Chapter 135: Own Ulterior motives Chapter 135: Own Ulterior motives There’s a small step at the entrance where shoes are changed.

Liam leans on the shoe cabinet to stand up, and Mr.

Boris carries his wheelchair in.

Liam hops up on one foot.

He glances at Maureen, trying to hop in a nonchalant and handso manner.

But how cool and handso could he possibly look hopping around on a single foot?

Liam feels a bit embarrassed, murmuring discontented, “Who decided to put this step here?” Maureen watches from the side, her heart pounding.

She subconsciously raises her hand to help him, fearing a second injury due to a slippery tiled floor.

However, Liam, who seems to intentionally show off his skills, or sothing like that, refuses her help and smoothly completes a series of movents.

Maureen: “Once he’s up, Mr.

Boris quickly pushes the wheelchair behind him.

He holds onto the handles, sits back down in the wheelchair, raises one plastered leg, and with great effort, positions his plastered foot correctly.

He then raises his handso eyebrows and looks at Maureen.

Maureen: “…” What’s there to be proud of?

After Liam was discharged from the hospital, he encountered a problem.

If it were his left arm that had been fractured, it wouldn’t have been a big deal, as one hand wouldn’t pose a problem, but it was his ankle that had been fractured.

He had no problem hopping around on one foot, but things were going to be extrely difficult when he wanted to go into the bathroom to take a shower.

Maureen brings up this problem.

Mr.

Boris said, “Don’t worry, your grandpa had already arranged a caregiver for Liam yesterday, they will arrive shortly.

Also, I will be on call 24/7.” Liam was used to being alone outside, and it was apparent that he was reluctant to let the caregiver into his ho.

Just thinking about needing physical assistance from another person as a towering 6 foot 2 tall man gave him goosebumps.

He furrowed his brow and wheeled himself toward the sofa, his face sullen, “Why are you being so nosy?

I’ve already said that I can get around with a crutch!” Mr.

Boris quickly said, “This is out of Liam’s grandpa’s concern.

Sir, please, you mustn’t say this in front of him, or else there’ll be another argunt.” Maureen put her backpack on the bar counter and suggested, “Why not—” Both of them turned to look at her.

“I’ll do it instead.” ” Mr.

Boris gasped, “Are you sure you’re willing to do this?

” Mr.

Boris had thought that Maureen was just innocently infatuated with Liam and rely wanted to enjoy the benefits from dating a rich heir.

What was the need to personally take care of him?

This was beyond Mr.

Boris’s expectations.

Maureen wondered what Mr.

Boris was thinking and assud that he thought she wanted to earn money from being a caregiver.

She quickly waved her hand to dispel this idea, “Feel free to hire a caregiver.

But Liam doesn’t like strangers, right?

It will be more convenient if I do it.

However, I’m not strong enough, so if anything happens, I’d need you to co along at any ti.” Mr.

Boris looked at Liam.

His handso face was already flushed.

Mr.

Boris silently took a bite of his snack.

He thought to himself, isn’t it quite willing to have physical contact now?

Maureen looked at Liam’s cast leg and added, “Mainly because I am not entirely at ease.

The fracture should not get wet, he must be very careful when taking a bath.” Taking a bath?

So, in their wild imagination, they began contemplating bathing him?!

Can this really happen?

Is this even allowed?

Liam tried his best to maintain his composure, but the joy and satisfaction on his face were screaming.

He glanced elsewhere, his ears flushed red, and he pretended to compromise, “Well, then that’s what we’ll be.” And so, Maureen moved in.

This ti the stay might be a bit long.

When Mr.

Boris took her to fetch her belongings, she packed everything at once.

Liam was on tenterhooks.

As he watched Mr.

Boris helped her lug her suitcase in, holding multiple bags, his excitent was through the roof.

But Liam never expected that he had overthought things.

During the bath ti in the evening, Maureen was perfectly gentlemanly.

She prepared the water in the bathtub, tested the water temperature, laid a non-slip towel on the floor, and told Liam, “It’s ready.” Liam stood on one foot in the bathroom, resting his hands on the counter before the sink.

His heart pounded, filled with anxiety.

He stared at his reflection in the mirror, ntally preparing for a long ti.

He even pulled up his shirt to glance at his abs, wet his fringe with water, creating the effect of wet black short hair.

Just then, from the living room ca the sound of Maureen laughing uproariously at so silly drama she was watching on her tablet.

” Liam couldn’t help but call out, “Maureen, what are you doing?” “What’s up?” Maureen, still holding her tablet and pausing the video, walked outside the bathroom, “Have you started bathing yet?

Be careful, don’t slip.

The bathrobe is on the side.” Liam: ” Maureen paused for a mont, her tone taking on a strange quality, “You couldn’t be thinking that when I offered to take care of you, I ant helping you shower, could you?” Upon hearing this, Liam’s fair neck turned a shade of red, followed by his agitated stomping in the bathroom, “Little Mask, what kind of yellow garbage is within your brain?!

