Chapter 211: Pass Or Fail (5)

A tall figure of a man of a man stopped in front of the tent where the eting was held.

"Pardon

for disturbing you, My Lord. Can I talk to you for a mont?" Ali, the patriarch of the Isan Clan, spoke right from outside the tent. He waited for the Moon Elf Lord’s response with his head lowered, hiding the cunning look in his eyes. He wanted to sneak a conversation with the Moon Elf Lord so that he could slowly win the powerful bearer’s favor.

It doesn’t matter if the Moon Elf Lord has a mate or is pregnant. He can use ti to his advantage, given his long life. Besides, he will not silently wait for his turn.

Ali exercised his patience and waited for the Moon Elf Lord’s beckoning.

However, the sands of ti flowed continuously, but still, there was no response from the inside.

"My Lord?" The red-haired handso moon elf parted the draping curtain and entered the tent. There’s no presence of the Moon Elf Lord at all. Ali thought that maybe the Moon Elf Lord went to do his work, so he decided to return in the anti. He took a step back when he suddenly saw a lying tumbler on the ground. Its contents are spilled all over the ground. He picked it up and sniffed the scent of the potion. It was a mixture of tangy, bitter, and sweet slls.

Ali’s silver eyes flashed a hint of recognition in his eyes.

"The Moon Elf Lord is already pregnant. Why did he have to take this potion to increase his fertility?"

A cryptic smile slowly crept on his lips. "Seriously, did the Moon Elf Lord choose an idiot for a mate? He just keeps leaving his potential weakness all over the place like dried leaves."

Ali made a low, malicious laugh, "Well since the Moon Elf Lord is not here, I will just move on and do my work." He lightly tossed the tumbler to the side, completely emptying the potion inside it.

"Soone would love to hear a story." Ali’s steps are unhurried and stable as he walks out of the tent. The vicious smile on his lips did not falter while thinking of ways to achieve his goal of getting the Moon Elf Lord.

After Luis was taken to the infirmary, Rean frantically checked the condition of the Moon Elf Lord. The healer is worried that their lord’s health was affected by the sadness of failing to be pregnant. Among the bearers, the newly mated bearers are constantly experiencing such a malady, especially if they expect it for the first ti.

However, seeing how lovey-dovey the Moon Elf Lord was with his mate, Rean figured out that his concerns were far-fetched. In fact, aside from the fact that the Moon Elf Lord was visibly pale and was said to have thrown up earlier, the bearer in front of him is the image of a healthy and happy bearer. Their lord is like a flower blooming after a rain shower.

"As expected of the Moon Elf Lord, his emotional fortitude is extraordinary!" Rean uttered in his mind as he saw the bright smile on the other’s face.

Rean did an extensive check-up on Luis, but ultimately, he found nothing at all. With Luis’ persistence and solid testimony that he is fine, Rean had no choice but to let go of the Moon Elf Lord.

However, it’s not like Luis did not suffer any loss. His concerned subordinates did their best to send him to rest.

"No, My Lord. We cannot do that," Nicol’s obstinate response to Luis’ statent that he will lead the Comncent of the House Distribution. His back was straight and stiff as he sat in the living room of the Moon Elf Lord’s house. Nicol steeled himself not to be swayed by the adorable whining of the Moon Elf Lord. Actually, he is not the only one who swore this promise, Legland also.

"Eh?" Luis looked dumbfounded at his two serious subordinates. They looked as if they were heading to war based on their flat expressions. "I already told you that I happened to have an upset stomach, and my sharp nose is just acting up. That is why I threw up, right?"

Only silence answered Luis.

"Don’t tell

the program will be scrapped because of this? We can’t do that! Giving our people ho is not sothing we must not delay any longer!"

The two handso male moon elves blinked their eyes in confusion. Who said that they would cancel the house distribution? It seems like their lord went overboard in doing advanced thinking.

Legland softened his facial muscles and said in an assuring tone, "My Lord, worry not. The House and Land Distribution will be done as scheduled. In fact, everyone is working hard at this mont. They all wanted to shoulder a part of your work, My Lord. They wanted to let you rest since you are with a child now."

Luis sat stiffly after hearing that. "So I see that Rean didn’t inform you about it, huh?"

He subconsciously touched his chest to feel if his heart would hurt after hearing the word that made him cry hard recently. Much to his surprise, the pain he supposedly felt was no longer present. There is a little discomfort, but all in all, it seems like he finally got over it.

"What is it, My Lord?"

The two male moon elves looked at each other for a second and turned to Luis in order to give their full attention to the Moon Elf Lord.

"You see, I—" Luis was about to say what he discovered— that he is not pregnant— when Xagrien got out of the kitchen with a covered pot. Luis’ eyes instantly shot at the man approaching him. With a pair of fluffy mittens, the handso male god sent the perverted Moon Elf Lord to fantasy land.

For a mont, a vision where Xagrien was butt naked with only apron covering his well-sculpted body flashed on the Moon Elf Lord’s mind. A dostic hunk ready to serve him anyti and anywhere in their ho.

Luis felt himself feverish just imagining it, and he must admit that he was looking forward to seeing them all.

"—your nausea is here," a seemingly distant voice of Xagrien snapped Luis out of his reverie.

"W-What was that?" Luis asked his lover once again.

"I said the herbs to treat your nausea are ready," Xagrien answered while putting the pot down on the wooden coffee table.

"Oh, that!" Luis guiltily laughed as he rembered that he had asked Rean to pack sothing that could ease nausea just in case he needed one. Gosh, he really hopes that it is not obvious that he is lusting for Xagrien right now.

