The more they oppose, the more it shows that I am doing the right thing Chapter 762 - 388: The End of Fate's Staircase2
The Radiance covered everything within sight, whether it be the demigod skeletons on the stairs, or the scarred, charred corpses scattered throughout Awad Holy City, all subrged in the pure white sea of Holy Light, cast down from above Fate's Staircase, judging all living beings and the deceased.
After a long ti, the pure white sea of light finally dried up.
If it were under rlin's Judgent, An Su's head would have already fallen, without even a chance to resist. But his head was still attached; An Su subconsciously touched his neck and nodded calmly.
It seems that the guess in his heart was correct. The Eyes of Radiance before him were not rlin Andrei, sothing he should have realized earlier!
The Light of Judgnt has been passed down for three generations. An Su copied rlin's Light of Judgnt, while rlin copied... his teacher's [Light of Judgnt]—the first Holder of Heaven's Light of Judgnt.
This was also the only original Light of Judgnt in this world, the primal Light of Judgnt! (see chapter 154)
Even as a God of Law, rlin Andrei had a teacher.
However, in the original story of the world, this character was just a background figure, without even a model, so An Su subconsciously overlooked it.
Despite never appearing, traces of His Majesty are everywhere—
An Su and rlin's Light of Judgnt originated from Him;
rlin also ntioned that it was His teacher who retired a few years ago and passed on the position to Him, sothing He could never quite co to terms with (see chapter 153)
In his youth, rlin could only cast spells using his toes, thus experiencing a bitter Virgin youth, as demanded by his teacher. (see chapter 262)
...Although there's a strange detail mixed into the above accounts, all in all, the identity of this Majesty before is becoming apparent.
The first Holder of Heaven, Faceless One, also the last Chaotic Councilor of the original Era of Chaos, and the designated Last Bishop in the original fate!
rlin was the strongest demigod of the Radiant Era; hence, His master was the strongest demigod of the Era of Chaos.
rlin allowed the incident of Prince Jin Yuan's death as a focal point, then slaughtered the Milton Royal Family, leading to the descent of chaotic Nether; and the Last Bishop also allowed the death of the Chaotic Quasi-Councilors as a focal point, then slaughtered the Chaotic Council, leading to the descent of Radiant Nether!
Everything is so similar, everything fits perfectly.
From the very beginning, all endings were shown by the gods.
The fate that spans thirty thousand years spirals, different eras interlocking at the end of the staircase, the beings of all eras, the matters of all eras, the rise and fall of all eras, all clearly visible in this Mobius loop!
Fate has never risen, fate is just a fixed loop.
The endpoint is the starting point, the starting point is the endpoint; this is the Nether, the Nether of every being, the Nether of every era!
In just a mont, nurous forgotten and overlooked details surged into An Su's mind, his pupils trembling fiercely; Cersei was right, all the truths awaited him at the end of the staircase.
He squinted his eyes, scanning the residual Holy Radiance around him, his brow furrowing tighter, if he rembered correctly, the first setup of the primal Radiant Judgnt was supposed to be...
Group resurrection. (see chapter 154)
rlin's Light of Judgnt is a group-head-cast, while the orthodox Light of Judgnt is a group-halo-cast.
Judging the souls of the deceased for their virtues and sins, resurrecting the departed, guiding the lost between good and evil.
The Radiant Judgnt covered the Fate's Staircase, spilling down from the highest point of Awad, gently and rcifully sweeping across all streets, over the eyes of all the deceased.
An Su couldn't understand; clearly, the Last Bishop coldly slaughtered all councilors, coldly allowed the destruction of the Chaotic Church Nation, yet why did He still attempt to resurrect them?
—"I am not fond of killing, but it is sothing that must be done, sothing destined to be done, so I can only proceed this way."
"To hold authority in Heaven, one must obtain the unanimous votes of the Chaotic Council, so I had no choice but to kill them."
"In fate, Radiance must descend at this mont, all of Awad must be destroyed."
"These are all inevitable matters."
"Child."
Perhaps seeing An Su's confusion, a calm voice ca from above the staircase, carrying kindness and rcy.
"But we are rely mortals; we do not have the right to judge others' destinies. This is the principle that every Radiant Saint should rember."
"That's why I created [Radiant Judgnt]. That's why I entrust the right of judgnt to virtue and sin, to fate, to themselves—this is my habit."
The Faceless One gazed at An Su, his pure white pupils clear yet eerily lifeless. He lowered his glance and said calmly,
"So I randomly choose a person, use [Radiant Judgnt] on their corpse once, if they co back to life, it ans they are fated to live; if they still breathe their last, it proves they should die."
"If I can't distinguish between good and bad in a stranger, I might as well kill them and then resurrect them."
"Unfortunately..." His pure white pupils reflected An Su's face, and expressionlessly, he continued, "I have killed so many people, yet not a single one has co back to life. Although I am a follower of Radiance, everyone recomnds as a candidate for Chaos."
"Sa with this ti, we've slaughtered an era, and the outco was the sa."
He looked out over the Holy City beneath the stairs, the desolate streets still lifeless, the ghastly pale winter sunlight pouring down, casting the entire city in a cold, silvery hue, "This is what creatures call fate, a fate that is ant to be."
"An Su Moningsta."
He turned his head to look at An Su, pronouncing his full na.
In his pure white Holy Eyes, the whole world was transparent and clear. The Faceless One rely watched and saw everything he wanted to see, tilting his head with a cold smile,
"Do you have enough confidence, now being killed by —"
The Last Bishop said playfully, as if it was an interesting ga.
"Can you still be resurrected?"
Such a great resurrection spell, so rciful, such a holy effect of Radiance, how could you play it like a simulator!
'If you can't distinguish a stranger's morality, just kill him first'... Hearing this made An Su sweat profusely, this old fart definitely taught soone remarkable like rlin!
"Then I'm dood."
An Su was self-aware of his morality, and with a shrug of resignation, as if giving up the struggle:
"So, what's your plan? To kill , the soon-to-be Chaotic Councilor? And then you take this last seat, becoming the final Chaotic Councilor, and fully take control of the authority of Heaven?"
The young man made a gesture of surrender, but secretly gathered Magic Power, [Radiant Judgnt] Circuit Two ready to activate. Though he determined he wasn't rlin's match, he could delay ti by unlimited repetition of Radiant Judgnt, seeking the last chance to break the ga.
Even pushed to a desperate situation, a player would never give up hope!
The Faceless One calmly watched An Su, his pure white eyes laying everything in the world bare, all concepts revealed through his gaze;
Whether past, present or future, the truths of the era all surfaced from the depths of his pupils, like plane trees leaves dredged from a clear pool.
All of An Su's plans and sches were reflected in those pupils.
"An Su Moningsta."
Those white eyes coldly stared at An Su, where at that mont, ti lost its aning.
The entire might of Heaven pressed down, stars ceased their flow, the boundary between light and dark blurred—this was the killing intent of the first Holder of Heaven, the Last Bishop of Chaos!
No emotions, no fluctuations.
Calm as if it was fate itself.
"Are you just born."
In the oppressive gaze, the Faceless One said expressionlessly,
"I've been working for thirty thousand years, and now it seems I still have to work for you?"
Oh... An Su blinked his clear and confused eyes, tilting his puzzled head.
The Faceless One beca annoyed seeing An Su's behavior, gritting his teeth and said:
—"You're downstairs dating so many girls, creating such a chaotic scene, reluctantly climbing the stairs and complaining 'for just two days,' acting like you've suffered a great injustice, I watched all night from upstairs!"
"Climb!"
"From now on, you are only allowed to cast spells with your toes!"
