Chapter 236: I Don’t Have Ti For This Bullshit! (3)

The awkwardness didn’t go unnoticed by Luis, especially when his handso beloved mate blatantly showed his murderousness. Using his tantalizing and expressive eyes, he implied to Xagrien that he had the situation covered.

This is a simple matter that he could handle.

He knew what his subordinates were thinking right now, and he was aware that even though Nihil didn’t intend to challenge his authority as the Moon Elf Lord, that is how others perceived it. Personally, this skepticism doesn’t bother him much, and he wouldn’t think ill about it.

It is sothing he would let pass on the usual day.

However, he is not just the usual, smiley Moon Elf Lord today.

He’s here to lead.

He needed to take care of his dignity and gain the confidence of his subjects, especially in these critical tis. Speaking with uncertainty will only hinder him from achieving today’s goal.

But in proving that they are right, will he expose Xerxes’s identity to these moon elves? Doing so will automatically shut down all the uncertainty of so of his subjects.

In his opinion, this isn’t the right ti for everyone to know that there’s a dragon in their midst. It will undoubtedly cause unrest to these moon elves, which will, in turn, make the situation even more chaotic.

Luis looked at the only hooded man on the table. He and Xerxes exchanged a quick look, and the forr shook his head. It seems like their intentions align.

"Indeed, it is a serious matter, and it needs to be deeply investigated first before we reach a conclusion. However, this person is soone whom I trusted with full confidence, and I’m certain that out of the people present, he’s the most knowledgeable about these things," Luis declared.

His beautiful dark green eyes nailed Nihil, "I want you to trust my decision as the Moon Elf Lord."

Everyone who knows the true face of the Moon Elf Lord feels the weight of his last statent. Luis never threw around his authority as the Moon Elf Lord, and as long as possible, he would always use reasoning to convince them; this is sothing that they all know well.

Everyone subconsciously lowered their heads in front of Luis. Even Nihil felt ashad of what he did.

"I apologize for my insolence, My Lord."

Luis recovered his well-aning smile.

"You’re forgiven," he didn’t dare to be llow with this man. This isn’t the ti for him to be humble.

"Well, I might not tell you guys about my precious informant, but I could tell you the reason for concluding that it is the work of a dragon. Firstly, the wounds that the young moon elf sustained are left with traces that imply that it was inflicted by magic. And what we discovered was not just any magic. We saw a mark made by a dragon’s personal magic."

"Personal Magic?"

Luis explained, "It’s a distinct magical attribute bestowed by the Dragon Lord."

The patriarchs of various clans felt goosebumps in their arms, nape, and entire bodies. They thought only they were fortunate enough to be well cared for by their Lord. But as it turns out, they were wrong.

If the Moon Elf Lord has given them a training technique that enables them to use previously unimaginable powers, then does that an that dragons have monstrous powers like that?

Will they stand a chance when the only one who managed to awaken their True Elent is their Head Priest Nicol?

An icy veil of nervousness dawned upon the leaders present. They could finally feel the severity of the threats looming before them.

So are internally cursing the rogue who brought the blood mark here. If enemies catch you, then just die an honorable death!

However, these people are a minority, so they don’t have the angst to say it.

Now, everyone internally tells themselves they will cooperate well with the Moon Elf Lord.

Xerxes could read their expressions and shook his head in his mind. These moon elves are still lucky to have the present Moon Elf Lord as their lord because, unlike the dragons, Personal Magic was only bestowed on the Dragon Lord’s spear. And on top of that, it cos with a heavy price.

The somber atmosphere extended for more than a minute when suddenly, Xagrien’s loud, commanding voice unapologetically broke it like it was made of glass.

"You are thoughtlessly worrying about sothing irrelevant. The threat doesn’t co from that Personal Magic. It’s their intention! Our enemy deliberately used their magic to put a mark on the young moon elf and let him go so that they could track others to slaughter!"

