Chapter 181: That Drunken Brawl That Went Down To History (5)

If the audience noticed the evasive actions of the Moon Elf Lord, then naturally his opponents are pretty much aware of it too!

"My lord! This isn’t fair! How co you are not fighting us seriously? I am fed up taking in your dust every ti I am trying to land a hit on you!" Feren loudly complained through the smoke and hot fire that spread all over the open field.

A huge patch of land has already lost its grasses, leaving only ashes.

The old man huffed and conjured a halberd.

"Please start doing your counterattack! I want to taste what it feels like to be pressed down by the Moon Elf Lord."

Legland stopped in the side with his Fla Guardian Armor and scorching hot red blade. "That’s right, my lord! Please start attacking us too. But anyway, how did you manage to hone such godlike reflexes? Can you tell

your secret?"

Nicol also halted conjuring the yellow fire orbs around him. Silently watching the others with his crimson-red eyes.

Because of the strenuous physical movents, all four of them already shed off the tipsiness.

Luis stood in the centre of his three subordinates. His senses discreetly scanned his surroundings. Once he cleared that there were no hidden traps or tricks around the cracked ground and scattered adamantium weapons that impaled the ground, he finally loosened up.

From his back, he held his two wooden sticks to his side.

"Well, I can help you train once we are done, Legland," Luis answered with his eyes fixed on the handso face of the man.

"But I am telling you, it will not be easy."

Feren internally nodded. He agreed to the lord’s word, especially to the last statent.

The action that the Moon Elf Lord executed needed a long and tireso ti of training and not anyone could pull that off.

Only the ones who are fearless or desperate enough to use their body as weapons could imitate the Moon Elf Lord.

But how co their lord has this kind of adeptness? In Feren’s opinion, only the people who’ve been in the face of certain death multiple tis could possess such skill.

Old Man Feren shook that budding curiosity off of his mind.

His concern was to have a proper fight with the Moon Elf Lord!

If he couldn’t ask the Moon Elf Lord to take this fight seriously then he is more than ready to play the rascal and force him to counterattack!

Discreetly, Feren silently mobilized his nature’s energy. Preparing for a sneak attack.

"My lord!" Old Man Feren impatiently called Luis.

"What?" Luis rolled his eyes. "I am not simply ssing with you. I am also studying your movents and mannerisms as your opponent."

The Moon Elf Lord’s dark green eyes beco serious. The next words that he says were transmitted via telepathy.

[Nicol, you are holding yourself back. Are you worried that I might get hurt because of your flesh-eating fla?]

The silent head priest slightly widened his eyes after hearing the voice inside his head. But this is only for a short ti as he quickly regained composure.

[No, my lord. I am just...] the brown-haired moon elf’s words disappeared before he could even finish his sentence.

Even without asking, Luis is slightly aware that it is not the case and his subordinate confird it.

[Or are you afraid of your fire?] He asked.

This has been a recurring concern among the fire ability users in the apocalypse. Most of them are afraid that their violent skills would cause them to hurt other people or destroy the limited resources that they have.

Luis wonders if this is the case for Nicol because of the conservative way of using his fire. It’s like Nicol is forcibly using a valve to control his firepower.

[No, my lord.] The head priest’s decisive reply. He is not like this because he is afraid of his fla. His instinct was quite the opposite actually. He wants to let everything out and show the great power that he holds.

However, this isn’t the only thing that he has. He’s got a very stupid reason that holds him back.

Nicol turned his head to the right and made a fleeting side glance at that certain soone from his family.

’I hate to admit that I am affected by ill-aning words but in this situation, I cannot deny that I am slightly influenced.’

’Is that a bombastic side-eye? Did I annoy Nicol with my ddling?’ Luis is internally ssing with his hair.

’Such a blunder Luis! How can you do this?! If my personal problems are touched by a nosy person, I would be mad too!’

[Ahh, Legland. It’s alright if you don’t go into details. I understand that. Just rember that you and your power are one and it is you who dictates how it would take form and its limitations. Don’t overly stress yourself and rember I’m always here rooting for you. Fighting!]