I didn’t even think about it that way, okay?

What kind of nonsense runs through your mind all day?

I’m almost undressed, you are not allowed in!

Don’t try to peep at !” Maureen: “…” Maureen felt a sudden heat rise to her face.

What nonsense, she wouldn’t dare to spy on him.

—— Although she couldn’t resist stealing a few glances through the bathroom’s glass door.

Boys really do look attractive, even their tall, misty silhouettes.

Suppressing the turmoil within her heart, Maureen turned to walk away.

Feeling dejected, Liam slowly disrobed.

His shirt was easy enough to shed, but his pants proved a bit more challenging.

However, it wasn’t a dire issue.

The splint was firm and solid, his left ankle almost immovable.

All he needed to do was to first remove one pant leg, then bend his injured leg and slip the other pant leg off from the ankle.

Liam stepped into the tub, his left leg propped outside.

Maureen continued watching the drama on the couch, but it was clear her attention was entirely not on the screen anymore.

She shifted her gaze towards the bathroom, vigilant of any noise from within.

Fortunately, Liam possessed excellent balance.

Everything went smoothly from start to finish.

When Liam, dressed in a white robe, erged, his hair slightly wet, eyes deep, water droplets tracing the line of his jaw and dripping onto his collarbone.

His plaster-cast-left ankle and hopping movent did appear a little incongruous, yet it didn’t overshadow his overall attractiveness.

This was the first ti Maureen had seen him fresh out of the bath, and she couldn’t help staring.

Leaning against the door, arms crossed and in an utterly good mood, Liam raised an eyebrow smugly at her, “Co on, look all you want.

No need to hold back.” He had spent quite a ti preparing in the bathroom before erging.

Now it was his turn to say this.

This made Maureen smile.

However, unlike Liam who would never admit or contradict himself, she was upfront, “My boyfriend is really handso.” Imdiately, Liam couldn’t keep a straight face, his ears turning red.

Maureen moved to help him onto a wheelchair.

“It’s already half past ten.

Do you want to sleep or watch TV?” Maureen asked him.

“Let’s sit on the couch for a bit and watch TV.” Liam’s cheeks were still flushed.

He took a mont to stabilize his emotions, exerting every effort to appear ‘innocent’ and ‘mind free of inappropriate thoughts’.

He then hopped towards the wheelchair and sat down.

Maureen pushes him towards the sofa, saying, “You can watch TV for a while, I’m going to take a shower.

If you need anything, just call .

The blanket is next to you, don’t catch a cold.” Liam replied, “Okay.” He didn’t want to go to sleep this early.

The two of them had separate rooms, and as soon as he went into his own room, he wouldn’t be able to see her.

People are strange creatures.

They’re together every mont, but it still doesn’t seem enough; there’s still a yearning that itches inside the heart.

Sotis, Liam feels that having Maureen by his side is not enough.

His possessiveness is never satisfied.

He wants to keep her in his pocket so he can see her, hear her, and touch her at any given ti.

Ideally, she would only have eyes for him, only listen to him.

Before Maureen went to school to get so things, she had Mr.

Boris accompany her to do so shopping, including a new set of pajamas.

After taking a shower and drying her hair, she changed into her fluffy pajamas and ca out.

Initially, Liam was looking intently at the bathroom, but when he heard movent, he imdiately diverted his gaze, pretending to be engrossed in watching sothing on the tablet.

“Why don’t you have a TV in your ho?” Maureen ca over and surveyed the empty surroundings.

There was simply not enough furniture.

The lights gave off a cold hue, the bar counter was made of marble, devoid of any superfluous coasters or cushions, making the whole apartnt look very desolate.

Liam, with his left leg lazily propped up on the coffee table, finally lifted his eyelids.

Thinking she wanted to watch TV, he said, “We can buy a TV tomorrow and have Mr.

Boris ca over to supervise the installation.” Maureen laughed, ” Mr.

Boris said you wouldn’t let him in before, why now…” She was indeed reaping the benefits and yet playing innocent.

Liam’s face turned red again, he cast his eyes downward, “For the sake of my significant other, it’s okay to make so small compromises.” Maureen ca over and sat beside him, looking at the ti, it was suddenly already eleven o’clock.

Logically, it was already Maureen’s bedti, but she didn’t feel the least bit tired.

She was a bit worried about Liam.

She also didn’t want to part just yet.

Although it was just moving into two separate rooms, it felt like they were going to be apart again for seven or eight hours.

Liam suddenly suggested, “Shall we watch TV a bit longer?” Maureen quietly replied, “Okay.” Both of them had their own ulterior motives, suppressing their shyness, pretending to be engrossed in the TV show, but in actuality, their thoughts were not on the television at all.