To avoid looking suspicious, he raised thumbs at his lover and winked, "Thanks for preparing it for . You’re the best!"

Xagrien didn’t say a word to respond. The male god just swiftly bent down and planted a feather-light kiss on his cheeks. The movent was so sudden and cunning that Luis didn’t have ti to react, or even if he did have, the ti he spent with the man programd him not to dodge any of Xagrien’s advances.

"Ehek!" the rosy atmosphere was interrupted by Legland, who choked with his saliva.

Luis weakly pushed the man’s face away with a vibrant blush on his face. Xagrien didn’t fight off his mate’s strength and parted with Luis. The handso youngster acted oblivious and settled beside the Moon Elf Lord.

"Ehem. Sorry about that, so what were we talking about earlier?" Luis tried hard to maintain his composure in front of his subordinates.

The two high-ranking moon elves willingly cooperated. They want to avoid being fed dog food since it is difficult for people like them to digest it.

One is a loveless ascetic, while the other is a husband who misses his mate but is currently tied to duty.

Nicol said, "You are about to say what Rean didn’t say to Legland, My Lord."

"Oh, that? Rean must not have ntioned that I tested negative for the pregnancy test," Luis said nonchalantly. He shrugged his shoulders like it’s not a big deal.

On the other hand, Legland and Nicol looked as if an atomic bomb had exploded before them.

"My Lord?"

"I tried to test if I am pregnant using the Eclipse Moon Stone, and it turned out that I am not."

Legland and Nicol just looked at Luis in silence. The two of them found it hard to say anything.

"I am okay now. I look okay. I feel okay—no need to worry about . I was just saying that, in case you guys are wondering." Luis said with a light smile on his face. Xagrien, who was silent beside him, lightly touched his arm, probably to give him strength.

"I already accepted that if we didn’t achieve it on the first try, we can try again in our lifeti," The Moon Elf Lord leaned forward to open the pot of dicine in front of him. Rean provided him herbs that were said to give off nthol vapor that opens the airways if one had a cold while alleviating headache and dizziness.

Based on the description, this dicine should be close to Eucalyptus. Luis is looking forward to this since he is a fan of nthol linint. For him, it is a cure-all to every illness of a worker like him.

However, the comfort he expected did not co after opening the earthen pot. A sickening, strong sll accompanied the white vapor coming from the pot.

Instinctively, he pulled himself away from the pot and covered his nose with his hands. Xagrien, on the other hand, was quick to take away the dicine pot thanks to his magic. Now, it was floating several ters away from them.

Xagrien imdiately checked his condition to see if he was okay. Thankfully, his urge to puke was handled beforehand, or else Luis was sure he would make a ss in their receiving area.

The two handso moon elves sitting before them asked the sa question, and Luis reassured them.

"I just found the sll of that concoction too strong. That is why I reacted this way."

"My Lord," Nicol looks at him as if he is piecing together sothing inside his head. "Did you try the test again? I don’t an to lead you on, My Lord. But considering all the symptoms you are exhibiting, I think you really need to retake the test. Just to be certain."

That is the last statent that Nicol said to him before the two left to do their tasks.

Luis doesn’t have the ti to spell envy to his subordinates that they have sothing to do. His head was preoccupied with Nicol’s words.

"Retake the Eclipsed Moon Stone Pregnancy Test, huh?" Luis uttered while his eyes were glued to the ceiling. He is laying on the bed, waiting for the ti to pass by. It’s been a while since Nicol and Legland left so, he got a lot of rest. Probably by now, the distribution of the houses is happening under the lead of Nicol and Legland.

"I support you if you opt to do it again," Xagrien said while he was busy folding the sets of their clothes, his unwavering purple eyes revealing that he is adamant to stay by Luis’ side, whatever his decision is.

"Okay," Luis’ chest felt warm. "I will go to Rean’s and ask for another Eclipse Moon Stone to test it for the second— wait, I think I already did a second test. I haven’t checked the result for that!"

Luis snappily sat up from the bed. He didn’t bother to complain about the nausea caused by his sudden movent. The Moon Elf Lord is simply thrilled and curious about the new result.

"Xagrien, rember the black or gray stone I dropped the other day? Did you see it?"

The man looked at him thoughtfully as if he was retracing events that happened. Xagrien finds it easy since, most of the ti, they are on the bed, fucking. The ti when Luis dropped it was the sa ti he decided to keep their distance from whatever the result showed by that piece of rock. So naturally, he could rember it.

"Yes, I rember it, and no, I didn’t see it,"

Luis stood up and started to search for it on the floor and every nook and cranny of the room. There’s no need to ask Xagrien to help him. The man was crouching his massive back, searching for the Eclipse Moon Stone. However, they almost threw the stone in complete disarray, yet the stone is nowhere to be found.

"Did you not see any stone, Xagrien?" Luis asked with a tone of complete resignation. They should just go to the infirmary to ask for a new one and not waste their ti.

"No, I didn’t find any black or gray stone you are talking about. All I found was a white Moon Stone that you might have used in training." Xagrien answered while showing the pebble-sized rock in front of him.

Luis looked at Xagrien quizzically, "What do you an? I never needed to absorb nature’s energy from the Moon Stones. My Nature’s Energy value is infinite. You saw that in the system."

All his training was mainly about controlling the energy since that is what he needed the most. Hence, Moon Stone is of no use for them. "Shouldn’t it be yours, Xagrien?"

"No, my focus was on the mana and magic these days. If I consu anything, then it should be mana stone, not moon stone."

Hearing this answer from his lover, so ridiculous idea started to surface in his head. "Holy shit— what could be the odds that this is..."
