheered upon seeing this sight. Their fatigue, frustration and injury were carried by that cheer. It sohow lifted their spirits that has been battered since earlier.

Truth be told, this encounter made them realize that they are still weak. All of them swore to be stronger after this. It makes them feel ashad to face the powerful moon elf lord. All they needed to contain this mountain-like creature for a while and yet their ineffective attacks made it seem like they are failing miserably.

Therefore, even though it was their head sentinel who dealt the heavy blow, they still felt cheerful.

On the other hand, Sylis, Kalus and Xagrien’s other comrades looked at it with mixed emotions.

"This..." Sylis trailed off. He doesn’t know how to react so he just looked at the others and he saw that they are also wearing the sa expression.

Yes, they are happy. It was hardwork to move around and attack especially, most of them are two-star warriors.

They should be happy that it is possible for them to win against this mountain-like existence that they have never seen before.

"I am sohow feeling lancholic about this. Are we missing sothing?" Din asked, one of their comrade asked.

Sylis and the others are quiet for a few fleeting monts and they were all left wondering.

Indeed, they felt that there is a void that causes them not to cheer and they had no idea what made them feel this way.
