"Little child, where do you co from? Why have you co to our village?"

"Outsiders aren’t welco here. Hurry and leave, or you won’t be able to later!"

The one who spoke was an old grandmother with a head full of silver hair. Her figure was stooped, and she leaned on a shiny red cane. Her numb, dull eyes appeared quite eerie.

Behind her, figures stood, one after another. These figures included those of similar age to the grandmother, as well as younger generations, and even many children less than a ter tall. At this mont, their gazes were remarkably uniform, all fixed upon her.

This caused Yaoyao’s light eyebrows to furrow slightly. Because, before entering the village, her Ocular Art scan had indicated there should be no living beings in the village. But what exactly were these figures before her?

"I ca in to look for sothing!" Yaoyao, adhering to the principle of answering questions and striving to be a polite child, responded to the old woman’s query.

However, this sentence seed to trigger a switch. The kind-faced old woman’s aged face instantly filled with fury. She was like an enraged lion, roaring, "Scram! Get out quickly! There’s nothing you’re looking for here!"

At this mont, the cane in her hand pounded "thump-thump" on the ground. With the movent of the cane, the group of people behind her also moved. They carried hoes, and sticks, clearly intending to forcibly drive her away.

Yet, facing their aggressive deanor, Yaoyao not only showed no fear but instead, her eyes lit up.

"I know what you are."

These figures before her, to be precise, couldn’t even be called souls. They were rely lingering obsessions from before their deaths. Their true souls had long since dissipated; the only reason they still existed was due to a bizarre mutation occurring with the yin energy in this place. This also explained why her Ocular Art hadn’t detected them, because they weren’t even soul bodies, so naturally, they were "invisible" to it.

"Since you have passed on, do not remain trapped here! All of you, please rest in peace and move on!"

Yaoyao’s small face beca serious. She extended a finger, slowly pointing it out, and spiritual energy sliced through the air like a blade. Imdiately following, the scene before her blurred and faded, like a distorted, snowy film projector screen, crackling as it gradually dissipated.

"Watch out... behind you..."

The mont the illusion dissipated, it condensed into a hurried and panicked warning in the space between heaven and earth. Yaoyao, standing still, was montarily stunned upon hearing this. The next instant, she felt a chilling gust of wind brush past her ear.

"Buzz buzz buzz~" The magical artifact she wore, as if protecting its master, lit up. With a thud, it deflected the force that was ant to strike her back of the head. Even so, the imnse power sent Yaoyao’s small body flying dozens of ters away.

"Oh? You actually dodged it. You have so tricks up your sleeve!"

In the empty, deathly silent village, a clear and beautiful female voice slowly echoed. Imdiately after, Yaoyao looked up and saw a seductive woman. She had strangely appeared in the spot Yaoyao had originally occupied.

The woman’s skin was as pale as snow, and there was no trace of a living person’s aura about her. In her hand, she held a long pipe, slowly taking a puff from it and exhaling a cloud of smoke as if swallowing clouds and spitting fog.

Beside her stood a man whose yin energy was as dark as ink. He was dressed in black robes, his long hair tied up, remarkably in full ancient attire, which was quite unusual.

Yaoyao ticulously stared at that face, and mories instantly resurfaced in her mind. She had seen this ghost herself in Xie Bi’an’s wanted list; clearly, it was one of the many rogue Ghost Generals from the Underworld.

"Are you that ’Unrotting Bone’ from the last live stream draw?"

Yaoyao glanced at the woman who had just ambushed her, and her eyebrows imdiately furrowed. At this, her mories completely connected. So, after all this ti, they were actually old acquaintances! Back then, this Unrotting Bone had said it would actively seek her out, and Yaoyao had been curious, never expecting such a eting...

It seed she had fallen into the latter’s sche early on. Yaoyao wasn’t flustered; instead, she slowly stood up. Her calmness naturally stemd from her confidence in her own strength. If she were still at Tier Eight right now, perhaps she would indeed be in great danger.

As for now?

Yaoyao’s lips slowly curved into a smile. She hadn’t yet experienced the taste of an Unrotting Bone. Today would be a good day to try.

"You can actually still smile? Truly oblivious to your impending doom!"

The Unrotting Bone paused, then let out a tinkling, bell-like laugh. The next mont, her long eyebrow arched, and her voice turned cold: "Xuanqiong, move first and kill this child."

"You’ve captured so many people from this Sovereign’s organization; it’s ti you paid for it with your head."

Following the Unrotting Bone’s command, she and the Ghost General nad Xuanqiong abruptly vanished from their spots. Then, a terrifying spiritual pressure suddenly descended. Clearly,

they were moving with full force. That Unrotting Bone had extrely strong cultivation, and coupled with her origin as a corpse-zombie, she was practically invulnerable, among the top tier within Tier Eight.

Adding to that, a Ghost General, also at Tier Eight, assisting in the attack, a zombie and a ghost allied – as long as their opponent wasn’t Tier Nine, there was no reason for them to lose.

Furthermore, the Unrotting Bone’s previous probing, including engineering conflicts with the Grand Azure Sect, had already accurately estimated Yaoyao’s Tier Eight status. Thus, they confird their appearance to close the net. Unfortunately, they ultimately miscalculated one crucial detail.

Yaoyao, at present, had already stepped into Tier Nine. This ant all their previous probes and calculations would now rebound upon them.

"Hehehe, since you’ve made your move, then all of you, stay!"

Yaoyao didn’t even use the White Wuchang ’Substitute Fighter Experience Card,’ because her Tier Nine strength was enough to handle the current situation.

With a wave of her delicate arm, terrifying bolts of lightning were summoned. She was like a small Thunder God wielding divine retribution, looking down upon all, invincible.

Because this ti she was using her full, unreserved power, the mont they engaged, the Unrotting Bone and the Ghost General imdiately sensed sothing was wrong. These lightning bolts were too powerful. Once struck by them, their very essence would begin to diminish.

"Aaaah, you’ve reached Tier Nine?!"

Amidst the lightning, the Unrotting Bone let out a horrifying shriek. Her forr seductive and confident expression was long gone. At this very mont, her black eyes were instantly filled with terror. This was completely different from what she had expected. One must know that Tier Nine,

as the final hurdle before the Human Emperor Realm, signified perfection. Beings at this stage could, without exception, completely crush all cultivators below Tier Nine, and it would be an absolute crushing.

That’s why, when Yaoyao previously faced enemies at Tier Nine or even those suspected to be in the Human Emperor Realm, she had been so nervous. The reason was simple: she absolutely couldn’t defeat either of them at that ti.

"Run, run quickly!"

The Unrotting Bone finally ca to her senses, realizing she had kicked an iron plate. Instantly, all thoughts of fighting vanished. She struggled to escape, because this was too terrifying. This child before her was completely unscientific; this wasn’t how things worked.

When the Grand Azure Sect had probed, she was clearly Tier Eight. How had she suddenly beco Tier Nine? What if, in a mont, she gave an even bigger surprise? Then her hundreds of years of cultivation would be buried here.

Run, she must run!!!

This was the Unrotting Bone’s only thought. Unfortunately, after exposing all her cultivation, her retreat path was, in essence, already cut off!