This ultimately wiped off the depressing air at the eting table. They looked at the unsmiling silver-haired warrior who was sitting on the right side of the Moon Elf Lord. This young man has an aura of a strong and competent man, one that could inspire his allies around him.

"Their next target isn’t just the ones wandering in the wilderness. It’s every moon elves in our territory. Our land! It could be you if you were late or, in this instance, your acquaintances who still haven’t reached the Amber Forest."

"So what else should we do?" Xagrien asked. His voice was powerful and unwavering in front of the moon elves who were tens of years his senior. "We fight them before they reach here and save as many clans on their way to et the Moon Elf Lord!"

Unbeknownst to him, his words are making a strong impact on most of the patriarchs. Whether they personally know him or not, they are convinced by the strong, charismatic leadership that the handso young moon elf is showing.

"Right! We can’t just let this go. We have friends who still haven’t arrived yet. Just like us, they only have one dream: to et the Moon Elf Lord. We should help them make that happen!"

"Master Xagrien was spot on. We are proud subordinates of our Moon Elf Lord. There’s no way that we will let our enemies break into our territory and kill us," Dan from the Adriha Clan declared.

The atmosphere was bubbling with excitent and determination, and the center of it all was not the Moon Elf Lord but his mate.

Luis tried his best to hide his smile. He’s maintaining an unbiased expression that neither disagrees nor agrees, but deep inside, he’s screaming, "That’s my man!"

It’s not usual for Xagrien to speak in front of everyone, so seeing this situation unfold made Luis realize that his handso mate was starting to change. His gorgeous half-dragon daddy is finally stretching his majestic wings.

Luis let the enthusiasm and motivation thoroughly sink in his subordinates before taking the center and saying the plans he had in mind.

"While doubts are still lingering around, we don’t have the luxury of ti to adopt a wait-and-see attitude. We are currently forced to be in a sink-or-swim situation. Collective actions must be taken as early as now. That’s why I asked the clans occupying the edge of the Amber Forest vigilant," Luis gave each Legland and Nicol a aningful look, and since they were the ones who took charge of disseminating his orders, they all nodded.

"However, that is not even a solution to deal with these trespassers. We needed more vigorous actions because there are others outside whose security is threatened."

Luis may not directly show his support to his mate, but by emphasizing this statent, he recognizes Xagrien’s ideas. This is obvious to those who are a little clever in reading the room, but to so who take his words at face value, this is simply their Lord being concerned towards them.

Ali, from Isan Clan, shot a piercing look at Xagrien and thought, "This man had the Moon Elf Lord in the palm of his hands. How infuriating. If only I’m the Moon Elf Lord’s mate, then..."

The man’s gaze was full of jealousy, but it was only fleeting, so most of the individuals present missed it, Luis included.

"The idea I have in mind is pretty basic. Just like when the root crawlers started invading the Amber Forest, we will use spear and shield tactics. This is the safest approach since we still don’t know how many enemies we are talking about."

"One force will stay and guard the Amber Forest, and at the sa ti, they will be responsible for providing tily backup. The offense group, or the spear group, will be responsible for scouring the nearby area, locating the enemies, and finding and helping every moon elf arrive safely in the Amber Forest. That’s it."

Dan from the Adriha Clan raised his hand and asked, "My Lord, I might be missing sothing, but can I ask just for clarification? Will the offense group be responsible for fighting these dragons?"

The others looked at Dan confusedly. Isn’t that automatically under the offense’s responsibility? They’re already facing the enemies, so they should attack it head-on!

Luis smiled appreciatively at the sharp and ticulous patriarch.

"No, the offense group should never fight with the enemy once they find out their basic profile, where they stay, and how many they are. They will operate under my strict order to retreat imdiately and safely to Woodrill City once the enemies spot them. This order should be fulfilled unconditionally, especially to anyone who got the mark of the Blood Dragon."

Everyone looked at Moon Elf Lord, eyes wide. Isn’t this order the sa as inviting the enemy to their door?!
