Angels?! I looked around with [Eyes of Sanguine], but there wasn’t anything. I couldn’t even see Arcana wobble.

But Alyndra’s eyes were wide open now, his knees weakening as he fell on them, blinking again and again before a bright smile appeared on his face.

So, he wasn’t looking for a peaceful sky but... Angels? I felt very sore deep in my heart when I thought over the possibility of his ass going to heaven.

My body moved towards Subaru before I even realised, Subaru surely had so trick to destroy the soul... With the commandnt still active, I could surely convince him to use them.

Huh? My eyes widened as I felt a strong grip on my shoulder.

Kael was looking at with pleading eyes, as if seeing through everything going on in my head, "If you’re doing it for my sake... Please don’t?"

This guy... My face darkened. I kept walking as Kael let out a sigh, but his face looked much more relieved.

Subaru’s eyes narrowed, his figure vanished, manifesting ten ters behind the charging fifteen giants. "Divine fold... Million slash." He muttered as he sheathed his katana with an audible clang in the tense silence.

The massive bodies of titans that were sprinting at us just a mont before had frozen the mont Subaru passed through them.

THUD! THAM! THUD!

Their hollow, human eyes were filled with pure shock and fear as they felt the world turn upside down.

"Blehhh!" I puked empty air and blood, getting on my knees as I panted. Wet and sticky flesh was sticking to every part of my face. All I could sll was a stench stronger than fifty dead rats left to rot for months, mixed with blood that slled like piss.

I blinked again and again, as far as I could see, there were tiny, about the size of a human baby’s head, mashed batches of flesh, raining down rapidly, replacing the gigantic bodies so fast that soone watching from a distance would’ve just seen titans suddenly falling apart in millions of pieces in less than a second.

Subaru rubbed his palms against themselves, shivering slightly, "It’s colddd!" Snuggling tightly in his loose black kimono, probably addressing the pieces of titan flesh that had managed to stick on his face.

"What’s wrong, Lucien?" He finally turned to , subrged four feet deep in the below-freezing, disgusting pieces of titan flesh.

C–Could’ve warned , you know... I said under my breath before shaking my head repeatedly, "Nothing. I just had a request regarding Alyndra."

"Yes? I would be pleased to comply as long as it’s sothing I am able to." Subaru nodded nonchalantly while wiping gooey flesh from his face.

Subaru stood beside Alyndra’s burning body. He had stopped regenerating, his eyes glowing fanatically, his face was still filled with sadness, but he looked satisfied. As if he had just accepted his defeat while enjoying a sweet lody of violins, now grieving lodramatically.

"So you trusted my words about your vision? These angels might just be an illusion, and I might be taking away your chance with a trick.

Where I trained, all my allies were given a unique ti of the hour every hour to try and kill . That aided quite a lot in the future. You ought not to trust even your allies, and you’re trusting enemies?"

"That’s possible, especially since the beast kin rebels have a figure talented at illusions. But, I know a liar’s face." He looked deeply at Subaru, "You aren’t lying."

He let out a dry chuckle, "So, you even have the spirit world’s blessings? I envy you... I always wanted spirit vision." Alyndra wasn’t talking like soone enduring the pain of being burned alive.

"Was lucky, I suppose." Subaru shrugged, "It’s not that useful to ."

"Really? Talking to dead loved ones and being able to perceive my goddess’ form might just have been the best thing I could’ve asked for." Alyndra turned towards Subaru.

"All share that thought until they actually talk to the dead or see their Gods." Subaru took in a cool breath.

"Now to think of it, you’re certainly weird for a hero from another world. You relate to my thoughts about humans? Most react like that Kael."

"Not just , even Lucien." My eyes widened at the ntion of my na. I never talked to him about this.

"Hm... I guess it was more common than I thought. Lucien acted because he was very involved in this... Why did you? Are you obliged to him?"

My fists clenched. There was still enough ti left for Subaru to kill us all till he lost his powers. I didn’t know the effectiveness of the commandnt as it was my first ti using it.

"I didn’t know why before, maybe I am. But it does not matter much now. I see what type of man Lucien is so I don’t mind helping him. As one of the best spell programrs, I will free myself soon enough if that’s the case and leave."

I released the breath I didn’t know I was holding. Maybe, I should co clean with him, much better than him discovering that on his own naturally.

"I see, you’re really weird." His eyes turned thoughtful as he glanced at a severed hand hanging on Subaru’s black kimono, "So that’s how you tad that artifact.... We definitely could’ve used you."

He closed his eyes with a sigh, "Well... Get it over with already. You’re here to destroy my soul, no?"

"Do you think you deserve heaven?"

"I take pride in the harm I prevented. What do you think?"

"That you’re a fool for to think in what could be than what is. You remind off the that murdered millions for glory while thinking of myself as a hero and be praised as one."

"Ridiculous, it all seems now." His eyes turned thoughtful, "My daughter and wife... They had a black cloth over their bodies.

When I watched them be lit on flas, burning like you’re, I didn’t know that they were the ones who hated so much to attend a black mass in order to kill . They beca heretics because they hated so much."
