Chapter 176: The Cunning Moon Elf Lord

The Moon Elf Lord started moving fleetingly and it didn’t take long for him to fill every food container up.

’This is my love for you jerk. I swear if you don’t eat it all. I’ll freaking end you, Xagrien!’ Luis harrumphed as he looked at the filled food boxes.

His reputation was put at stake for the sake of his lovely gesture.

Is there anything greater than his love for that brute?

Nothing!

Satisfied, Luis packed away all the containers and set it aside.

With an absolute tacit understanding, Olyn stood up, "I will put it away for safe keeping, My Lord."

"Thank you, Olyn. You’re the best!" For so reason, Luis felt extra touched for this thoughtful action of his servant.

Nicol and Legland looked at each other. It is natural for the two of them to read the undercurrent of the lord’s actions since they are clear on the real score between their lord and that young warrior.

But they have no intention to make it known to anyone aside from them.

After this mini show of the Moon Elf Lord, they finally got to enjoy the al that experienced a delay.

Luis made this dinner as an opportunity to socialize with the leaders of the clan. There are a lot of things that he doesn’t know yet so he wanted to learn more from these guys.

Bullshits and complints started flying around the table.

"Uuuuhhmm! This braised one-horned rabbit dish from Kiga Clan was divine! I love it!"

"How did the Gilin Clan make the dressing of this salad? So good! I want to have this soti during breakfast."

"Plu swallowtails are pretty fast fliers! The Heran Clan must be one of the most skillful hunters in the entire race for you to catch them."

These incessant praises and the easygoing attitude of the Moon Elf Lord rendered the wise leaders of the clans giddy.

They all acted like they are intoxicated by Luis’ complint and the latter was generous to give them just that.

If it’s flattering people, Luis has tons of experience as a nine-to-five worker.

They started bragging to themselves, spitting facts here and there.

The Moon Elf Lord would either nod, exclaid and give complints

This is nothing to normal folks who are well connected to others but for these patriarchs who are originally confined to their own clans, the first taste of bragging was as sweet and as addicting as honey.

"Our Moon Elf Lord is quite cunning, don’t you think?" Old Feren whispered to his student and disciple, Legland.

"He has always been like that, that’s why I highly respect him."

Nicol, who heard this exchange, simply nodded. He is busy taking notes on how the moon elf lord chard and put these people in the palm of his hands.

"By the way, My Lord," he heard a familiar voice speak. "Actually, the best product of the Ris Clan isn’t among this dish. I wonder if the Moon Elf Lord is interested in getting a taste of it?"

Luis looked at Nihil, a little curious. Then he turned to Nicol, who was wearing a displeased look.

"The Moon Elf Lord is still too young to drink that, Patriarch Nihil," Nicol didn’t spare his father from his authoritative mouth.

The old man who physically looks like Nicol from the far future, creased his forehead. Obviously not liking how his son treated him.

Luis may sowhat notice this non-verbal exchange but it is far from his attention now since heard the words of his Head Priest.

’Too young to drink? Is it the sa thing that I am thinking of?’

The excitent started to rush in his chest.

"What kind of drink are you talking about, Nihil?" Luis asked.

A smile of victory blood on the old face of the Ris Clan’s patriarch.

"Let

call my youngest son Fireal, My Lord," Nihil humbly asked.

Luis said okay, thinking that the drink may be in the possession of the young man ntioned.

However, the expression on Nicol’s face was hard to read but behind his red pupils is anger that is hard to mask.

Sibal saw this and he couldn’t help but be mindful of the next things that would happen.

His orc’s instincts signal him that what happens from now on will anger his friend, Xagrien.

"Thank you, My Lord," Nihil stood up and gestured to soone from the other table to go where they were.

On the other side, Ali was silently gritting his teeth, ’This old man is also after what I wanted!’

He tried to suppress the killing intent that’s been trying to break through his self-restraint.

"Father..." a young and handso man approached them while holding a large smooth-bodied pottery bottle.

His hair was as brown as Nicol’s. However, his skin tone was visibly lighter than his older brother’s olive-brown skin.

As a part of the federation of face-cons, Luis’ eyes strayed on the man’s facial features. Contrary to Nicol who looked like a beautiful Greek statue, gorgeous yet stiff. Fireal’s face is much easier on the eyes.

He strikes him as soone who is always smiling. This young man has the face of an idol who is in charge of being the main visual.

"I’ve been thinking about this for quite so ti, moon elves are all visually pleasing, huh? I never saw anyone who looked less than handso or attractive."

Believe it or not, this is an innocent statent. Just Luis stating the facts.

But it seems like the pimp of a father took it as a complint for his son.

Nihil heartily laughed, "My lord, I am telling you, this son of mine got all the good qualities that he may inherit from

and his mother-bearer. Better temperant. More competent. Stronger warrior."

The table suddenly turned cold. If Luis didn’t understand the passive aning behind this statent then he is a huge idiot.

The good impression of the Ris Clan’s patriarch that he is trying hard to keep from plumting went into a downward spiral.

Insulting his trusted subordinate in front of him is an insult to Luis also.

He felt bad for Nicol.

However, since this is a family problem, Luis tried to control himself. He took a deep breath and only smiled.

"Brother..." Fireal greeted Nicol, sadness evident in his face and voice.

The Moon Elf Lord saw the concern that was hiding in the eyes of the young man.

That is genuine. Luis is a hundred percent sure about that.

Plus point to this idol-like moon elf in front of him.

Now in a better mood, Luis laughed out loud.

"Oh, co on, Patriarch Nihil. Don’t be too hard on yourself. It’s already a great blessing to have a sensible and competent son. It would be an overkill if you’re also like them," Luis said in the happiest way.

Because of this, the senile old man didn’t comprehend it completely. Nihil just laughed, "Yes, whoever my son would be mated with is definitely lucky."

However, this is not the case for others who are keenly listening just like Nicol.

"My Lord is really..." he only trailed off. He wants to learn more from the Moon Elf Lord because his words and actions are full of wisdom.

"My lord is amazing, he already judged the real character of your father in such a brief exchange."

Nicol responded to Legland without looking back, "Well, nothing goes unseen in the eyes of our Moon Elf Lord."