The Moon Elf Lord hastily said before cutting off the connection. Luis doesn’t know why he blurted those words. He just sohow rembers that in a drama or ani that he once watched.

’Well, fuck it. Let’s just go back to the real fight.’ he said to himself and started to harden the sticks in his hands using his skill.

’I dictate my limitations huh?’ Nicol relaxed his shoulders. He isn’t sure since when it started but now that he has loosened up, he realises that his back is full of tension. Their moon elf lord made him feel warm. And from this day, he swore to protect that fire from extinguishing even at the cost of his own life.

’’Thank you, my lord, for waking

up.’

Unbeknownst to Luis, his rumblings lit a spark in the ember that Nicol himself wasn’t aware of.

And it will appear soon, signalling the massive changes among the moon elf race.

"Let’s get serious now, shall we?" Luis made sure that he said that coolly.

"You don’t have to say that, my Lord. I am preparing for a big move," Feren said, his golden eyes shining brightly under the moonless sky. The confident smirk that was plastered on his face gave an eerie feeling to the red and yellow light from the fire.

This ti, Luis’ sensitivity to energy was triggered and he finally saw the thing hovering above him. "You prepared sothing grand, huh?"

Luis made a small laugh as he could feel his instinct nagging him. ’This one is fairly dangerous.’

Back to the audience, everyone is watching this with their hearts almost high up on their throats.

"Is Feren crazy? How could he pull such a grand attack in a simple brawl!" One elder who knows about Feren complained.

The two other elders who were standing beside him responded.

"You ask if Feren is crazy? You should ask sothing new. He has always been eccentric, almost insane."

"Yes, agree. But isn’t it too much to use his ultimate technique, Heaven’s Judgent?"

"That is basically what I said! Using that giant gavel is a sure kill to its target!" The old man said.

Heaven’s Judgent was a self-made technique by Feren. The nature’s energy needed to create this one humongous gavel that could easily obliterate a hill was exorbitant. However, it has one disadvantage. Feren could only control it in one way, that is by dropping it.

But despite this shortcoming, this attack took advantage of the relationship between weight and gravity. Making this technique inescapable because of its improved speed.

Truly, it is a judgnt from heaven indeed.

"Maybe it’s because it is the Moon Elf Lord that he is dealing with? For sure, the Moon Elf Lord can get out of its area of damage easily."

The speaker suddenly turned still with his eyes nailed to the direction of their lord.

"Wait, why is the Moon Elf Lord not moving at all?"

"Based on the Moon Elf Lord’s positioning, there is a fat chance that he intends to counter it," a mysterious man wearing a hooded cloak suddenly spoke, catching everyone around him off guard.

However, he didn’t mind their reaction at all as he was focusing on the devastation in the open field.

’At least eight dragons are needed to cause such damage at the sa ti as these moon elves. What a freak race.’

"Now I can understand why even though there has been no Moon Elf Lord for a thousand years, the lords of different races didn’t move them at all. They are natural disasters." Xerxes murmured.

Luis didn’t move an inch in his place. As crazy as the situation he was currently in, Luis had this silly idea of taking it head-on.

"Let’s see if I can cut that up with this 200 per cent hardened wood," Luis declared the mont he felt the presence of the falling gavel from the sky closing in on him.

His hands radiated a green light and there was a significant visual change in the wooden sticks he was holding. It beca a darker shade of brown.

He took a stance but before he knew it, he saw a bright purple line in his peripheral vision before soone suddenly lifted him in the air and flew him out of Feren’s attack.

"Wait! What the-"

Boom!

The impact shook the ground and even the water in the nearby lake was startled.

Luis could feel so droplets of water hitting his feet as he realized that they were hovering on the lake.

Split second, that is the approximate ti that took them to move from where he was standing to this place.

It is unbelievable that they traveled a couple of hundred ters in such a nick of ti.

But they did it or should he say; Xagrien did it.

"You really have a way of making a grand entrance, Daddy. And I think you got faster now."

"I need to because there is a baby who presents himself to trouble- wait? What is this weird sll coming from you?" Xagrien’s turned dark. "Did you drink sothing?"

Luis’ heart started to beat wildly. Sharp intuition is not needed to know that he ssed up.
