-Su Yuer's voice started getting louder, her deanour getting more domineering.

Even though Su Chen never considered Su Yuer her real mother. He was just counting on the fact that like in all those villain novels, the parents love their son a lot and die taking revenge for him. But hearing Su Yuer's heartfelt words and her taking his side so strongly, his eyes beca a little Misty.
He had planned that after the confrontation and with his mother's attitude, he will easily expose Su Yinger's true hidden colours.
